Although Im far too old to be the target audience for this book, I really enjoyed reading it, the characters - Minnie, Lena and Alice - are strong young women, and the messages in their friendships and relationships were powerful and important, I'll be buying it for my teenager for sure

I flippin' loved this story.

Three Girls is a story about friendship and the unique power a group of friends can create.

The story is told in a multi-perspective chapter. We hear Minnie, Lena and Alice and about the trials that they face separately but we also hear the triumphs when they are together. They are brought together through the coincidence of geography but they connected through sport - the strength of which has made them friends.

Besides Three Girls being a totally heartwarming story about friendship it also has a real feminist bite to it and is rather inspirational. In a similar ilk to Derby Girl by Shauna Cross it is the love story between a girl (or in this case, girls) and a sport. This is an undervalued trope in YA and I think that is what makes Three Girls so enjoyable.

Three Girls by Katie Clapham is available now.

A lovely and quick read, this story really took me back to being at school (and being the Tall Girl! "Big Alice" really took me back there).

A lovely story of friendship, life, relationships, and school - all underpinned with a theme of running and training yourself to do something out of your comfort zone. Loved it!

Big thank you to NetGalley, Katie Clapham and the publisher for an e-ARC of this book <333

Three Girls was a super cute, super fun read about running, families, friends, enemies, and trying to figure out who you are ! Minnie, Lena and Alice all go to the same school and all know of each other but they are not friends. When Minnie is hit by a car however, things in their lives change and shift as they try to figure out who they are while navigating frienemies, and their own self doubts. This book was written well with all three girls and surrounding characters written to be fully fleshed out people.

I really found nothing wrong with this book at would recommend it to others! Now time to go for a run !

Three Girls was such a fast and easy read, and I didn't realise what the secret would be before I read, but now that I know, it was a pleasant one. Usually the secrets that are kept in a book tend to be murder or something else along those lines, so this was a nice difference.

(Will update with blog and social posts when live.)

This was a really enjoyable book. The story starts with three girls that only know of each other. As the story progresses their friendship grows. A plus point for this book is that it is a story about teenagers that doesn’t just revolve around romance. Their is a romance element but it’s not the main focus.
