I saw the authors name and clicked to read without reading the blurb. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased it was the follow-on book from The Family, which was the book that first introduced me to the Bond family. I would recommend reading the books in order.

The storyline follows the twins Beau and Brett, their families, friends, and enemies. The men provide the money by any means, the women rule the roost, and family comes first. The twins are now adults. Beau has married his gypsy girlfriend, and Beau is confused about his sexuality.

I really enjoyed the first book, and this one is just as good. The dark, often gruesome and seedy world they live in makes the perfect escapism read. Lots of shocks and horrific moments, but the one that stands out is what happened to Ricky.

I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series.

We first got to meet Brett and Beau Bond in The Family Man some three years ago. The twin brothers are back with a vengeance, aged 16 and still as ruthless, doing whatever is necessary to protect themselves and their loved ones.

The twin’s grandad Kenny has always put his family first. His days of being in the cut-throat world of crime land are passing him by. That is until his former endeavours come back to haunt him. Kenny just can’t seem to leave the past where it belongs without putting his family in danger.
Beau is getting ready to marry his girlfriend, Jolene. They are deeply in love and Beau will let nothing come between him and his bride, especially the differences in the family’s culture which are clear for anyone to see. Brett has a secret, one he doesn’t want to reveal to his family, especially his more dominant brother Beau, for fear of the fall out.

This story is filled with fascinatingly realistic characters, all presented in Kimberley’s’ unique ‘no holds barred’ manner. A gritty crime land drama with a shocking ending.

Kimberley Chambers is one of my all-time favourite authors. I always eagerly await her new books and pick them up without bothering to read the synopsis. Another enjoyable read from the Queen of Crime.

Oh, My Goodness, where to start? I've been waiting for this second book. and boy it hasn't let me down.

What an amazing crime story this is. I held my breath each time I picked it up wondering what was going to happen next.

Brett and Beau Bond are the main characters— at 16 they are a force to be reckoned with. Both identical twins looking out for each other and guided by their grandad Lenny, they become formidable. One of the other family member had funny antics which lightened the story and gave the reader a chance to recover and breath again.

All of the family are into criminal activities this is the only life they know. The story is brutal and gritty.
Kimberley knows exactly how to keep her readers gripped, there are high's and lows throughout this book.
Another smash hit under her belt.
Brillliant.

Reading a Kimberley chambers book is like going home and watching your favourite soap. Walking around the house with kindle in hand because I need to finish it. Great storyline but I did re read The Family Man before I started The Brothers

I have patiently waited 3 years to get my hands on the this book and boy it was worth the wait!

This is a real page turner that will have you hooked from beginning to end.

This is a well plotted story, with the author managing to make all the characters stories fit so well, Brett and Beau the twins are the main focus in this time around and are both very different. Beau I didn't think could get ant more evil.

As with any Kimberley Chambers book you will know it’s never pretty, someone will always get hurt and it’s never a happy ending!

I was totally engrossed into the lives of the Bonds, Kenny gets himself into some right sticky situations and his world is about to come crashing down..

I absolutely loved this and really looking for Essex Wives.

I love Kimberly Chamber's books!
I have been eagerly awaiting a new book and this did not disappoint.
I liked the way Chamber's incorporated characters from previous stories into it. The book kept me hooked from the very first page.

Members of a gangland crime family, Beau and Brett Bond are identical twins who have always had each other’s backs - and boy are they gonna need it, now more than ever!

Beau will do anything to protect his girlfriend Jolene and his twin Brett, likewise Brett would do anything for his brother, (literally anything) even if it brings violence and trouble to their door.

When Beau and Jolene get married, it brings together two warring families (one Gorgers and the other Romanies) who must put aside their differences if this marriage is to work - much easier said than done, because Beau and Brett have a very dark secret, and the wedding day turns out not to be the best day of any of their lives - and from that day on, things begin to spiral out of control in spectacular fashion, not just for the twins but for the whole family.

Another cracking read from the talent that is Ms Kimberly Chambers. The narrative was raw and gritty, there was some clever plotting, meticulous detail, and an all too credible cast of characters. These characters come fully fleshed, and they’re not all likeable, (although you don’t necessarily have to like them to enjoy the storyline), indeed most of them are everything you hope you aren’t. However, they aspire to exactly the same things that your average everyday person does - a comfortable lifestyle, nice house and car, happy healthy kids, it’s just that the Bond family achieve some of these things in an unlawful and frightening manner!

With an abundance of characters this was a phenomenal read, written in a kind of “Here I am, take me as you find me” style (which Kimberly Chambers excels at, and it’s what makes her books so readable). It’s raw, it’s gritty, yet surprisingly emotional at times, so it goes without saying that ‘The Brothers’ was a total page turner, and worth every one of those 5 stars!

I received this as an ARC from Netgalley.

It was my first time reading this author’s work… it took me a while to get used to changing of character plots/thoughts etc but once I got engrossed in the story it was thoroughly enjoyable… so much so… I need to go and find some more of the authors other books to read!!!

This book is fabulous! The second in the Bond series and packed to the brim with larger than life characters from multiple generations of the family. As one of them marries into an equally crazy travelling family tensions build and sparks fly. Excellent read, cannot wait for the next instalment.

I couldn’t wait to get mu hands on The brothers which is Book 2 in the Bond brothers series. As I have only read the first one recently. I wasn’t disappointed this is even better than the first one.
The twins are now sixteen and have both different personalities. Beau gets married to his traveller girlfriend Joelene even though both families are against it at first and Brett has a secret that he is trying to hide if it gets out his family might disown him.
Grandpa Kenny has also secrets of his own that eventually spiral out of control which gets him in a whole heap of trouble.
This is another unputdownable read from the author from the first page to the last. I loved every minute of it and hope it is not long to wait until the next one. 5 stars from me.

The queen of gangland thrillers is back. Brutal and gritty, yet at times funny and sad,and yes Ms Chambers you did make me shed some tears at the end of the book. Compelling characters that are tough and yet have a vulnerable side, especially where their loved ones are involved.
An outstanding read I loved everything from beginning till the end,the only thing I don't like is having to wait for the next instalment.
I do recommend you read the first in the series The Family Man, which is a great prequel to this book.
thanks to Netgalley and Harper Collins UK for the ARC.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

It seems forever that I've been waiting for the new Kimberley Chambers follow up to The Family and I can tell you its been worth the wait.
In the first book we met the Bond Family and this time we follow the Bond brothers, Brett and Beau who are both now 16.
Beau Bond is about to get married to Jolene. He will do anything to make sure that happens, his love for her is intense and in spite 0f the fact that they are both only 16 he loves her more than anything.
Brett Bond is hiding a secret from his family including his brother who nonetheless are inseparable but there are some secrets that can't be spoken.
Kenny Bond will always put family first and do anything for his grandsons and as the past comes back to haunt them, it may be something they will regret.
This was brilliant, fast paced and I can honestly say I was holding my breath till the last word.
Her writing and storytelling is unique because of the characters she writes. The dialogue is spot on.
I've read everyone of KC books and this one is up with the best. Her OMG moments are legendry.
I can't wait for her next book now.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and author for the invite to read this eARC.

I haven't read any books by Kimberley Chambers for a few years now and to be totally honest I've forgotten what a fab author she is with a wonderful gift of story telling.

The Brothers - wow, wow, wow ..... I have devoured this read in just over a day. I've not felt like this about a book and it's characters in a good while, I was hanging onto every word and couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I found myself picking up my kindle to continue reading whenever I could. This is a cracker of a read that has everything I like - great writing, characters that are realistically and believeably portrayed who are larger than life and jump out of the pages. Some I liked and others I hated. The plot line is well thought out and there are so many threads I felt like I was unwrapping secret after secret. I'm not certain I like either of the brothers, or some of their family members - yet I struggled to put this book down and found it one very addictive read. I think the author really knows how to connect with her readers, lure them straight into the story and keep them entertained from beginning to end. My only gripe, if I can call it that, is that initially I felt it was top heavy with characters so it took me a while to get used to them all and slot into place in my mind. Once I was familiar with them, I began to really enjoy and get into this great read. The ending sets up the next book nicely and I'll definitely be wanting to read that. I can't fault this book at all, I absolutely loved it.

If you're a fan of gangland crime I think you'll like The Brothers and I'd recommend it.

5 stars

Bond Brothers #2

Beau Bond hates fiercely and loves hard. He'll do anything to protect his twin Brett, and his girlfriend Jolene.

Brett is a survivor. He always followed his brother's lead, even if it meant he'd live to regret it.

As Beau and Jolene get hitched, their feuding families must put their differences aside. But the brother have a dark secret that could cause a war between both sides, and what better place to reveal all than at a wedding.

I never ever thought I would cry at a KC book, but cry I did. I can't tell you why, but you'll know when you reach the parts I cried at.

Beau and Brett are now sixteen and following in their grandfathers footsteps. We meet some new faces and extended family members. There are quite a lot of characters to keep track of, but you'll quickly remember who's who. The story is action-packed, and I didn't want it to end. I don't think anyone can top KC at the moment. She has her own unique style in writing. God knows where she gets her ideas from, but I hope she can keep them coming. But please, don't let us wait so long for your next book.

Published 14th March.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #HarperCollinsUK #HarperFiction and the author #KimberleyChambers for my ARC of #TheBrothers in exchange for an honest review.

The second book in the Bond Brothers series and as like the first book The Family Man this was an absolute corker of a read. Kimberley Chambers is one of my absolute favourite authors and as soon as I hear she has a new book out I’ll drop everything else to read it. The Brothers is one of those books that I guarantee that once you start it you won’t be able to put down. This is a gripping read with a brilliant set of characters.

Typical gritty gal and thriller from Kimberley Chambers. New series started with the Bond brothers and their dysfunctional family.
Brett & Beau are twins and at sixteen have already a murky past. Brett is hiding a secret and Beau is eager to get married but before that they have a little problem to get rid of.
Kenny is the granda and the head of the family and he to has secrets and lies in his life.
Great start to what looks like, and explosive series
Can’t wait for the next instalment of the Bind brothers

They will do anything to protect ones they love.
This author has pulled off another blinding read.
Beau and Brett Bond, bond by name and nature, identical in most ways, with totally different personalities, now sixteen years old following there grandad Kenny the family man in more ways than one setting up a family garden business, never forget what side your bread is buttered on.
This London gangster crime book has to be one of my favourite from this author she knows how to entertain her readers. A full bang on blinding read, action packed, and some very emotional chapters that will choke you up big time.
All I can say is I LOVED THE WHOLE LOT OF THIS BOOK.
bring on the next in this series be well worth waiting for.
