As a massive fan of the hedgehog hollow series I was super excited to read this one which is book five in the series but could also be read as a standalone. Although I highly recommend reading the full series for the full experience of being drawn into the world of hedgehog hollow and all its inhabitants.

I read this book in one weekend as I couldn’t put it down and was a delight to read.

I loved that this chapter of the story delved more into Lauren’s back story and also that it featured places from my home town. It also introduces a new character into the story Riley who I can’t wait to find out more about.

There were also a lot of other sensitive issues which unfolded as the story developed and the author covered these with extreme sensitivity and foresight and brought topics out into the open which often people find hard to talk about.

I am so excited for book 6 now although I don’t want this series to end

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review.

This is the penultimate book in the Hedgehog Hollow series, which if I'm honest I'm a bit gutted about! This time we hear Lauren's story although there are other things going on through the book. I think this might well be my favourite of the HH books and I'm looking forward to reading the conclusion of the series already.

Just great to have another book from hedgehog hollow. Couldn't put it down as always with a Jessica Redland book. Thank you netgalley for the advanced copy

It was so good to be back in Hedgehog Hollow once again. The books begins at Josh and Sammie's wedding and we hear what some of the other guests get up to during the celebrations.
The main story of the book is about Lauren, her past and her present. I was fully immersed in the story of the highs and lows of her life . The introduction of Riley was very welcome as he fitted right in.
We did get to be with Josh and Sammie on their African honeymoon which was as wonderful as it sounds.
We caught up with all the characters we know and love from previous books and it was great to know a bit more about each of them. I don't want to give too much of the plot of the story as it's far better to be surprised at each thing that happens.
Jessica Redland is a wonderful story teller and her books just keep getting better.
I think the next book in the series is the final one and no doubt most of us will go back to book 1 and read them all over again.

Another brilliant book by Jessica Redland featuring Hedgehog Hollow. The book starts with an overlapping timeline from the end chapters of the previous book. I like this concept as it gives a different viewpoint on a situation.

We meet all the characters from previous books in the series, plus some new ones.. The story focuses mainly on Lauren, Josh's aunty.

Lauren has been married twice before and both marriages ended in divorced. She has never been able to get over her first divorce.

With changes happening in her workplace and then an unexpected contact from her first husband, Lauren is faced with some difficult decisions and facing her past.

Already looking forward to reading the next book.
This book was written with sensitivity and breathtaking honesty and I felt the portrayal
Of Sasha was done really well.
It was lovely to ready about Lauren and read her backstory.
Really glad to have witnessed the wedding of Josh and Sammie.
I’m hoping the next book focuses on Fizz and Phoebe and their love. It would be great to catch up on Riley and Lauren too.
This book was great a real Sunday treat whilst the thunder and lightening came down around us.

Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

Great book. I thought the tales of Hedgehog Hollow were done with the last book but clearly not as this one was very entertaining. All the usual characters were there but this one focused on different people. I believe this is the penultimate book of the series so looking forward to reading the last one.

It's really good to be back at Hedgehog Hollow and this is another great book in the series, and as the penultimate book, it has set up enough storyline threads, that makes me incredibly eager to read book 6, as I think it has been set up to phenomenal.

Although this is a Hedgehog Hollow novel, Samantha isn't really the main character at all this time around, Lauren who I don't really recall much about from previous books is.

We still get some chapters from Sammie's point of view, but the balance is weighted in favour of Lauren. Which is a shame, as although we get to see some of the Safari honeymoon, I was craving more of their time in Africa, given my love of any exotic setting.

Meanwhile we learn all about Lauren's first two marriages which couldn't be more different, and the first half of the book which felt rather sedate, but was all about laying the ground work, well the second half was utterly fabulous, and hooked me in properly.

I was definitely interested in Lauren's backstory, as well as her fledgling friendship with Riley. I was also happy to see yet another side of Chloe, and to see that more progress was being made with Sammie and her mum's relationship too.

Various tough topics are touched on, with Jessica Redlands's trademark sensitivity.

Whether you are new to the series, or returning and need a reminder there is a massive cast list at the start of the book to help re-immerse yourself into the various characters and their, often complicated links to each other!

This is a solid instalment in the series, not my new favourite, but has certainly whetted my whistle to see how the series will end in the Christmas book -which I can't wait to get my paws on.

Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

I have loved this series (I've even come to tolerate Chloe) and this book was a great addition. I had intended to read just a few chapters but I could not put it down! It continued to move Sam and Josh's story and a Lauren got her chance to find her own special someone. We also got to check-in on all the other characters from previous books. It was really interesting learning more about Lauren's past and first love. I will say that I guessed at Simon's big secret with that last email he sent before Lauren went to see him. I was a little upset that Lauren had to be so forgiving (she's pretty much Sam in that respect) because although what Simon was going through at the time was beyond difficult he still treated her horribly. I hated the "it was what he thought was best for her" because it was really about what was best for him at the time. He was afraid when he told Lauren his truth that she would reject him so he cut her out and left her with no closure for decades. I was glad the truth came out though so that Lauren could feel free to pursue something with Riley. I think my favorite part about all of these stories is that they offer hope that things don't have to stay terrible and can get better if you keep your mind open to new opportunities. I'm really hoping the next book of the series gives Phoebe her happy ever after.

I was not sure about another hedgehog book but wow wow wow. Jessica Redlands has done it again. The story had all our favourite characters and we learnt about new things . The wedding and honeymoon did not distract . The twist was amazing . You have to read it. Can’t wait for the Christmas one.

This was my most favourite book of the series! If you haven’t read this series then you absolutely should. What a fantastic summer read, great for relaxing in the garden or round the pool.

It continues Sam and Josh’s story with a focus on some other characters too. I loved Lauren’s story and found myself crying at the tender writing of Jessica’s. She weaves in the stories with utmost sensitivity towards each one and you find yourself bitterly heartbroken in one breath and gloriously happy in another.

I am so glad I found this series. I have loved every minute of my time with these characters.

She's done it again! Another brilliant installment at Hedgehog Hollow which I raced through in under a day.

This time we see Samantha & Josh go on honeymoon and find out lots more about Lauren and her backstory. We also see many more familiar characters from previous books pop in too!

It's the penultimate book in the series and whilst I'm gutted there's only one left, I'm also excited that we'll return to Hedgehog Hollow later in the year for one final time.

Another fun read about the people at Hedgehog Hollow. This one takes place a good deal away from the rescue, and fills us in on Laurie's story. I enjoyed this one and look forward to the conclusion. Definitely one to read in order.

What can I say other than another fantastic visit to Hedgehog hollow. As Sam and Josh enjoy a holiday of a lifetime seeing a whole host of animals but the African hedgehogs held a special place. This book is about Sam’s Aunty Lauren and gives us an in site to both her past and present. How her past reappears to offer a whole host of answers but even more questions as to why?
More friendships are being made and it’s lovely how Terry and Wilbur enjoy there visits, a cuppa and to reminisce about his lost love Gwendolyn. Even though her heart was for Thomas, Terry loved her everyday she was alive and still does. As usual Hedgehog hollows doors are open all the time welcoming lots of hogs but this time a baby fox cub called Tod who unknowingly opens a whole new adventure.
Cannot wait for the next final book, fantastic Jessica as always x
