This was very slow to start for me. I found that there was too much detail which is strange considering I felt like that there wasn't much actually happening. Like anyone, I love it when characters are well developed with world building and their history is given, however, there was so much from each of the 5ish POVs that it just gave the impression being quite messy and jumbled.

I got to 35% and was still none the wiser about what direction the book was heading in and I actually didn't like some of the themes and it made me uncomfortable.

It's a shame as the premise itself is actually quite interesting but the execution wasnt there for me. I wish I could like it but I DNF at 35%.

This was an enjoyable read that definitely gave off supernatural and dark/disturbing vibes. It is well written, with an enaging storyline and well developed characters. I didn't know what to expect but I really liked it and it will be with me for a while to come.
