I've read the first two books in this series and enjoyed them, but I didn't enjoy this third instalment. I wondered at the choice of the three women whose stories we followed. Pippa I could understand, Autumn perhaps too, but wasn't Natalia a stretch too far, being an old girlfriend of Ned's who didn't even live on the island? There was far too much time spent on being told what each of the three women were thinking, instead of dialogue etc. I found all three women's voices dreary too. It was like a monologue and went on for far too long. I also think the author is messing around with both Ned and Jemima character's. They seemed like shadows, and often quite ridiculous, popping up here and there, lots of silent pauses, giving each other looks etc. Jemima seemed to have lost her confidence and character which we saw in the first book of the series. And Ned acted really shabbily towards Natalia, so instead of him being the romantic hero of the first book, I started to dislike him. If there are any more instalments planned, I won't be reading them as I think this third book was a stretch too far. With thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I love this book. I have read the others in the series but I think this is my favourite so far.
I don't want to give spoilers but I'm so happy about the ending and how rolly played a part in a special delivery.
I'm glad Natalie gets her mojo back after what happened.
Can't wait for the Christmas one

Shetland is on my bucket list to visit so I jumped on the chance to read this and immerse myself in the place. Unfortunately, this book just didn’t work for me. The three women were not hugely rounded as characters and there was too much telling me what they were thinking and doing rather than showing me with dialogue. It meant that I skim read a lot. I knew there were other books by this author based on Shetland and I think Pippa’s story would have been much easier to read if I had read the earlier books. All three characters were mostly annoying, self centered and hard to like and care about. They just kept ruminating over the same thing throughout with no real moves forward. There were too many other characters that didn’t get enough page space so when they got mentioned further into the book I wasn’t sure who they were exactly.
The few descriptions of Shetland were nicely presented but at the end of the book I didn’t really have any better knowledge or inner visuals on the place.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.

Lovely to be back on Shetland catching up with the characters again, with the addition of some new ones.
A really enjoyable read

Just a wonderful lovely sweet book. I wasn’t aware there were others in the series but it was such an easy relaxing read. Much different from my normal genre. Loved the surrounding countryside and the whole feel was just brilliant.

Another really lovely addition to the from Shetland to love book series. Erin Green really knows how to write a really lovely, uplifting, happy, feel good, rom com book. If you haven't read this series yet, I highly recommend it.

In this book we meet Pippa who feels like odd one out in her family. Someone I very much felt that I could relate to. Pippa has a wonderful bakery van that she drives around the gorgeous Shetland villages delivering tasty treats to the residents. While also giving herself a wonderful sense of freedom and purpose. But Pippa really wants somewhere she really belongs that is just for her.

Next we have Natalia who has had enough of her old life and has recently returned to Lerwick in the hopes of reconnecting with her old flame, that she hasn't stopped thinking about. But when she returns she finds out that her love has actually moved on. Natalia is filled with loss, rejection, and her whole world is turned upside down. What is she going to do now?

Then there is Autumn. Who absolutely loves her job in hospitality as the new manager as Lerwick Manor. Anything the guest wants they get and absolutely no request is too big or too small. But putting everyone else'a wants and needs first who is going to think about what Autumn needs and wants.

As these three women are brought together. Their friendship, support and healing are what their all desperately need in each others lives and these are the things that will help to make the changes that they all desperately need.

This is a lovely book, about female friendship, love and finding who you are and finding your own happiness.

Heartwarming, uplifting and utterly sweet, this book certainly lives up to its sunny name.

All the characters were brilliant and I loved the split perspectives throughout the book allowing us to catch up with each character as they navigate their own lives and dramas. From the much aligned Pippa who just wants to shed her old reputation and show the world who she really is, to autumn struggling to maintain a work-life balance before she reaches her edge, to Natalia who swans back to the hotel in hopes of winning back Neds heart and encounters events she couldn’t possible foresee…

All of the stories and plots for each were brilliant and so entertaining. I couldn’t believe how quickly they chapters flew by.

I’d never encountered anything by this author before and this was my first read of the books in this series, despite this being number three. I didn’t feel too much at a disadvantage at all and this could certainly be a standalone for those (like me) who hasn’t read the previous. I was quickly brought up to speed and it was effortless to read and get into. Really enjoyable!

When I requested this book, I didn't realise that it was the third in a series, and I was worried that I wouldn't enjoy it because the history of the characters was missing for me. However, my fears were unfounded as this is a great book, with a good storyline, and I loved all the characters involved. The setting also sounds idyllic.
The book covers many topics, including health issues & self confidence, but mostly it is a feel good story of friendship & love.
I will certainly look out for the first two books in the series!
Many thanks for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

It was lovely be back in Shetland, catching up with the characters, and to read about the lives of a few of them, like Autumn, Natalia and Pippa, what being in Shetland means to them, helping them in changing their lives.

The book was about friendship and love. There was also health conditions covered sensitively that you could relate to.

It was heartwarming to read, showed how it’s better to understand others before you act on first impressions, as well as a sense of community spirit in Shetland.

I would recommend this series.

What a brilliant read, not that I expected anything less, I’ve loved this series so far. It was great to be back in the Shetlands again and catching up with everyone. I am so happy that Levi finally got his happy ending. This man has been a staple since book one and I really wanted someone to notice his big heart and love him. Pippa is a great choice for him, I loved how he stood by her and saw the real her, even when she struggled to see herself at times.
The themes in this book were very real and identifiable to lots of people on many different levels. Learning to love yourself, sounds so simple but it can be the hardest thing to do. Seeing these characters grow and change gave me a warm glow and some hope; it’s ok to not be ok, but it’s important to recognise it, talk about it and then move forwards. Natalia and Autumn are wonderful examples of self awareness and self care.
Simply brilliant from start to finish and I really hope we get to visit again.

*I received a copy of this book on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for this opportunity*

The third book in the Shetland series by Erin Green, SUNNY STAYS AT THE SHETLAND HOTEL follows three characters as they settle into a season of growth at the Shetland Hotel. While not necessary, I would recommend reading the first two books in this series to fully appreciate this latest installment-- as a new reader, it was obvious I was missing some of the references to past plots, but it wasn't necessary for understanding the novel as a whole.

The three women, Pippa, Natalia, and Autumn, do mix and mingle-- but most of their stories take place separately. Pippa, used to being painted as a quitter and the youngest in her family, struggles to prove herself competent and kind to her community while finding love along the way. Natalia is a hand/makeup model returning to try and revive an old flame, but after a medical emergency she has to reflect on what she truly wants out of life and who she can rely on for support. And Autumn, the new hotel manager with OCD tendencies, strives to find a more sustainable work/life balance in her new surroundings.

This book would be a great choice for someone looking for a sweet, simple read or fans of Green's past work.
