Very good. This story takes you on journey that is full of twists and turns. Even though you might think that you have worked out who has done it you will be surprised by the end. It also deals with the question of what love truly is and what you would do for it.

I loved the portrayal of Mexico in this one, it felt really raw and authentic. Hooray for writing a complex, multifaceted females main character - a woman who is a mother but so much more. Really well paced and a gripping story.

This is better suited to the US market I think. Here in the UK, the road names, Spanish expressions and fast food outlets are unknown, as, I suspect is the economic trouble that underpins the story. Great premis though, but overlong and stodgy in places, which removes any tension. The boyfriend and his family are completely wasted here, yet are, by far, the nicest and most recognisable people in the book. A wasted opportunity to show how crime affects everyone around it, not just perpetrator and victim. I’m giving three stars instead of two, as, with editing, it could be good.

A wonderfully gripping read but just be aware that this is more drama than mystery/crime, despite the murder that takes up much room in the blurb. Gutierrez has created two complicated female characters and runs two timelines, both of which are engaging and compelling.

Wrapped up in this very accessible book are important issues: the pressures that are still imposed on women to be the perfect wife and mother and to repress unruly desires for excitement and selfhood; and the deep trauma and self-division that comes from witnessing an abusive marriage close up. Neither becomes subject to soap-box hectoring and are woven tightly into the story.

The prose is unobtrusive, the scenes painted with depth and detail, and there's a nice intergenerational commentary going on as Cassie in 2007 writes the story of Dolores from the 1980s, a merging of supportive female voices.

A page-turner with important things to say.

The premise of the book sounded great, a woman leading a double life and one of her husbands killed the other.. who doesn’t love a thriller however I’m sad to say this wasn’t for me, it was a bit too slow and drawn out & more of a family drama than a thriller,

Thank you the the publisher and netgalley for the opportunity to receive a digital ARC of this book. .

A different read. Set in Texas and Mexico a duel story both in timeline and by two characters. A true crime blogger discovers an old murder case from the 80's. A women in the middle who was married to two men. One killed the other. An interesting domestic crime drama discovering how Lore got away with being married to two men at once and discovering more secrets on the way.

The premise of this book sounding really interesting. It was very slow and drawn out to get started but once I got into it I found I was invested to see where the story was going.

Cassie is a true crime writer. Lore was married to two men (one found out and murdered the other)!

Chapters were told from the point of view of Cassie and Lore, past and present.

This book was longer than average and as I said, a bit drawn out. Had it been shorter I think it would have been more of a page turner. Also, the use of foreign text in the middle of sentences spoilt this for me as I had to look it up to see what it meant.

Maybe with this being an ARC there might be some editing before publication?

Many thanks to Netgalley, the publishers and author for the opportunity to read an early copy. I won't review on social media etc as I will wait to see if there is an edited version first.

The premise of this book was really interesting but I felt the story was far too drawn out with too much descriptive prose. I liked the characterisation and had the book been shorter it could have worked better. The constant usage of Spanish spoiled the flow for me although for a native speaker this could have been a bonus,
The use of real life incidents added to the authenticity of the setting and I did enjoy the basic storyline, I just felt it needed some serious editing.

Lore Rivera was married to two men but then one of them found out and murdered the other.
Cassie Bowman is fascinated by true life murders and becomes intrigued with Lore and her story. Luckily for her Lore is willing to talk about her past and her story.
However, Cassie has a secret and as she becomes close to Lore she reveals it.
But where does this leave Cassie?

More Than You'll Ever Know revolves around the story of Lore, who was married to two men until one murdered the other. True crime writer Cassie is desperate to get to the heart of who Lore is and what really happened that night thirty years ago.

I really enjoyed how the story was told from both women's perspectives, the flashbacks to the 1980s and finding out how Lore led two completely separate lives.

As soon as it became clear that all was not as it seemed I was hooked, I couldn't wait to find out the truth about the past.

This book makes you think more about our obsession with true crime and how we view those involved. A fascinating read.

More Than You'll Ever Know has a true crime vibe, an excellent sense of place and time and complex, flawed characters that immerse the reader in their lives. It's an emotional exploration of marriage, parenthood and relationships and is gripping. The true crime aspect gives it a contemporary slant, but it tells the story from multi viewpoints and timelines.

Lore is an interesting character; she provokes Cassie to evaluate her life and past and face her truth. The crime aspect develops slowly and is more powerful because the reader is invested in the characters' lives when secrets emerge. The final twists I did work out are poignant and resonate and deliver a fitting conclusion to this detailed and engaging story.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

Interesting tale told from a unique angle but doesn’t always hits all its marks.

This book of fiction starts out with each chapter bouncing back and forth between the two stories. This does feel a bit confusing but once you get into the swing of things, it becomes easier. The narrative does on occasion get bog down with some disjointed story telling which does not wholly take away from the storytelling but made me must go back and read again.

The characters are well developed and feel life like though the two main female characters I found difficult to identify with Cassie and Delores though I did love the characters of Fabian, Andreas, and Cassie fiancé. As the story is taking from the two women’s points of view, it created a little bit of a barrier for me emotionally.

Overall, it is an interesting book, and it did keep my invested until the end. The conclusion was well constructed and think overall, for the right audience, this maybe right down their street. Unfortunately, I liked it but was not enthralled with it but I did like a lot of the ideas and what the author was trying to say.

Dolores “Lore” is married to Fabian, has twin boys and works hard for a Bank. Her job involves her travelling to Mexico from Texas. She is happily married and adores her boys. Her husband’s business is going under due to exchange rates etc which does put a strain on thir marriage especially when Fabian leaves to go to Austin to try and start a business there. Dolores always accepts his decision as he is doing this to protect the family. She is going to a wedding of a client of hers when she meet Andreas and she is totally captivated with him. She decides when home that it was a “one night stand” but Andreas gets in touch and she cannot help herself with the feeling she has for him and indeed her husband. She is caught between two loves which continues or several years. Cassie Bowman is a crime blog writer and as she is googling looking for a story she picks up an alert about Doroles and she thinks this is a crime story which she can develop into something interesting and maybe a book to set her off on her career path as a serious crime writer. Cassie gets in touch with Doroles who first of all refuses to get involved but after much persuasion Cassie gets her interview. The book then twists and turns from Cassie’s life and what she is trying to find out and the story Doroles is trying to depict. There is much sadness in the book but also intrigue. Cassie chases one lead after another until she can, she thinks, put the story together. As the book progresses Cassie finds herself disappointed with her life which she puts down to Doroles asking her questions which sets her on a different path. As the book finishes I was surprised with the outcome and did not see that coming as I did not think there was any prompts in the book to make me think that “he did it”. I enjoyed this book but I did find the Spanish words a little bit too much – I guess a Spanish reader would love it but not me. Still would recommend the book though

I struggled to get into the book. Some parts were better than others and the need to google the meaning of foreign words did not add to the narration. This book was not one for me but thanks to NetGalley.

This took a while to get going but once it did, I enjoyed it. Cassie and Lore are both complicated women. Challenging to root for because of the choices they make, but you can understand how they happened at the same time. The premise to follow the writing of a true crime book was a great take on the genre, a new angle to tell this type of story from.

I was genuinely surprised by the ending but getting to know the families involved felt like the real story. Rather than being just a mystery, it ended up much more emotional than that. Could have been edited down a little perhaps, I did find it dragging at times but otherwise a solid read.

What an absolutely fabulous book. Cassie is an aspiring writer who adores true crime stories. Tiring of blogging about crimes she decides to contact Lore who committed bigamy, falling in love and marrying two men at different stages of her life. As Cass gets more involved in Lores story and life, she finds her own life and views changing in ways she never could have imagined. This book is absolutely superb and I highly recommend it.

A love story that ends in murder. A tale of two women, Cassie, enthusiastic real crime story fan and Lore who was married to two men at the same time. Fabian was sent to prison for the murder of Lore's other 'husband Andres'. Cassie is determined to seek the truth of what really happened.
As the relationship between Cassie and Lore develops, Cassies own life is brought sharply into focus.

I didn't dislike this story but I did struggle with not really liking either Cassie or Dolores. The premise was very interesting as was the relationship that eventually grew between the writer and the bigamist.

Whilst I could have coped with the odd lapse into mother tongue where this became more than one sentence I felt I had to Google the meaning which spoilt the flow but I might have missed out on the meaning had I not done so.

I acknowledge that the problem was probably me, the reader, rather than the author.

I loved the premise behind this book. It was told really well. The plot and characters were very well written. Lore and Cassie both have their own secrets to hide from each other. Really engaging book

Brilliant storytelling and deep characterisations make this a compulsive read.

Absolutely loved the twists and turns of this intelligently plotted book. Both enthralling and passionate this book reveals many of the secretive truths of female desire.

Such an accomplished and poignant novel perfect for these times
