As a lover of Cornwall and Pottery this was the perfect story for me made even better with a little romance thrown in. Gorgeous descriptions of the setting, I could visualise it all the way through. I really warmed to some of the characters such as Darren and Gryffyn so much so I'm hoping there will be a sequel that will let us follow their stories along with Anna and her little daughter Maisy. Great book

What a sweet book. I loved this book. A quick, easy read and a lovely ending. It made me feel happy when I finished it as all the loose ends were tied up. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

Triggers: gambling, childhood cancer, problematic parenting and childhood trauma.

This story is quite a steamy story for a chick-lit summer romance novel. It features very sexy pottery reminding me slightly about the Ghost movie.

This is a relatively easy-going plot that takes on some larger sensitive issues. Overall, this is a very enjoyable, steamy summer read.

A good read although I didn't particularly like Ruby, because she had issues with her dad leaving when she was young she tarred all men with the same brush and didn't listen to what her friend wanted, but that's just what I thought.
Overall I did enjoy it

Having read quite a few books now from Donna Ashcroft, I was very eager to receive an ARC of this book and get reading!

The Little Cornish House was a somewhat predictable light easy chick-lit read with a few steamy scenes thrown in the mix!

Usually a book of this genre I would devour in one sitting but I found myself not being really able to sink my teeth in but stuck it out until the end.

I found it hard to get totally invested in the relationship with Ruby and Gabe but enjoyed how their relationship progressed and how they got their happily every after.

I really enjoyed reading about Ruby's Grandmother Lila. I found her to be a very quirky character and would love if there was more to the story between both her and famous potter Gryffyn. It would make for great reading!

Overall an enjoyable easy read.

A really lovely read, touching on some important issues too.

Ruby visits her grandmother in Cornwall, which also means facing up to bits of her past.

I enjoyed The Little Cornish House! It was a heart-felt story of family and how we can overcome the disappointments involved. I loved Ruby as the main character and empathized with her need to protect her heart due to past hurts. The side characters in the story were all well thought out and only added life and dimension to the story. This was my first Donna Ashcroft book and I will be picking up more in the future!

A lovely story. I loved the unraveling plot, the mystery of who was targeting the brewery, I had my suspicions, but I think like Gabe I wanted to believe the best of Aaron.
I loved the pottery lessons and the sparring/flirting, the variety of ages was great too.
This was a lovely read and a wonderful way to spend a weekend.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

I loved reading this perfect summer read.

Ruby has come to Indigo Cove to help her grandmother at “The Pottery Project” while her assistant is on holiday.

She herself, hasn’t done pottery for a long time as it connects with her father, who she doesn’t want to have anything in common with.

As she’s helping Lila, she meets Gabe and straight away there is chemistry between them. But, Ruby, is not wanting to go with her feelings as she thinks that no man can be trusted.

She also meets his twin brother Aaron, Ruby finds things out about Aaron that force her to investigate more into his relationships, and what she finds out isn’t a good thing.

How will Gabe feel when she tells him what she’s discovered and does Gabe make her change what she thinks and take a chance together?

I loved that there was a mystery/suspense about the vandalism and also about pottery and the students that Ruby’s grandmother taught.

Uma leitura rápida, fácil e muito fofinha. Ruby fechou o seu coração para o amor. Gabe vive para assegurar o sucesso do negócio da família. Será que vão resistir?

Adorei o Gabe, o interesse amoroso perfeito, dedicado, prestável e, claro, sexy 😁 Gostei do mistério presente e adorei a avó Lila 🥰

The Little Cornish House is a romance and the first Donna Ashcroft novel that I have read. The setting is likely lovely, although there isn't as much scenery described as I might have wanted. I would have liked more of the actual descriptions of the setting to help me better visualize it. The ocean is beautifully described, but more of the town and surrounding countryside could have been nice to include, also. The focus in Ashcroft's novel is on the characters and the romance. The descriptions of making pottery were nicely done and made me think that learning to make pottery would be a great way to spend a vacation. In one scene I was reminded of the filml, Ghost, and for obvious reasons.

The female protagonist Ruby is not especially likable, since as a friend, she totally ignores what her best friend says to her. On the plus side, she is more complex than many characters in a romance novel, even if not especially likable. To be fair, the male protagonist has his failings too. There is some rather explicit sex, which did not bother me, since the descriptions were handled in a sensitive way, but I do want to mention it, since for some readers that might be a problem.

While there was no mystery who was the villain in this novel, the pottery element does help to make up for the novel's shortcomings. I want to thank the author and the publisher for this ARC, which I received in exchange for my honest review. Thank you also to NetGalley for suggesting this novel.

What a GORGEOUS summer read! I thoroughly enjoyed this Cornish romance about healing, family ties, friendships and moving on. The beautiful descriptions of Indigo Cove made me want to move there immediately! This is an uplifting and heartwarming romance that I thoroughly recommend! 5 sparkling stars!

Ruby has come to Indigo Cove to help her grandmother with her struggling pottery shop. While there she meets some of the locals, including Gabe and his twin brother Aaron. As she falls for Gabe, she finds out some things about Aaron that push her to dig deeper into his relationships, and it’s not a positive outcome. Ruby is insistent upon forcing people to do what she wants rather than what they want, and that was a bit off putting for me. I loved the scenic backdrop and some of the secondary characters had a lot of personal growth. There was a fair bit of steam, which is unusual for these types of books.
Overall, a lot of family dynamics to be resolved, a love story and a gorgeous background.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

Ruby wasn't planning on going back to Indigo Cove but when her grandmother Lila called and asked for her help with the pottery business, she knew she had to go, Now she's in Cornwall and working hard. Gabe, who owns a brewery, is enticing, if infuriating, and he's trying to help Lila as well. These two both tell the story as they build a relationship and try to find out who has been vandalizing various things in the village. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A great Cornish setting and good characters made this one a good read.

🌊Family's family, warts and all: heartwarming ensemble🤗

4.5🌟 stars
This Donna Ashcroft novel did not disappoint. I've read a number of the author's stories and love their focus on life and love in small communities. This novel is easy to read and builds depth in the characters, along with a moving romance and a local vandalism mystery to solve..

Ruby, the female lead in this one, has a great relationship with her grandmother Lila but her father's absentee attitude toward family crushed her and her mother and has turned her away from romance and her love of pottery. The arc of this family's story was touching.

Local brewer Gabe puts family loyalty ahead of everything and it's caused him some major headaches. He's a very put-upon guy with a big heart and probably my favorite character (despite the fact that he is incapable of controlling Sammi, his scamp of a dog😉).

The romance has some heat but nothing too explicit. A lovely read; once I started I just had to finish.

Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

The Little Cornish House is a perfect summer read for those who are looking for a romantic beach read. The coastal town Indigo Cove is the perfect place for Ruby to get away while she helps her grandmother. Ruby quickly learns many of Indigo Cove's citizens are harbouring secrets, even the handsome Gabe. I loved this added layer of intrigue. The characters were relatable and the story was well-paced and easy to read with some surprise twists.
