Sweet book! The art is so beautiful and vibrant--also very Ghibli-esque. I love the portrayal of grief and death & the queer relationship.

I loved the color palette in this little graphic novel. The blues and greens were made even more vibrant with the plants that took over almost every panel. The ghost story was a little odd but I really liked the character development that went along with these characters in this story. It's a beautiful LGBTQ+ story that will resonate with the right readers.

Such a cute and cozy graphic novel. I am so happy i read this book. Not all graphic novels wrap up their stories so well, so completely. But Taproot ALSO had an incredibly cathartic ending too. And that's all I ask for. What a sweet book. I can't wait to read more by Keezy Young.

I had this in my ARCs for approximately a thousand years and I kept completely forgetting about it, but I have finally gotten around to read it and it was so charming!
Very cute art, and a theme of life, death, and rebirth that is carried well throughout. The only ting is that I wish the other ghosts had more space - I want to learn more about this haunted found family!
Overall a very cute, fascinating read.

This was an absolutely heartbreaking but heartwarming story at the same time!

The characters were absolutely breathtaking and so loveable I just wanted to be their friends too!

The Artwork is stunning and a Masterpiece within itself put together with an adorable and captivating story.

I love the whole concept of plants, gay relationships, and love with an element of the paranormal and spooky vibes!

I will 100% be buying my physical copy and recommending it to my fellow comic /graphic novel-loving friends!

Taproot by Keezy Young is a beautifully illustrated graphic novel that mixes romance and the paranormal. I have to admit that it's not the kind of book that will stick with you long after you've finished reading it, but it is still a very enjoyable book to read. The artstyle is absolutely beautiful and I really loved it! If you're a fan of graphic novels that blend romance and the supernatural, then Taproot is definitely worth checking out and I highly recommend it if you want something quick to read.

A beautiful queer, heartfelt, heartwarming story that was beautifully written and thoroughly enjoyable from beginning to end. The cozy storyline following the gardening necromancer was such a fun twist and a breath of fresh air to read. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a feel-good story!

Taproot is a graphic book about a gardener, Hamal, who's able to see and communicate with ghosts. Hamal has become best friends with one of the ghosts, Blue, and when they find out their ghost friend is in danger, they are willing to do anything to help him, even if that means letting him go.

This was such a cozy and beautiful story, with amazing illustrations, queer rep and a set of characters that make your heart melt. The relationship between Hamal and Blue was very cute and I truly loved how it was developed. My only complaint is that the story felt a bit rushed, especially toward the end. I would've also loved to know more about the in-between and the reapers (the design of the reaper was fantastic!). But, all in all, this book was such a delight to read and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a quick and wholesome read, filled with fantasy and supernatural elements.

Taproot is a short, but beautiful story about love and loss (with some m/m representation!). First things first, the illustrations in this book were absolutely stunning. The art style and color story really made the story more enjoyable. The characters were well-developed by the end, and I really felt the love between the two characters. While I did enjoy Taproot, it did still feel too short. The end came too quickly, and I wanted to read more about the world and character's relationships. I think the romance was great, but it definitely could've been more developed.
