This book “desperate remedies“ by AndruSkull is basically putting into words what my husband has been screaming for the past 30 years and that is psychiatry is it science it’s men taking their best guess. Nothing psychiatrist do has been based on fact and only on pause the building and the best guess. I found this book so interesting and the history of it just enthralls me. I totally loved it and highly recommend it. Although the text is quite academic at times it’s still not hard to get through and as I said I found it so very interesting. I highly recommend this book to those who love history and those all armchair psychiatrists out there. I received this book from netGally and the and the author but I am leaving this reveal voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review but all opinions are definitely my own.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for gifting me this arc in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
