The Bergmans are back! This fantastic romance series returns with Everything for You. Oliver’s grumpy/sunshine relationship with Gavin is a delight, and is a must read.

Oliver is playing professional soccer in LA and is surprised when his coach tells him that he and star Gavin are going to be co-captains this season. Grumpy Gavin, one of the first openly gay soccer players, is not happy about sharing his captaincy, especially since he knows chronic pain will soon bring his career to an end. The two are forced to work together, and while they continually bicker, sparks fly as the attraction between the two grows.

This books features so many of my favorite tropes: grumpy/sunshine, age gap, and, of course, only one bed! But this romance veers away from the typical with its serious discussions of chronic pain and anxiety, which weave seamlessly into the romcom fabric of this book. While Gavin and Oliver both see their own issues as making them “less,” the other convinces him that the opposite is true. Another plus for this romance is that the fact that both main characters are queer doesn’t play a role in their personal struggles; Oliver in particular experiences nothing but acceptance from his family.

As with all the Bergman family books, this one can easily be read as a standalone. The whole family makes appearances throughout the book, as does their gorgeous Washington State A-frame home. My favorite brother in this installment is Viggo, who steals his every scene. I can’t wait until this romance-loving sibling gets his own HEA.

Both Oliver and Gavin are completely lovable, and their individual struggles are illustrated realistically and with compassion. If you love a queer romcom that is equal parts humor and heat, you can’t miss the delightful Everything for You.

Sigh I loved it!! All the Bergman family books are just chefs kiss. I highly recommend this one for any fans of Ted Lasso, because it has strong Lasso vibes. Ollie is the cutest cinnamon role and Gavin is my kind of grump haha

bergman brothers series still is the BEST ROMANCE SERIES. every single book is a fave tbh!!!!

Everything for You is a M/M sports romance with grumpy/sunshine trope. It also features enemies to lovers, only one bed at the hotel, "I feel ill right now so I need the help of my grumpy neighbor to cook some dinner for my niece", and "gosh I hate being attracted to you but I AM" trope. Oliver and Gavin play on the same soccer team and they just became co-captains. Gavin is the grumpiest GRUMP TO EVER POSSIBLE LIVE ON THIS EARTHH. While Oliver is sunshine, bright colors, and smiles for days. Gavin is annoyed he likes him so much so he's doing his best to avoid him, but sadly that's not possible.

I totally got emotional with this book, but truthfully Chloe Liese ALWAYS makes me emotional and I cry at multiple scenes in her books. This one hits hard and I just!!! Gavin has been very lonely throughout his whole life and the last half of the book just got to me so hard. Can't wait for Viggo and Ziggy's books aaaaaa

I adore Chloe Liese and the Bergman family. This one was as charming as always. I can't wait for the next one!

5 stars - I loved it!

This book had no business being this good!!! I knew going in that I was going to enjoy this book, so I just buckled up and enjoyed the slow-burn, grumpy/sunshine, hate to love ride and loved every second of it! I was so so so excited when I found out Oliver's book would be MM, my favourite books are MM so I was over the moon with this prospect!!

Even if I'm not the biggest slow burn fan, everything else was written so well, the ending was heart meltingly beautiful, it totally made up for teasing us throughout the book! I don't think I've highlighted so many quotes in a book before!

This book is one of those unputdownable, living rent free in your head kind of books with Ted Lasso vibes and musicals with well thought out and expressive characters and, as always with Chloe Liese books, shedding light on important aspects like anxiety and chronic pain.

You will love this book, I guarantee it!

I'm so so excited for the next one!! Who will Vigo end up with??😍

Chloe Liese knocks it out of the park once again, people. Another 5 stars and I'd give it a 6th one if I could.

Oliver and Gavin could not be more different and yet they turn out to be perfect fit, bringing out the best in each other. Between the funniest banter and predicaments, Oliver's most vulnerable moments and his yearning for his own happy ending and Gavin's struggles to open up, to realize that his worth is not tied to him being one of the best soccer player because he is worthy of love for just who he is, Everything For You had me laughing out loud one minute and bawling my eyes out the next one.

You can obviously expect:
- a very funny bunch of elderly poker buddies
- Bergman's brothers shenanigans
- an extremely touching and empowering scene with Ziggy (Gosh I love that woman! I cannot wait to read her book!!!)
- Two...I repeat, TWO Bergman's weddings!!
- through-the-roof levels of sexual tension
- the A - freaking - FRAME is back in all its glory

As usual, Chloe Liese manages to deal with heavy topics with extreme care, grace, respect and honesty. Her writing is a true pleasure to read and her words always resonate with me and educate me on topics I don't know much about.

Please please please if you have yet to read the Bergman Brothers' Series, do yourself a favour and catch up with the first three books before this one comes out in September. You won't regret it. I also highly recommend listening to the playlists on Spotify and/or listening to the audiobooks. The narrators really do justice to the characters and Chloe's writing.

There's something I always say and that's "if all the men in the world were like the Bergman brother, the word would be perfect" and this books proved my words.
This book was like a breath of fresh air, like every book in the series I read. I'm always in the mood to re-read it.

This book deals with topics like chronic pain and anxiety. You see the characters reflect and talk about them through out the book. It’s not the first time that this author has talked about them in her books but she’s always done it beautifully. You can truly understand the effects they have in people’s life.

Like the author said this is her Enemiest enemies to lovers, Grumpy/Sunshine she’s ever written. The tension?Crazy. The chemistry? Off.the.charts.
It is hilarious to see Gavin being so annoyed and frustrated by Oliver but at the same he’s so attracted to him it’s crazy.
We all know Oliver is one of the Man-Cubs. He’s a man child. Pranks,Annoying for the heck out of his family, and everything in between. And he used all his knowledge to torment Gavin. Like is said hilarious.

And for as the Bergman family, yes you will see some babies👀 andddd something else that I’m not saying.🥰

Chloe has easily become one of my favorite authors, and the Bergman Brothers is easy one of my favorite series! This book only confirmed both of those things. Her writing is just sublime, and she creates the best characters!

When grumpy, jaded Gavin is forced to co-captain with happy-go-lucky Oliver Bergman, the tension is strong--the sexual tension, that is! Oliver's had a crush on the older man for years, but Gavin has always acted as though he hated him. However, living next door to each other and being forced to co-lead their professional soccer team leaves many opportunities for them to get closer and see the real men behind each of their façades.

Olive brought major golden retriever energy, leading to such a fun dynamic with moody Gavin, but we also see past that to his insecurities and anxiety. I could relate so much to Oliver's people-pleasing perfectionism, as well as his anxiety and panic attacks. Seeing how Gavin loved him through those things was truly a balm to my soul.

This book was so refreshing? I read it whilst being exhausted between midsems to relax and it was perfect for that. I liked the attention to detail like finally someone said std free instead of clean(the wonders of having sensitivity readers), there were two autistic side characters and it made me so happy because they're just existing and it's nice!

I actually had fun this was a good time although it's not enemies to lovers though(softcore red white and royal blue-esque version of it?) but I don't expect contemporary to have high stakes that I like, opposite sides of war and murder that's more a genre thing than anything else.

I liked that everyone actually read as an adult even when they were having problems because whenever I try books with age gaps the younger person always reads whiny and teenager-like but here the characters read like people! they have their jobs and family and actual friends outside of each other and I loved their interactions with each other's friends. Like jealousy was played for laughs and sometimes it just is funny and nothing else, I also really liked oliver's family, I'm thinking of reading other books in the series.

only a little complaint but i like the sports part of sports fiction a lot and we didn't really see much of it so that was a bit disappointing but overall this was solid!

one of my favorite scenes was a side character saying he's all for doing away with toxic masculinity but he still does not like unsolicited hugs and so true bestie<3

Everything for You is a humorous slow burn sports romance invoking the enemies to lovers, forced proximity, grumpy with sunshine, opposites attract, only one bed, and age gap romance tropes. It deals with topics such as homophobia, anxiety and panic attacks, chronic pain, cheating and heartbreak, loneliness and depression, career ending injuries, and autism. In my opinion, this LGBT romance is recommended for adults as it has a fair amount of steamy open-door scenes. In addition to fans of the other Bergman Brothers books, I highly recommend Everything for You to fans of Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston, Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall, the Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy, Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood (releases August 23rd), Tools of Engagement by Tessa Bailey, The Hating Game by Sally Thorne, and the Brown Sisters trilogy by Talia Hibbert. I think that one of the morals of this story is that you shouldn’t let your pain and fears get in the way of your love and happiness.

First off, I thought that both Oliver and Gavin were totally swoon-worthy, and I loved how their story was full of both romance and steam. I also liked how we got to see lots of the other Bergman siblings (and their significant others) - I don’t want to spoil anything but there may be some wedding bells and baby Bergmans in this book! Having recently watched Ted Lasso, I loved how Oliver and Gavin were reminiscent of Ted and Roy respectively. Oliver reminded me a bit of Ted because he is newer to the profession and has a sunny disposition. Gavin reminded me a lot of Roy Kent; like Roy, Gavin is a bossy, grumpy, closed-off, veteran English soccer player who is having a tough time accepting the upcoming end of his career, likes to swear and use the word “oi”, and is secretly a softy around kids. Also, being a fan of both Disney and musicals, I loved how one of the ways that Oliver and Gavin bond is by listening to the “Encanto” soundtrack and watching “Hamilton”. I also really enjoyed the humorous elements including Oliver’s colourful wardrobe and outrageous pranks (especially the prank involving a glitter bomb).

I honestly loved this book, so it was hard to think of downsides. One minor drawback for me was that, seeing as both the main characters are professional soccer players, there was a lot more soccer happening on page in comparison to the other Bergman Brothers books. As someone who isn’t sporty, the soccer lingo was a tad challenging to decipher and follow. Additionally, this slow burn was almost too slow…there is a lot of secret mutual pining before anything romantic happens between Oliver and Gavin. Lastly, Everything for You was a relatively quick read for me (I didn’t want to put it down!) and I affectionately wish it was a little bit longer.

I’m sad that there are only 2 more Bergman Brothers books left – Viggo and Ziggy’s stories. Seeing as both these characters are huge bookworms like myself, I am really looking forward to reading their stories! In preparation for their books, I appreciated that we got see a little more of Viggo and Ziggy in Everything for You.

Overall, I highly recommend this slow burn sports romance (as well as the entire Bergman Brothers series) and I think that Oliver’s story might just be my new favourite Bergman Brothers book!

I just love glimpses into the life of the Bergman family. This grumpy/sunshine story was really fun! Cannot wait for the rest of the series.

From the dedication to the acknowledgments, this book was breathtakingly perfect.

Two soccer loving characters, one grumpy and one sunshine, they absolutely brought out the best in each other.

Chloe Liese had my heart aching and my eyes tearing up multiple times in this book, and she absolutely gave us an ending that can’t be described as anything besides perfect.

I dropped my current read for this book, and have no regrets. Gavin and Ollie have this great tension between them, definitely some enemies to lovers vibes, with an extra sprinkling of Ollie with his bright wardrobe and and hilarious one liners, I know this book is going to stay with me for a long time.

We find Oliver Bergman at his brother Axel's "wedding reception" - he's sad and disenchanted, having just broken up with his cheating boyfriend. To make matters worse, said boyfriend is his teammate at the UCLA soccer team.  So, to preserve his mental health, he accepts the offer to play professionally for Galaxy and drops out.

Jump to four years later and everything is going well for him, except for one little thing: for the past two years, he's been playing with the man who was his idol, Gavin Hayes, and the man apparently can't even stand the sight of him. Oliver decided to take the high road and kill him with kindness... but it's so not working. It would be ok if the damn man weren't sooooo attractive. To add insult to injury,  their coach has just appointed them co-captains! And issued an ultimatum: get along or you're both saying goodbye to the captaincy. They're thrown together at every possible chance and did I tell you about the "one bed trope situation"? Can these two get along with all the tension between them, especially since now Oliver has decided to give Gavin "the Bergman treatment" - pranks...oy! 

I absolutely adored this book! It has all the Bergman Brothers goodness and adds a poker-playing band of nosy senior citizens, a pregnant coach who may or may not be playing Cupid, and we get to meet the most adorable member of the Bergman clan! Her introduction to us is the CUTEST. THING. EVER.

I love that the book jumped a few years ahead, making Oliver a little older for this age gap romance. He's an adult now, but still keeping his adorable boyish charm - colorful wardrobe and all. 

I love that Chloe Liese doesn't shy away from tackling touchy subjects. In this book, the hero suffers from severe anxiety and the representation is spot on. There's also instances of homophobia and we have a hero who also has deep feelings of lack of self-worth and all are dealt with a soft and respectful hand. 

We get to see all the Bergmans (we get to see Viggo more, as he's closer to Axel) and they are always a joy to be around. There's a "summit", Viggo still reads historical romance, and we go back to the A-frame for two weddings! 

I can't recommend this enough!

I have read a couple of MM romances. While they are sweet, I still sometimes find it hard to relate to for obvious reasons :)
This Chloe Liese novel is the best MM romance I've read. Being part of the Bergman series helped, (as I'll read all of them with no problem) and Liese's writing makes it so easy to read.
The characters are so wonderful. Do I picture Roy in my head when I'm reading about Gavin? Yes. But that's because I'm coincidentally binge watching Ted right now. Everything Liese is writing about when it comes to soccer is on point. I'm at the end of my soccer journey due to age and injury, and I feel like she's telling me it's okay! It means so much to know that.
Oliver is so sweet, and the advice Viggo gives him about being his true self is so insightful.
Basically, Liese knows how to write a delightful story, and I'll be here for Viggo's and Ziggy's, you can count on that.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this book! I've never heard of this author, and I thought the cover was a bit wonky, so I didn't have high expectations, but boy should I have! This book delivered such a sweet sports romance featuring a gay main character and a bi main character, as well as the representation of chronic pain due to sports injuries and such strong family dynamics. I will 1000% be picking up the previous installments to this series; I think Chloe Liese is going to be my next addiction! I wished the ending was a bit more fleshed out, but I loved these characters and their story so so much :)

Let me just start by saying that if you, too, were brought great joy by Ted Lasso, and if you also fell in love with Roy Kent, then you need to pick up this book immediately.

Gavin gives MAJOR Roy Kent vibes: in an author’s note at the end, Liese explains that Oliver and Gavin are inspired by Ted and Roy!!! What a beautiful tribute to such beloved characters.

Everything For You is the fifth book in the Bergman Brothers series: each book can be read as a standalone, but its well worth reading as a whole because the family dynamics are part of what make this series what it is. On that note, I cannot WAIT for Viggo’s book, and I loved his nod to The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare!

Oliver and Gavin may be teammates, but they’re total opposites: one is a sunshine who wears every color of the rainbow, is surrounded by a boisterous family, and is persistently cheery. The other is a growly, emotionally constipated (but secretly cinnamon roll) loner whose wardrobe is full of black. One is at the end of their career, while the other is just getting started. When their coach forces them to overcome their constant sniping by making them co-captains, it triggers a chain of events that alters their relationship forever.

Chloe Liese writes such beautiful, emotionally intelligent, and funny characters that it’s hard not to recognize parts of yourself and others every time you pick up one of her books — this one is no exception. Mitch’s conversation with Gavin about letting the light in, and Ziggy’s conversation with Ollie about outgrowing yourself brought me to a standstill as I was reading.

I adored the historical romance and Broadway musical references and the only one bed and forced proximity tropes, but most of all I loved the way in which these characters kept showing up for each other.

Chloe Liese does NOT disappoint! This book was full of things that I love. 1) The Bergman family- I love their humor. I love their personalities and how they are so diverse. Most of all, I adore how they love each other. 2) Tropes to die for- Grumpy/ sunshine, teammates (co-workers), neighbors, Forced Proximity, only one bed, sports romance. All gold! 3) The anxiety representation- It was so well done and relatable. The thoughts of needing to be perfect hit the nail on the head for me. 4) Major love for romance novels! God Bless Viggo. 5) love of musicals!!!
My list of things could continue on and on. This book, like every other book in this series, is a MUST read.

This book was so clearly a Ted Lasso rip off that the author said as much in the acknowledgements. It wasn't even very good. I wish the women who write this type of gay romance would actually talk to a gay person before putting pen to paper. She also needs to come up with better obstacles for her characters rather than misunderstandings and "I think he thinks, I think!" It's amazing how she had to twist chunks of the story to justify the reason these two dudes can't be together. Also, this book says it's a stand alone, yet huge portions of the story are turned over to the rest of the family in this series.

p.s. Don't shoehorn diversity into the book. It's totally obvious and unsatisfying, especially since all the main characters are white, and they POC are only there to support them, lacking any shred of character at all.

Just do yourself a favor and add everything Chloe Liese has ever written your TBR pile.

Sports romance? Check. Grumpy/Sunshine? Check? Only one bed? Forced proximity? Family hijinks? Realistic HEA with reasonable drama? Checks all around! The characters are fun, well written and flawed in ways that will resonate with readers. Actual human problems that get solved through actual human growth (therapy…I am talking about therapy) will always make for great contemporary romances. The background characters are, as always, amazing and Liese makes sure we get our fix of all the other fantastic couples in this series. My only note is that this feels very fanfic-y for a popular football-based TV series, so if you find fanfic gone mainstream to be not your jam, this may not do it for you. As for me, this was the perfect mix of tropes, heart and sizzle.

I love Chloe Liese and I love the Bergmans. I could basically end my review right there.

This book was different from the others as it was a MM romance, but still held the same Chloe Liese burn that we've come to know and love. Ollie was adorable. Gavin was a secret softie. The perfect amount of sunshine and grump. I did have trouble not picturing Gavin as a silver fox - ha! There were many mentions of him being "old" and "older" etc but then his age would be mentioned and I was always shocked thinking- "EXCUSE ME, THAT'S NOT OLD!" ;-) but from the professional sports world perspective, I guess it is.
Everything for You is a sweet love story with a HEA. Bonus: lots of fun guest appearances by the Bergman siblings and their offspring!
