Adele a former "These Are The Days" soap opera star is offered a star role in a horror movie called "Final Draft" which will be filmed in her home country Ireland. She will be stepping in at the last minute to replace the original actress who has left the project.

When she arrives on the set, Adele feels that something is not right with this production. Imagine being the only female with a skeleton crew of men in this remote location, with no phone signal or transportation.

The shooting does not go as planned, when the screenplay she reads begins to come to life and the horrors of the movie start happening to her, she realises that she may be in danger. But who is behind this rising terror!!

A great thrilling read that kept me hooked throughout.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy in exchange for an honest review.

what a great premise! I was kept guessing the whole way through - loved all the twists and turns and I suspected just about everybody but the culprit! Highly recommend for thriller/horror fans.

I always like Catherine Ryan Howard’s books so it was with no doubt I would request this one and as always she did not let me down!
Her thrillers are always interesting and pacey and have the best twists and turns!
I always like the Irish settings and I loved the difference of this one being a former actress, that was a brilliant idea!
It was so cleverly constructed as a mystery I really enjoyed it!

I love Catherine Ryan Howard, although this genre is probably slightly less my thing than her other books. Nonetheless it is smartly and effectively executed and I really enjoyed it.

Thanks must go to the publisher, Netgalley and Catherine Ryan Howard for the ARC of Run Time. Huge Catherine Ryan Howard fan so was very excited to be accepted for her next tale! It follows a former soap actress Adele, providing last minute cover for the actress on the set of a psych/horror film. Creepy netting, creepier script, a brilliant recipe for horror and thrills.

I really enjoyed The Nothing Man & 56 Days & having been gripped by them, was looking forward to Run Time.
An unusual format, but I found it quite difficult to get into for a while and Adele wasn't a very likeable main character.
I found it to be an interesting read that passed some time, but not as good as I'd hoped it would be and the build up was rather too long and distracting.
My thanks to Netgalley and the Publisher for my eARC in return for my honest review.

Having loved everything I had read by this author previously I was a little nervous to start this one. On paper it didn't sound like something I would be racing through, but new that I liked the authors style so wanted to give it a go and I was blown away! If your a slasher movie fan I think you will like this (there's mild body horror in it at certain points) but mostly I just loved the tension. Its more atmosphere driven than actual plot which again is something I generally avoid but couldn't give this one any less than a 5 star!

Catherine Ryan Howard is now an auto buy author for me. I’ve read three of her books so far and each one has been unique, her structures and plots are always unique and addictive. I always devour them in one day. I don’t watch many horror films but my partner does while I’m in the room and Run Time gave me a serious case of the heebie jeebies, I loved the writing and the twists. Can’t wait for the next one.

For me, every Catherine Ryan Howard book will be measured against the death grip that 'The Nothing Man' had me in. While this didn't quite hold me in the same thrall, I enjoyed her narrative choices her and she kept me hooked to the end. I loved the idea behind this book and she executed it perfectly. Definitely a book I'll recommend to borrowers in the library.

I have read 56 Days by the same author so I was super exited to read her new book and even more excited to get a review copy via NetGalley so I could read it early.
This book follows an actress Adele, as she goes to film a horror film at a remote house in the Irish countryside. However, spooky things that happen to the characters in the film start to happen to Adele in real life. Quite quickly, she realises that she is in real danger.
I found this book a little hard to get into, but once I had read the first 25% I became hooked and finished it within a day. I think the author does a great job at building up suspense and tension. And there were a lot of twists that I didn’t see coming, which is so crucial for a good thriller.

Overall, I really liked this one and rated it 4/5 stars. Would recommend!

This was such a fun. fast-paced and creepy novel and I really enjoyed it. I loved the layers to the story where the movie being made echoed real events which then echoed the movie script, it was clever and it kept me on my toes. I had my suspicions as to what was going on throughout but I could never quite put my finger on the truth so I loved that. This was such a good read for spooky season and I recommend it!

I love Catherine Ryan Howard, she is one of my favourite authors. The writing is addictive and the plots are always so unique. This one was no exception. The whole way through I felt so bad for the main character and at some of the really tense places I couldn't even read before I went to bed. The author thinks of everything from start to finish, how each character will be involved and the setting for the book how it can impact the characters. Right through to the end you don't know who to trust and it remains a mystery. Clever, creative and really enjoyed reading it!

Thank you to Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

An entertaining read, not the best I have read. I also found the ending annoying and unnecessary.

Loved the concept and set up. Book within a book, film within a film, suitably creepy with foreshadowing and set ups. Good read overall

Wow, I really enjoyed "Run Time"! The author plays with your mind in the best possible way, offering a Russian doll-style plot with lots of twists and turns.

I love Catherine's writing and I love all her previous books. I am a huge fan of her work. Unfortunately, I couldn't gel with Run Time. The writing was recognisable as Catherine's. I maybe read it at the wrong time for me.
