This downloadable and/or printable kit will be a great tool for book clubs reading Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley. I was thrilled to see how much detail was included in the kit, and it's the perfect size with an interview with the author, thought-provoking discussion questions, handouts, and a suggested reading list for those who want to read more books on Indigenous communities. The kit provides helpful and informative information that I can't wait to share with other book club members. I greatly appreciate the effort that went into creating such a useful tool that deepens our understanding of the importance of this book.

I really liked this. My book club is reading this book now and we have a meeting later this week and I'm so happy I stumbled across this so that we can use it in book club and talk about it. I love that it has extra things about the book and from the author

This is a fantastic resource from NetGalley & We Are Bookish! Thank you for the attention to details like the graphics and printable bookmarks that make this just fun to have and use. The content warnings are always helpful to gauge what folks have capacity for and the author interview was a great addition to the experience by offering insight for readers, beyond the thought-provoking discussion prompts.

This book club kit is delightful and seems clearly written by a booklover FOR booklovers! It’s so helpful to have something to use as a guide for conversations, and would be especially helpful for someone starting or joining a book club as well as anyone who wanted to deepen the discussion about the topics this story brought up for folks.

Special shout out for the inclusion of suggestions of books to read next AND Indigenous community resources! Loved that!

If I start a book club, this would be super helpful. However, I teach middle school, so this is not a book I would teach to my students. The themes would likely be triggering to some of my students. I however loves Firekeepers Daughter, and if I had people to start a book club with, I'd love to do this novel.

This is a fantastic book club kit! Everything you could ever need in on place with a lot of fun extras.

I often have to make my own book club material and the things I look for when creating my own are author interviews, further reading suggestions, and content warnings. This kit has all that and some! It has questions for your group, printable bookmarks, how to support Indigenous Communities and a letter from the author.

You really can't ask for more when it comes to a book club kit!

I’m so grateful to all these book club kits having content warnings nowadays. It’s definitely something I think is super important for a lot of readers and I really appreciate that these kits are all taking the time to include them.

Truthfully, oftentimes when I read author interviews, I find myself skimming through certain pieces looking for the information I’m really interested in. And most of the time, I don’t particularly learn a ton of new things. For this particular author interview, however, it was an exceptional opportunity to learn about a culture I’ve not been particularly immersed in through my life. And I just loved the question related to the author’s quote regarding writing to preserve a culture. This is such an important fact to keep in mind and it really speaks to you when you think about how important books are to be our looking glass not only into the past, but into the present and the future.

I especially loved this book club kit because not only does it get into important topics and educational knowledge that we as a society need to immerse ourselves in, but it also strives to expand opportunity to learn and know these things. Not only are there further book recommendations, but there are also recommendations to resources outside of the realm of fiction. And I thought that was really cool!

This kit is very thorough! It has everything you could need for a book club, along with extras like book marks I wouldn't have expected.
I look forward to putting this forward in a book club.

The questions were good and I loved the page about supporting indigenous communities. I wish some of the text was bigger.

FANTASTIC kit!! Boulley's interview adds even more authority and weight to her work. The discussion questions are thought-provoking, and I really appreciate the information about real organizations that readers can reach out to, both to learn more about Indigenous peoples and to care for their own well-being.

Aesthetically, I really liked the branding of the kit as a whole, with the same-but-different imagery marking each page. It really makes the kit a whole unified package.

I love this book club kit! It's both aestetically pleasing and comprehensive. Gorgeous layout, which includes: an author interview, recommendations for upcoming reads, and discussion questions. I wish there was a kit like this for all books. I'd be more apt to pick up certain books for my book club. The work is done and looks like the making of a good time.

I loved how comprehensive this Book Club Kit was! Featuring a great bit of Author Interview, we learn some great information about Angeline Boulley and her motivations/feelings/desires in writing and sharing this story. I never realized how much of herself, she put into Daunis' character. In addition to the great author input, I loved the reading suggested too. Several of the listed books or their authors are already on my TBR but there were several new ones as well. I appreciate the varying age range for those recommendations too, since Firekeeper's Daughter is YA but written with some darker themes.

I love the book lists that are included at the end of this guide! As well as the bookmarks and the other little extras. Super cute and informative.

This might be one of my top 10 books of all time. It's intense and captivating; I couldn't put it down. I read Firekeeper's Daughter in one sitting and I wanted more! While it is a YA novel, I would recommend it for adults as well. An amazing perspective that is so often lost on bookshelves.

As a teacher, I have now included this book in my classroom library for my middle school students. It's a vitally important topic that all students should be exposed to.

While this book kit doesn't have as many interactive features as some do, the book recommendations and resources are appreciated, and the discussion questions will make for a thoughtful book club!

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC.

I'm very thankfull for the trigger warnings in the begining. I'm sensitive to one of them, so I could prepare mentally when reading. Also, the bookmarks are just lovely!

While this is my first book club kit and review of one, I thought this kit had a lot of cool things that I didn't expect. The author interview included several interesting questions, some of which I had wondered myself and others I hadn't thought of. It included the typical "what inspired this story" type questions, but there were also questions about her culture and tying it to the book. It was very interesting to read. The printable bookmarks were very cute. My book club felt as though the discussion guide had several good thought-provoking questions that tied to the book. My favorite part of the kit were the book recommendations at the end. While I am not of indigenous culture, I love supporting authors of different ethnicity/belief/etc. and reading about different perspectives/ways of life. I also love authors supporting other authors, especially those of "minority," since not a lot of people know/read indigenous books or know of resources/helplines for Indian communities. Overall, this book club kit was great quality and I would recommend it to others.

I finished reading Firekeeper's Daughter recently and found this to be a really comprehensive kit (which is perfect because I'm thinking of pitching it as the next book for the book club I'm in...).

I thought this would mainly consist of a bunch of discussion questions, but it's organized well and contains content/trigger warnings, the book synopsis, an author interview, discussion questions, suggestions for other books to read (written by indigenous authors), and even a list of organizations that help to support indigenous communities. It'd be lovely to have a kit like this for every book club pick we had!
