My first time reading this author and I hate I didn’t start at the beginning of the series.

Some parts of the book were really refreshing: the fact that the main characters were not 20, a pregnancy where things were easy, and both genders with successful careers.

I really enjoyed the older characters that weren’t in your traditional love story. Likable characters and friends! Easy read too!

Thank you NetGalley for the book in exchange for my honest review.

50 year old Kathleen is about to marry. She and Weston are very much in love and are shocked to learn they are going to have a baby. Both are scared and worried about this late life pregnancy. Together, they must learn to navigate through fear of family, a high-risk pregnancy, troublesome family, friends, and a mischievous ferret to find their new happily ever after. I enjoy stories with older couples. this is a happy story.

Lovely light read. A little too much lovey stuff, not reality, but I did enjoy the storyline.
The friend groups are something that could definitely be from real experiences and that was an enjoyable part of the story.
Would read more in the series.

Before I read this book I had to go back and read the first two novels and that definitely helped me enjoy this story more. Seeing how the four friends reunite for a celebration after many years apart but find out how much each of their strengths continue to help each other defined the power of friendship. I look forward to completely the series with the next book.

I really liked this book it was a fun story. I will say this early on in this book one of the characters had said something and it hit me wrong I was done with the book in my mind but my heart kept saying finish and see how it plays out and I am glad I did. I really like Kat when she makes her mind up about something there is no stopping her. I also loved the closeness of the friendship group, I have not read any of the other books in the series but I am sure they are just as fun because this group of friends does not hold anything back. We all need a group of friends like this in out lives. I was not a huge fan of Wes for most of the book he just came off very annoying and immature however in the end my opinion of him did change. Overall this was a fun read and well worth it.

When Weston Knox met and fell in love with Kathleen Stein, he wanted nothing more than to marry her and travel to exotic islands. Kathleen is a lawyer and even though she loves Weston, she doesn’t know if she can give up her career. When she finds out she is pregnant and knowing neither of them wanted a child, everything fell apart. As Weston arrives early to her place, he finds she is so sick she can’t stand making his fifth proposal out of the question. Watch how their friends help them through their fears that are from their past lives as well as knowing with her being fifty it will be a high risk pregnancy.

A good romance of an older couple that finds out they are going to have a baby. Lots of angst and health issue scares, but strong foundation of love helps. Good story and would recommend.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Kat and Wes. Kat and Wes are attorneys and Wes owns a software company. They have been dating for five years. They each have very bust lives. Kat decides to buy her previous childhood home in Florida. Wes comes down from Florida to visit her. Kat realizes she is pregnant at fifty years old. She tells Wes he is going to be a father. They have lots of decisions to make, their love grows stronger.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and enjoy Ciara Knight’s latest novel “Summer Island Hope”.

Karherine Stein and the Friendsters are back in this touching story about saying yes to life when you already have other plans.

Kat’s boyfriend, Weston Knox, comes along with an agenda of his own. Can two forceful individuals commit to building a life together?

If you have read the first two books (like me) of “A Friendship Beach Novel” series, you will devour this book. But if you haven’t, you will eagerly enjoy this story about family and love.

Jewels, Trace, Wind and Kat show us the true meaning of relying on friends to support you when life takes a detour.

I am going to let our high school English teacher know about this book, so she can let her students know about it in her classes.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advance copy in exchange for my honest review and opinion. This is a series but you can read it as a stand alone book as well. Such a heartwarming read and I was unable to put it down. I can't wait to continue to read more of the series by this author.

A truly lovely story, when Kat and Wes have a spanner thrown into their well planned life they discover that having a baby whilst unexpected can be the best thing for them. They slowly come to terms with how it affects their plans for the future and the reasons why they both thought children wasn’t for them. A well written and emotional read.

This book hits home in today’s world where so many are waiting til later to have babies. It shows the true emotions and worries about what could happen and is very easy to read and a believable storyline. It’s a part of a series of which I’ve read them all and recommend the series as well as the others from this author.

Finding happily ever after is the theme of Summer Island Hope. And, what a beautiful and heartwarming story it is.
Kat and Wes are the main characters. They are in their early 50’s, thinking about marriage with no plans about having children. I have to say, all the characters are well developed and so likeable, you just want to be friends with them.
Definitely a very emotional and touching book that I highly recommend. Would be a great summer/beach read.
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Summer Island Hope specializes in love, care and hope, yet includes just the right amount of confusion. Kat finds herself pregnant at 50. She and long-term boyfriend/potential fiancé had their future planned. A baby was definitely not part of those plans. Unexpectedly pregnant while on the pill is tough, being 50 makes it that much harder. This romance will pull your heart strings as we follow Kat and Wes’ travels through their difficult journey of a late in life surprise. Their worries and troubles seem real and are written in a way to help us understand how this could really happen to a couple.

The Friendster group is back and are a large part of this stand-alone romance. They do their part to encourage, hold each other accountable and support Kat and Wes. Kat’s mother even gets in on the confusion. Explain to your mother that you are unwed and pregnant at 50 – not even!

Summer Island is a fantastic, clean series. Although each is a stand-alone, I have so enjoyed reading them in sequence. Looking forward to more.
