This is the third book in the series and is told from the viewpoint of Joy Applebloom. Joy is a ten-year-old girl; the sort who looks for rainbows when it's raining and silver linings. Joy's family have stopped travelling and have moved in with Grandad meaning that Joy finally feels that she has found a place she can truly call home. She has a new best friend and together they are navigating their way through their last year in primary school. But then a new girl joins the class and Joy learns that although she may have travelled, there's a whole world she hasn't explored yet.

What is brilliant about this book is that it is teeming with facts which are woven within the story. There are facts about Space and the oceans and these will make this story have appeal to a wider audience.

Expertly written, the characters are relatable and so this is a heart warming and enjoyable read.

Thank you to @NetGalley & the publishers Simon & Schuster for this e-ARC to review.

This was such an uplifting and cute read! I loved the writing and the character of Joy. She's so sunny, optimistic and just a refreshing protagonist! The plot was great as well and so were the themes! I will definitely be reading more from this author!

I read the first book in this series last year, and instantly fell in love with the irrepressibly positive Joy Applebloom! Planet Joy is a fantastic addition to the series, and is at once heart-warming, funny and above all, feel-good! In this book, we revisit Joy as she is part way through her first ever year at school, and find that she is still struggling to get along with her teacher, Mrs Hunter. But not for long! Because Mrs Hunter is leaving to have a knee replacement, and the amazing Mr Suarez is taking over. Suddenly, school for Joy becomes the most enjoyable of places, with fun, laughter, excitement and wonder that can't even be dampened by the mysterious Phoebe Dark, or sister Claude's latest good cause. A super read that will leave you with a huge grin on your face!
