The Book Club Kit: Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams from We Are Bookish is absolutely fantastic! It’s packed with thoughtful discussion questions, background info, and engaging activities that really enhanced our reading experience. The material is beautifully put together and sparked such rich conversation within my book club. I’ll definitely be using this resource again in the future—it's a must-have for any serious book club. Highly recommend!

-I enjoyed hearing the inspiration for this novel and background in the author interview.
-The discussion questions were open-ended and thought provoking. Perfect for a book club setting.
-The printable bookmark available was a cute addition to the guide.
-Trying to decide which themed-food/drink for a book club meeting can be difficult. I liked how this guide provides ideas.
-The playlist suggestion is immersive and takes more pressure off the book club host since this is taken care of already.

Great read! First read from this author. This book makes me want to read more from this author. Kept my attention and interest until the end.

I run a book group that is all about the intersectionality of gender, race, class etc where we read fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and plays that dabble in an assortment of genres for ages twelve and up. A kit like this makes it 10x easier to prep for my discussion that month with a sort of guideline for what sort of questions can be asked on top of the author interviews. I also really enjoy the handouts that these kits provide. The book marks and even book related lists are great for patrons wanting more from the book group.

I loved the vibrant color scheme of this book club kit as it kept my attention while scrolling through the pages. The questions asked to the author elicited very deep and genuine answers that I appreciated. I liked doing the personality quiz and love the many book recommendations provided.
