Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book for an honest review.

Hmm...not sure what to write about this one. Interesting concept of having both Noelle and Daniel chapters. Picked the culprit quite early. Some parts were simply unbelievable.

This book was an enjoyable and absorbing read, I really enjoyed the writing style and loved Noelle for her strength and determination. I did guess what was going on quite early in the book, though, but even so I really enjoyed this one.

This was so good! Very dark and twisted and kept me guessing right to the end. The characters were really well written and believable. I can't wait for another by this author

This psychological thriller is a real page turner. It is fast paced with plenty of twists and turns that kept me guessing throughout. A great debut book. Looking forward to reading more from this author. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Wow what a debut! Impossible to put down full of suspense, keeps you guessing, a real or planned kidnapping? What is going on!!! Loved the short chapters, and the wiring style that kept you questioning everyone

This one sent me on a rollercoaster of emotions: pity, anger, confusion. I was enthralled with how the author, Jessica Payne, made me go back and forth between differing feelings, divided on characters and who I could trust and who I should be rooting for. Domestic thriller to a T.

I also love a book with multiple POV's, so if you're into that, this one checks that off your list.

📚 Book Review 📚 ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Make Me Disappear by Jessica Payne

Perfect on paper Daniel has made it clear that Noelle will always be with him and she knows she is stuck until she reads a story of a new trend….prank kidnapping 🫣 Sounds simple enough…pay to be kidnapped and let go, what could go wrong?!

The premise was something new and exciting and the beginning was great but it started dragging and we weren’t getting anywhere. I felt the few sexual comments were not necessary and took away from the tone of the book. The ending felt rushed and not everything tied up. It was a good read and debut book and I will read more from the author in the future.

Noelle has already realized that her anesthesiologist fiance isn't as perfect as he seems. Then she learns that his previous girlfriend disappeared without a trace and begins to plan her own escape. This Kindle Unlimited title is fast paced and twists and turns in all sorts of directions, some more implausible than others. It was a fun read just to see what was going to happen in the end.

This was so binge worthy and for a debut? I could not put it down! The storyline kind of got a bit unbelievable, but still worth the read! Thriller / suspense lovers- you don’t want to miss this!

I was in such a reading slump recently that the thought of even opening this book felt like a chore - but wow, I'm I glad I did. What a brilliant debut novel by Jessica Payne.

Make Me Disappear has been a thrill to read. What a twist.
It is read in first person, by Noelle, a nurse, and her boyfriend Daniel, an anesthesiologist - both working at the same hospital in Seattle.
The relationship is great at the beginning but very quickly turns sour and has Noelle searching for a way out - and boy, she doesn't half find a good one!

I'd love if there was a sequel to this, but equally, I reckon I'll read anything by Jessica Payne from now on.

Thank you to the Publisher and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wow 🤩 loved this book 📚, For a debut novel , it kept you gripped from the first page ! When I read the cover of the book I did think , ‘yet another woman kept prisoner in their house by her controlling husband’ but that was so not the case !! An original storyline told from the POV of the two main characters which kept you wanting to read ‘ just one more chapter’ before you went to bed! Will definitely be in the look out for more books by this author

I liked this book! I couldn’t put it down. I liked the premise of this book a lot and also liked that it was set in the Pacific Northwest! Noelle did what she had to do, to get out of her relationship with Daniel and it was a ride!

DNFed. This was hard to read. There were so many instances that I felt like I wanted to punch the main guy (I forgot his name). He was so unlikeable and the way his chapters were narrated were ick. Maybe it's a good writing technique but it felt creepy and it made me uneasy. And the plot made me uneasy as well. But I'll be giving a try on this author's other work.

Jessica Payne's unique twist on one woman's desire to escape her controlling and manipulative boyfriend had me instantly captivated by her debut thriller, 'Make Me Disappear'. Unfortunately, the book didn't end up thrilling me as much as the initial idea of it did.

When Noelle is backed into a corner in her relationship with her boyfriend Daniel, she is left with only one plan: to arrange for her own kidnapping. Daniel's control has spread to all aspects of Noelle's life and she fantasizes about her freedom when finally her moment comes and she is kidnapped as planned. But freedom is going to be a lot more difficult to reach than Noelle thought, and Daniel isn't going to give her up so easily.

I enjoyed the alternating time frame; looking back into the beginning stages of Noelle's relationship with Daniel and then getting both Noelle's and Daniel's views on the present events of her escape. As some surprising turns began to unfold, the thrill of the ride soon became just a bumpy road as more and more details were inserted and made for a messy and convoluted story. I never became invested in Noelle's character, nor did I feel as empathetic for her situation as I probably needed to be in order to invest in her overcoming the ongoing challenges throughout the story. The author developed an attractive main idea and had some creative highlights that caught me off guard, but through the second half of the book and into the perplexing conclusion the addition of more and more pieces overcrowded the story line I was enjoying. Payne's creativity in how she addressed the theme of domestic abuse and control, however, is not to be ignored and I will be watching out for what she conjures up next as it is sure to have another unique spin.

I appreciate the both the publisher, Bookouture, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an electronic Advanced Reader Copy in exchange for my honest review.

Definitely an interesting book. Well written characters, lots of secrets coming to light as the story goes on. Very interesting premise and pretty original. Saying much more would give too much away.

This was a good read, I did enjoy the story line, but felt it was a bit drawn out in the middle. I had to keep pushing myself to finish it, and the end was slightly rushed although a good ending.

I really enjoyed this book! The writing style was great. I loved not only the dual POV, but the dual timeline as well! The flow of back and forth kept me intrigued and wanting more. I especially enjoyed the writing style used for the MMC; the way his brain creepily and eerily spoke to the FMC gave me chills. It definitely gave me YOU vibes with his internal monologue. If you enjoy domestic thrillers, I recommend picking this one up for a chilling good time!
