I am so grateful for this ARC, however, I didn’t like the writing style at all. The dialogue was so unrealistic to how people actually have conversations. Piper is 27 and doesn’t act that age at all. There was a lot of potential with the storyline but it just wasn’t there in my opinion. A quick read, the writing was simple and there were a few events that occurred throughout the book that could have been described better to get the reader hooked.

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide me review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. I was able to find the audio version through my local library. The story is very sweet and low key. If you like slow paced romance stories you will like this one.

To be honest, I believe this could have been better. I just felt like the writing wasn't giving me what I expected from a romance story. I couldn't connect at all, and the experience was rather forgettable.

Cute summertime read. I read on the beach and it was perfect. Nothing too heavy, but lots of fun. Loved the setting so much!

This was my first book by Georgina Troy and it certainly wont be my last by her. I loved it. It brought back great memories of a holiday in Jersey as a kid and has made me want to go back as an adult.

What a lovely read! I call this kind of read "cosy reads" because it's all so cosy! I loved everything about this book, the settings on the island of Jersey' (first time I read a book that is taking place on Jersey and I loved it! Now I want to go there on vacation!), the main characters who are very loveable, the storyline and the writing style! This book is really charming and if you want to a nice beach read this will be a perfect one for you!!!! 4 stars out of 5

Georgina Troy’s Finding Love on Sunshine Island is gorgeous summer escapism at its finest!

Piper LeBrocq is very happy being single. After the end of her disastrous engagement, Piper is enjoying her life on Sunshine Island, where she spends her days helping her mother out at her guest house and selling her glass mosaics at The Cabbage Patch emporium in Trinity. Surrounded by kind-hearted friends and neighbours, Piper’s life on Sunshine Island is as close to idyllic as it is possible to get. On this enchanting Jersey island, everybody knows everybody else, so the arrival of a handsome new guest certainly gets people talking!

Handsome Alex Cooper has come to Sunshine Island to check up on his grandfather. When his grandfather is injured, Alex finds himself needing help and luckily for him, Piper very quickly offers to lend him all the assistance he requires. Nothing is too much trouble for kind-hearted Piper and the two of them soon find themselves getting closer and closer…

Falling in love was definitely off the agenda for Piper. But the more time she spends with Alex, the more she finds all her resolves to stay single melting like an ice-cream on a hot summer’s day. But is Alex all that he seems? Can she trust him with her heart? Or will his secrets end up putting paid to a future together?

Georgina Troy’s books are great fun and Finding Love on Sunshine Island is a delightful romantic charmer that cannot fail to lift the spirits, tickle the funny bone and touch the heart. Sunshine Island is an idyllic Jersey community I would love to live in and the eccentric, lovable and unique characters peopling this beautiful island will surely find a way to every reader’s heart.

A blissfully romantic treat perfect for Phillipa Ashley fans, Georgina Troy’s Finding Love on Sunshine Island is an enjoyable summer tale readers will adore.

This story is set on the island of Jersey (sunshine Island). The main characters are thee single women - a grandma (Margery) , a mum (Helen) and the main character Piper (the daughter). Piper returned from university with her fiancé and had dreams to travel and live a little before she settled down. However, her fiancé had a different plan! This is the first in a promising series which is set in Jersey and you get a real feel for the holiday island with the coast and surrounding countryside. Piper has, it seems, been burying herself in her life at her mother's Bed and Breakfast and at the same time, building up her own creative business in a local craft centre. You sense from the start that she may be ready to move on from her broken relationship but you can also see her kind nature and fondness for her family.

When Piper meets Alex, there is a certain spark but you also sense that he has a history which is holding him back. Family is an important part of the story and her friendship with Jax is a part of her life which keeps her centred. This is an entertaining read, just right for a summer holiday, with some likeable characters and a beautiful setting.

In short: holiday romance or happy ever after?
Thanks to the publisher for a copy of the book

The Blurb :
Piper Le Brocq is happily single after the disastrous ending of her engagement eighteen months before. The only man in her life is Jax, her best friend and cousin, who spends his life teaching locals how to forage and taking tourists on boat trips around the island. Her days are filled with helping out at her mother's guest house and selling her glass mosaics at The Cabbage Patch emporium in Trinity.
Piper loves living on the Sunshine Island, where the neighbours look out for each other and visitors are welcome. So, when handsome guest Alex Cooper arrives at the guest house to check up on his grandfather, she welcomes him to the sunny island. And when he needs help after his grandfather is injured, she's quick to get involved.
Yet, the more she gets to know Alex the more mysterious he seems, and Alex isn't the only one keeping secrets from her.

My Thoughts :
We meet Piper Le Brocq, Piper is currently single after ending her engagement months before.
She enjoys working at the family b&b along side her mum Helen. Also she runs a stall at the local market called The Cabbage Patch Emporium, selling her glass mosaics.
When a new guest Alex Cooper arrives to visit his Grandfather, there seems to be an instant attraction between the pair and soon the pair become close when Piper helps out Alex’s Grandfather after an injury.
I really enjoyed getting to know Piper and her family. With such a beatutiful setting in Jersey, you can just feel that you are there in amongst the storyline. Georgina Troy gave us some lovely descriptions of the surroundings and the area Piper and her family live in.
A feel good read about family, love and new begginings.
Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Finding Love on Sunshine Island is a cozy heartfelt escape read that you won’t be able to put down.

I really, really adored this book. It had me constantly letting out those happy sighs and wishing I could just step into this book and spend time with Piper and her family on Jersey Island. I am ashamed to admit I might have spent my entire Saturday reading this book. It was just one of those books that you cannot put down. The story has that nice easy-breezy flow with just enough twists and drama to keep me entertained.

Georgina did a fantastic job transporting her readers to the stunning shores of Jersey Island. I really couldn’t get enough of her descriptions of the island. They were just so lush and vivid and had me Googling to see if this island actually exists (it does!). This book has that perfect idyllic setting that I love in my romance books. It also has a charming and quirky community of people living there. There was just such a wonderful mix of people living on the island, and there was this sense of community and willingness to help others that always makes my heart so happy.

Piper is such a fun and endearing character. I loved her relationship with her mom and gran. Piper’s gran and her cousin Jax were probably my favourite characters in this book (besides Piper and Alex, of course). These two have those personalities that you just can’t but be drawn to. Piper’s gran has lived such an interesting life and can be a firecracker at times. I would love to read a book about her coming to the island and making a home for her and her daughter. Jax is a real charmer and has that laid-back, fun personality that always charms my socks off. I am really hoping Georgina decides to write a book about him next.

The romance between Piper and Alex has this sweet slow-burn feel to it. There are so many cute/swoony moments between these two, and the fact that they happened on this gorgeous island had my heart-pitter-pattering even more. There are plenty of will they or won’t they moments, and even though I knew they would get together in the end, I was curious how Georgina would sort out the long-distance factor. The relationship between these two was just so charming and real.

Finding Love on Sunshine Island is a sweet romance set in an enchanting location.

Thank you, Boldwood Books, for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I found this to be a very sweet and easy to read book and having three generations of strong woman at its core was what I enjoyed the most.
We follow Piper in this first book of a new series who helps her Mother run a Bed and Breakfast on Sunshine Island as well as having her own business selling her art work. All is well until a potential new love interest arrives.
This was quick to read and although I enjoyed it overall I did get a little bored half way through and a couple of the characters annoyed me a little too much, having said that, I did fall for Pipers cousin Jax!
I won’t continue with this series but I believe that may be because my reading tastes have changed quite a lot. If there is to be a book about Jax I may be persuaded!

A Sweet story that I pretty much read in one setting. I look forward more books by this author. Cause sometimes all you need is a sweet story to read.

Finding Love on Sunshine Island was a little burst of sunshine, a romance set in Jersey with beautiful picturesque depictions of the island. This book makes for enjoyable summer reading or a good holiday read. The romance between Piper and Alex was a slow burner with plenty of misunderstandings to hold my interest. The secrets between the older generation had an intriguing premise and I enjoyed learning about Piper’s wider family and daily life. Overall, a quick summer read which provides light escapism.
I received a free copy of this book with no obligation to review.

I was drawn into this book straight away. Firstly, the setting felt sort of nostalgic in a strange way as although I’ve never been to New Jersey myself, it felt familiar from all the stories my mum and grandparents have told me about their visits when my mum was young. Also, the wonderful descriptions make it easy to picture and have definitely sold it to me as a unique yet local holiday destination.

I loved the characters. Piper is hard-working, focused, likeable and helpful, but it’s clear there is something in her past she is working hard to forget, or move away from. Alex is enigmatic yet friendly, warm and loyal yet keeping an obvious distance, and this provides the reader with a curiosity that will keep them hooked.

This is a generally light and fun read, though there are some unexpected twists and an overarching feeling of secrecy and keeping things back which helps to add to the excitement and keeps the reader intrigued.

Overall, a light-hearted and engaging read with likeable characters, and a promising start to the new series by Georgina Troy.

I would recommend her books to fans of Holly Martin, Heidi Swain and Jaimie Admans. I look forward to the next installment!
