This was such a well written and action packed sequel. I definitely consider the duology to be one of my new favourite series and will be recommending this to everyone, whether they asked or not. I really liked the story and thought the adventure to find the pieces of the heart and save Briseis mother was really interesting, especially as there was a lot of Greek mythology and lore involved.

I didn't think that I could love Briesis any more than I did in This Poison Heart but I fell harder for her in this book and coveted her abilities even more so whiist reading this. The writing is incredible with an engaging and captivating storyline that although carrying on from the first book felt completely new. and well developed and incredibly relatable characters and some of them will have an eternal place in my heart - honestly at this point I am passing them blankets, cushions and snacks.
As with the first book this book is rich in fantasy and greek mythology, which honestly is becoming one of my favourite things, I cannot get enough of it, and fused together with refernces to other popular culture made this an incredible read.
And lets just take a moment to talk about this front cover I mean you always know that you are going to get a good one, but honest this is EVERYTHING. It is so stunning I cannot wait to get a physical copy so i can annotate it, stare lovingly at it and just genuinely worship it. I LOVED IT.
