I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide me review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Geoffrey has unexpectedly inherited a dukedom and must find a match for his sister. He hires Elegant Occasions to help prepare his sister for her debut. He doesn't expect that Diana will attempt to transform him into a duke.

I really liked the characters in this book and I love a self-made hero. I also really liked that the heroine was also a businesswoman. This is the first book in a series and I am hoping that we get books for Diana's sisters. I liked the romance between the two main characters and I liked the side characters too.

Overall this was a good start to a series and I can't wait to read more from this author.

This is a good start for a new series and it had lot of potential. The characters were lovable but still had flaws they had to work through. The family aspect was probably the best part and the most heartbreaking part

This was interesting and well written, I just struggled to stay hooked! I really wanted to love it, I just didn't love the main characters nor their chemistry, but I can't deny that it was planned and plotted well.

The new historical big-hitter! This book, is well written, full of wonderful characters you really engage with and a story line that grabs you so you can't put the book down! Three young ladies trying to survive in a man's world and boy do they do it with style, grace and elegance. With just the right touch of heat thrown in for good measure. What more could you ask for!

A Duke for Diana is an enjoyable escape into the world of the ‘ton’. Diana and her sisters set up a successful business after being exiled from popular court society. Their business is enlisted by the Duke to help launch his sister into society. He is instantly attracted to Diana and their journey follows in an easy to read story.

It’s been a few years since I’ve read one of Sabrina Jeffries books and this one didn’t disappoint at all.
What I enjoyed the most is the fact that we have a not so ordinary hero and a heroine that is not always in front of the camera so to say. Being a middle sister, she’s definitely the one who has more power in decisions but also a big part of the family.
Their interaction is beautiful and while some scenes were interesting to see how it will evolve, their chemistry made me swoon and want for more in seconds. Which I’ve got and in spades.
Perfect romance book for historical romance lovers.

A thoroughly enjoyable regency romp! This story focuses on the middle of 3 sisters, and a former middle class man elevated to the peerage, and their journey towards each other. The side characters were well introduced, so I am looking forward to reading more in the series; apparently the next one focuses on the eldest sister. It was nice to read a regency novel where there wasn’t a scoundrel after the heroine, and instead had a more interesting hurdle for them to get over. Very enjoyable for when you have a couple hours free. Word of warning however, this story does contain explicit sex scenes so avoid if you’re looking for a clean read

After Geoffrey Brookhouse unexpectedly inherits a dukedom, he hires Diana and her sisters to teach his sister how to conduct herself in society and manage her debut. Of course, despite neither of them having any intentions of marrying, circumstances throw them together. The romance was solid but I would have liked to see more of Diana's sisters and see more of the immediate fallout of the family scandal. Would have loved an appearance from either of Diana's parents but alas it was not to be but hopefully in one of Diana's sisters books.

Speaking of scandals, compared to Diana's family scandal, Geoffrey's seemed a bit boring especially after all the build up.

Overall, A Duke for Diana was a good historical romance and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of A Duke for Diana in return for a fair and honest review. There's a lot to love in this book - strong female characters, an enormous hulking main male love interest, and amazing historical information. I'd like to absolutely tip my hat to Sabrina Jeffries for doing such obvious and amazing research. Most of these books contain things most of us know, the vouchers for Almacks for example, or a bit of text about frothy gowns. This one though went into amazing detail about chalking and exact stitches, and detailed fashion. For example, Jeffries actually went into detail about court fashion, something that isn't often done! or when it is done, isn't done correctly - because they were having to try and balance the new, empire fashion with the court's insistance on a hoop skirt. The romance was very fast though. I would have liked a bit more bickering before they kissed, really let that tension bubble. Her mouth was then described as 'wet' later on, which made me full-body shudder. The smutty scenes were short, which isn't a bad thing always; but it did lead to me having to re-read one because of the vagueness because she was a virgin and surely they didn't just...without no preparation... I'm still not certain, it was written very vaguely. Speaking of virginity though - he lost his at 14 to a full-blown widow. I could have done without that knowledge, made me very uncomfortable. I don't love statutory rape in my romances, and I've never met a 14 year old that wasn't horrifically 14. It's also worth mentioning that this is unfortunately the second historical ARC I've read this month with a sibling who runs to Gretna Green and has to be stopped my the main characters, alone in a carriage - against all rules...so...there's that

Self-made man Geoffrey Brookhouse has unexpectedly inherited the dukedom of Grenwood, but he's hiding a secret that could ruin his family. With the Season approaching, Geoffrey is desperate to find his sister a respectable husband who can protect her if the worst should happen, but he needs help to orchestrate her debut.

Enter Lady Diana Harper, spirited fashion expert, party planner to the ton, and rather more than Geoffrey bargained for. Finding him overwhelmed by the social requirements, she begins transforming him into something he never thought he'd be: a presentable duke.

Diana doesn't know what to make of the dishevelled and bedevilled duke. He's stubborn and completely unaware of his many faux pas, but there's something rather endearing about his reactions to her teasing.

The real question is: can a man who hates the ton ever fall for a woman whose life revolves around it?

I couldn’t put it down! Downright addictive… There was no way I could stop myself as I furiously flicked the pages…

This was a really great romance with strong lead characters and a really interesting storyline. I thoroughly enjoyed the novel. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me access to an early copy of the novel. I hope the series continues for the other characters in the book.

4 stars

Three sisters were badly treated by society when their mother ran off with a soldier and their father then sued for divorce. They decided to start a business preparing debutantes for the marriage mart. They are very successful at this. They take on Rosy and her awkward brother, who is both a duke and a civil enginner. He's avoiding marriage and we don't really know why.

Diana is anoyed and intrigued by Geoffrey and as she's decided not to marry fancies finding passion with the Duke.

I thought it was an OK read. We have a slight romance between Rosy and Diana's cousin and there's potential for further romances with Diana's single sister Verity and her widowed sister.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A Duke for Diana
By Sabrina Jeffries

Geoffrey Brookhouse has just become the Duke of Grenwood unexpectedly. The London Season is approaching and he must find the right people to help his sister prepare for her first season. He approaches Elegant Occasions a company run by the three Harper sisters two of which had been shunned by the ton on their debut season when their mother ran off with another man and was subsequently divorced causing an enormous scandal in society. Follow their journey through the season and the sparks flying between Diana Harper and the Duke.

A fast moving humour steamy read and extremely well written by ms Jeffries 4.5/5

A sexy romp and romance set in Regency times, that grabbed me, because characters were so well drawn. The duke meets his match in Diana, and feels an instant attraction to her, but will he do anything about that attraction? She and her sisters Verity and Eliza run a business arranging all aspects of debuts, including the presentation to the queen, and the intimate meal that follows, and also the ball. All this they do for the duke's sister, since a scandal for which they were not to blame excluded them from taking their place in polite society, although that society does not hesitate to use their services. A very enjoyable read. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for giving me a copy of the book.

Super. Three modern (for the times) sisters make a life on the edges of the Ton when they are shunned by society for their parents separation. They grow an excellent business but love doesn’t seem on the cards for Diana. The growing relationship between her and Geoffrey is treated with humour, good strong characters with feelings that can be understood, and you want them to make it. A great sub plot about Geoffrey’s father and one about his sister add flavour.
