This is a beautiful book about the yellow warbler and her migration journey from Nicaragua to Canada. She flies across countries and even an ocean on her journey, and comes across different families from different cultures.

The oil paintings in this book were stunning. My kids enjoyed the story and the illustrations. Thank you to to The Gryphon Press and NetGalley for this digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

An enchanting book about a little yellow warbler's journey across landscapes and climates as she migrates back north to the lakes of Canada from the tropical forests of Central America in the spring. The determined little bird braves the elements and makes her way home, flying for hundreds of miles and persisting through rough stormy weather. The rich imagery conjured up by the text is a true delight, enhanced by lovely, warm illustrations that show the warbler in different environments, as well as children who see the warbler. Spotting the tiny yellow warbler in the vast landscapes can be a fun challenge, while reminding us that each and every creature is a part, no matter how small, of the amazingly variegated fabric of the universe. The reader is treated to a feast for the senses with the vivid descriptions of nature, wildlife and the native peoples that the little warbler's path intersects with -- an incredible panorama of forests, oceans, mountains, plains, lakes and skies. Reading this book will give the reader a deep sense of tranquillity and harmony with nature -- much needed in these uncertain and chaotic times! I would strongly recommend this book for not only schoolchildren but also teachers and parents, especially nature-lovers and animal-lovers and those with an interest in geography.

This book tells of a warbler's migration from South America to Great Slave Lake in Northern Canada and of the people who notice the bird throughout its journey. The book is filled with beautiful illustrations that capture the differences in the land above which the warbler flies and lands, as well as some remarkable sunsets and storms in the skies. The book also introduces a number of characters and their cultures and families who live in different countries along the warbler's path, including coffee harvesters and Canadian Indigenous groups fighting for rights to protect and use their land. The book starts and ends with information about migration and migratory birds like the warbler. I think this would be a wonderful book for the social studies classroom or when learning about migration in science. As a grade 3 teacher I could definitely see this book in my classroom library and would recommend it to other teachers in the kindergarten to grade 5 range. Thank you to Netgalley and he publisher for the opportunity to read and review this great book!

This is a very beautiful story about appreciating nature, especially about warbler, a kind of migratory bird. The illustration is like from some old paintings and the layout is basic with illustration took a big portion of the pages then the text put on the left or right side of the page. But overall it's nice and informative.

This book has such gorgeous illustrations and so much great information. It was so thoughtfully written. Not only did we learn about the Warbler, but the people and cultures of the people that saw the Warbler on its travels. This would be a great addition to any nature lovers bookshelf and library.

In "A Warbler's Journey", Scott Weidensaul and Nancy Lane (illustrations) have collaborated to make a children's book that is an instant classic.

This book is so beautiful on so many different levels. Not only are the illustrations captivating, but it also introduces children to many important topics such as the interdependence of ecosystems and agriculture, the necessity of green spaces in residential areas, and the migratory nature of birds.

There are so many points in this book where readers can choose to stop and ask questions to help their child learn, such as "Do you know what *abuelito* means?"

I will absolutely be buying copies of this book for my little niece and her friends to enjoy!
