A “glamour gone wrong” story. It was much better than I had thought it would be. The characters were interesting and the plot was rather juicy!! A great summer read!

This wasn't what I thought I was going to be, in the best possible way. I thought it'd be just another "group of friend and one is hiding a terrible secret: but it's so much more than that. It's got sa few twists in it that make it a completely original story and the characters themselves are so well written and so cleverly written! This got completely under my skin and I couldn't out it down uni I'd finished it. I loved every second it. Definitely one of the better stories I've read involving this kind of concept

Let's meet Sophie who had left behind the stressful competitive life of the big city of Chicago to settle down with her husband and young son in small town texas. It seems like the perfect life but Sophie is feeling bored and restless.

Then she meet Margot who is ab alluring socialite. Who is part of the Hunting Wives who is a secret elite clique. Sophie finds herself getting caught up, drawn to and swept away by Margot. A world full of late night dangerous parties, obsession, and nasty people

Suddenly a body of a teenage girl is found in the woods where the hunting wives met and Sophie finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation.

What on earth happened?

This is a great storyline, dark, deep and full of twist and turns and tonnes of drama.

I was completely gripped by this book and couldn't put it down, I was hooked right from the very first page. Well written with a compelling storyline and well developed characters. Twisty and unpredictable, I cannot wait to read more by the author.

Very very gripping.
Sophie O'Neill left behind an envy-inspiring career and the stressful, competitive life of big-city Chicago to settle down with her husband and young son in a small Texas town. It seems like the perfect life with a beautiful home in an idyllic rural community. But Sophie soon realizes that life is now too quiet, and she's feeling bored and restless. Then she meets Margot Banks, an alluring socialite who is part of an elite clique secretly known as the Hunting Wives. Sophie finds herself completely drawn to Margot and swept into her mysterious world of late-night target practice and dangerous partying. As Sophie's curiosity gives way to full-blown obsession, she slips farther away from the safety of her family and deeper into this nest of vipers. When the body of a teenage girl is discovered in the woods where the Hunting Wives meet, Sophie finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation and her life spiraling out of control.
The characters were really awesome. I haven't read such brilliant novel from a very long time. Awesome story with brilliant twists.
Thanks to NetGalley and Orion Publishing Group for giving me an advance copy.

The hunting wives by May Cobb.
The Hunting Wives share more than target practice, martinis, and bad behavior in this novel of obsession, seduction, and murder.
This was not what I thought it would be. Different definitely. 4*.
