This book was filled with many characters who each had their own struggles to overcome. Since each chapter featured a different character, and was written from their point of view, I felt like I truly could understand their motivations for some of the choices they made…whether they were good choices or not. I loved the time period of this story and the revelations from their past lives that so greatly affected who they were in the present. This is a well-written historical novel, with great character development. It moves at a good pace and keeps you captivated throughout the story. I was given this book by NetGalley and can honestly say this is a book I would have gladly purchased.
