I love this series and this case didn't disappoint. Gripping and compelling from the very start and Lottle is a joy as always.

I was very excited to get the opportunity to review The Guilty Girl as I thought the plot sounded very exciting and I was not disappointed. It was a fantastic read and I can't wait to read more from the author in the future.

This book starts off like an episode of Mean Girls. Lucy is being super mean and nasty to Hannah, the full extent is revealed throughout the book, and you begin to dislike the girl. I didn't want her to die, but I wasn't really sad about it either..... But with Lottie's investigation to start to see another see of the picture, and perhaps you even develop sadness about a young girl's life, and the life she had to live before her death. Really well written, and I'm already busy with book 12 in the series! Highly recommended.

A party to celebrate high school's end
Should be fun, with lots of friends
But this party ends tragically instead,
With the party's teen hostess dead.

This is another intriguing case for DI Lottie Parker who
Has conflicts as her son attended the party, too!
She has personal drama with her love in Spain
And her Mum with confusion and in pain.

Getting the partygoers to be honest about what they saw
Isn't straightforward or simple any more.
Some don't want to talk to the police at all
And others were so drunk (or drugged) they have no recall!

When another partygoer is also found dead,
Other suspicions start a new case thread.
What are the other connections between these two
Will linking them help provide another clue?

A riveting read, a police procedural with many a twist
And different family dramas not to be missed
It is a brilliant addition to a series that's great
For the next one arriving I can never wait!

For my complementary copy, I say thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review

This is a brilliant addition to a series I have grown to love.

Lottie finds herself with a case which comes a bit too close to home for her liking, and without Boyd around to help she finds it a tough one.

Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing a copy.

Another fantastic installment for Lottie Parker.
The subject matter throughout the book could be triggering! Gibney handles it well, with you feeling sorry for characters and contempt for others. I for one can't wait for her next book. Thank you Netgalley for this ARC

I love this series. I love Lottie, her mom, her kids, Boyd, Kirby etc. etc. I am always so excited when a new book comes out.
The Guilty Girl was great. There were a lot of twists and turns which kept me guessing. I will say though, for some reason, this book did not suck me in like past ones have. It took me 3 months to read which is not great given my track record. I have been thinking about it, and I can't put my finger on why that is, but this is the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.
Other than that, the story was complex and had a few different story lines that all merged into each other in the end (sorry, spoiler).
I will definitely be anxiously awaiting book #12!

Patricia Gibney has again delivered a story full of suspense.
This story has you guessing from the beginning on who done it and giving you snippets all the way through until the end.
Love this series.

This was my first Patricia Gibney novel and it was very good. I was worried that I hadn't read the earlier books but I don't think that it detracted from my enjoyment.
There were a lot of characters introduced very quickly which confused me at first but I quickly got used to who was who.
There's always a fear that with so many teenage characters it can feel a bit YA but I didn't find this to be the case.
I'll be adding the earlier books from this series to my TBR

Copy kindly received via NetGalley for an honest review.

This was my first book by this author, on recommendation from someone else. I enjoyed the mystery behind this, although it probably took me more than half of the book before I truly got into it without easily getting distracted. There are many different characters and things happening, and I think it took me a bit to get my head around it all. This might be because I haven't read any previous books in the series, I'm not sure.

The serious issues in this one took a big turn and I wasn't expecting the culprit to be who it ended up being. Many moving parts in this storyline and some emotional sections that just make you realise how disgusting and sick some people truly can be. Whilst it's fiction, it's crime fiction, and these things happen in the real world too unfortunately. I liked Lottie and her bulldog style of detective work, and I definitely would read more from this series.

This book has a great plot. It is action packed , Great characters and lots of twists and turns. This is the 11th book in the series and it can easily be read as a standalone.

Patricia has again delivered a story full of suspense… This is a story that delivers on mystery, having you guessing who it might be, but not fully putting all the pieces together til the end. Love this series.

I find it hard to believe that this is the eleventh book in the series featuring Detective Lottie Parker and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Lottie is called out to investigate when the body of a seventeen year old girl , Lucy, is found. She had been holding a secret party as her parents were away on holiday. When Lottie discovers some of Lucy’s blood stained clothing in her friend’s Hannah’s bedroom she has to question her but finds that Hannah has no recollection what happened that night. When another body is pulled from the canal she realises that this is going to be a complicated case. Things are made even worse for Lottie when she discovers that her son Sean has been lying. She knew he had been at the party but not that he returned later, saw Lucy’s body and fled. Is he a witness or a suspect? Lottie has a love/hate relationship with her mother and feels that she is neglecting her and she is also missing Boyd who is in Spain at the moment bonding with a son he has just learned he had. This is a book that as you read it gets better and better, there is lots of tension as the plot unravels and I found I was totally gripped. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Patricia Gibney never let's me down. This is a detective Lottie Parker story number 6 to be exact and its as fresh as the first book in the series.
Every time I pick up a book by Patricia Gibney I don't surface until I have turned the last page. I always get so involved with her characters. Lottie Parker is created as if she could be someone you know.. the struggles that are portrayed in her family life make her life seem like a normal everyday woman. These type of things make me so invested in her, rooting for her all the way.
The author has a knack of keeping me guessing throughout. The twists and turns had me thinking I knew but alas,, again I was wrong!
Patricia Gibney is one of my go to authors and The Guilty Girl proves why. A highly recommended read.
