This book is funny but true to life. The book centre around Claire and the break up of her marriage, making friendships and starting life as a single mother. It made me laugh, cry and I wanted to be one of her new friends. Can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next! Love it.

I loved Gill Sims why mummy … books so I had to read this one. There were some laugh out loud moments and I loved the new friendship of the sisterhood. Some of the characters really irritated me but that’s the sign of a good writer.

I’ve enjoyed the why mummy… series so was really pleased to be able to review this book. You’ll go through a whirlwind of emotions from laughing to feeling sad and every feeling in between. Sometimes strangers can make the best of friends!

I didn't know what to expect, as I'd never read one of Gills books before, but it certainly wasn't this!

It made me laugh and cry, the characters grew on me and I wanted to read on.
It isn't Shakespeare, but it's light hearted and entertaining.

I absolutely loved this book, I think most women will see themselves in at least one of the characters in this story. A nice quick read. Thank you

Thank you to NetGalley, the any and HarperCollins for a digital copy of this book.

If you’re familiar with books by Gill Sims this is the same style. Enjoyable, funny and sad in places.

Good read which follows Claire and a group of friends through navigating who they are. For Claire it’s an affair but the group includes a widowed woman, a divorced single mother and a younger married mother.

We follow the group through a period of personal discovery for each of them.

Well worth a read.

As a big fan of Gill Sims "Why Mummy..." series, I was eager to read this one and although its still got the same elements of humour that I suspect only a mum in the UK will completely understand, it is a deviation from the series.

In this book Claire is mum who quite early on discovers that her husband is having an affair and goes on a journey to rediscover herself, picking up a few friends in need of discovering themselves along the way. It has the usual self-deprecating humour and the 'I love my kids but they still drive me insane' qualities alongside the playground yummy mummies, the PTA and the husband that doesn't really see her. This book, however, deals with a cheating husband, loss and grief.

I give it 4/5 as I felt that we spent a long time in the book before the Saturday Night Sauvignon Sisterhood is formed and I'd liked to have discovered more about the other women, as well as Claire's new man. An enjoyable read though, but be prepared for a few potential triggers relating to cheating partners and unexpected death.

Thanks to Netgalley and Harper Collins for a free copy in return for an honest review.

Introducing the Sauvignon Sisterhood, a new group of friends united by their love for liquid therapy. Together, they might convince Claire that, like a fine bottle of red, life can improve with age. Or at least, there's more to it than the joy of an M&S non-iron school uniform.

This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and I would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

I enjoyed this emotional rollercoaster of a book.

At first I thought it was going to be your typical yummy mummy’s husband has an affair and how she navigates life post divorce. I was wrong. It was a little bit of that but also so much more.

Claire accidentally sees a message between her best friend Emily and her husband Andrew about a night away. Claire tries to move on and forgive her Andrew but is unable to and they eventually split.

Claire then meets 3 new friends who are also going through a tough time. They decide to try new exciting hobbies out of their usual comfort zone. What could possibly go wrong.

This book had me laughing and crying, often at the same time and is a great summer easy read. I liked how the story jumped ahead in time so we could see how Claire and her friends friendship blossomed into a sisterhood. The ending was fab, not unbelievable like this genre often is.

I love Gill Sims novels so when this came up on Netgalley I was so glad that I got a chance to read it.

This was just what I needed at this point in my life, something to embrace me, with well-rounded characters and laugh out loud comedy. I loved it.

We meet Claire, oh wow she is literally brilliant - if we all had a Claire in our lives then it would make such a different. Claire is having a difficult time in her personal life and the reader gets the insight of her life. How she deals with situations is just amazing and so much fun to read about.

We meet some amazing other characters in this novel and it just blew me away. So realistic, fun and bloody brilliant.

I would love to read about Claire again and I hope this becomes another series of novels by Gill Sims.

Thanks to Netgalley, Gill Sims and the publishers for allowing me a copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

This was a quick, well wrapped-up novel. I appreciated how quickly the problem is introduced, but it felt like a lot was missing from this book, particularly for the characters Kate and Mary.

4,5 Stars

I absolutely loved the Mummy books by Gill Sims and thus wanted to read her new stand-alone novel as well.

This time we meet Claire, who makes a shocking discovery at the beginning of the story and then has to reassemble her life. Get rid of the old, welcome the new - this kind of thing.

It's fair to say that none of this is really creative, and yes, Gill Sims also uses a fair amount of clichés - like the super-duper yoga-yummy-mummy with fake smiles, passive-agressive behaviour, children with ridiculous names and lecherous husbands. (The whole episode with the camping trip would have made me furious in real life! But Claire actually enjoyed it in the end.)

But even though the content of the book might not be innovative, the writing style really makes up for that. Somehow I really enjoy the way Gill Sims describes her characters and all that is happening to them very much (and I'm always glad that - compared to them - my life is so much better :-)).

Fab! Another great book by this author. Easily a read in one sitting book as it’s hard to put down once you start. Funny but poignant too.

Rapidly becoming one of my favourite authors. The book resonates as I have passed through the family period where you take your eye off your relationship. Getting caught up in the social expectations of childrens commitments and classes, playdates and socializing with people who then you have to host back.
Cheating and the ramifications spread wide and finding who you are when you are still a working mother but no longer a wife. Who is your tribe and making new friends is hard.
A funny story that made me laugh out loud whilst feeling the anguish of the character
