Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me this eARC to review.

I didn't like the main character of this manga with how over the top he was and I hate how he pretty much thinks he is the best of the best. The other characters, other than one lady I liked, were annoying as well to me. Everything was too over the top and predictable and I think it would have been much better if it was slower paced, better world building and less shouting. It definitely feels inspired by Tokyo Revengers and perhaps the character will calm down more in further manga but he was too intense for me.

I got into the manga due to the cover (it kinda reminded me of Blue Lock tbh) and overall, it was not a bad read. I'm looking forward to read the second volume and go into more of the world. Sakura is definitely an interesting character and I feel that a found family will form at the end of the series with his new friends I feel.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha USA for a free advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

This manga's premise drew me in, but it didn't quite follow through. Although the action was enjoyable, the characters who drove it were not as developed as I would have hoped. I found it a little difficult to fully immerse myself in the story. There were definitely parts I enjoyed, so would like to continue WIND BREAKER, and I'll hope that characters and their motivations are explored more in the next volume.

I received an eARC of this title through NetGalley in return for an honest review.

This manga honestly has the potential to be an anime series. The characters are interesting and have quirks that remind me of Fullmetal Alchemist. The main character, Sakura, wants to go to this town to become the strongest, however, his expectations are to be treated like a punk kid, not a town hero. It honestly is sweet how he expects people to treat him so poorly only to always be pleasantly surprised.

The artwork is well done. Every character looks unique and drawn consistently. The world built in this manga is super interesting as well. It all revolves around one town and essentially their gang is a school whose sole purpose is to have "delinquent" students protect the towns folk. It has a cute small town vibe to it where everyone exchanges items for services rendered such as saving a town's person or helping around a shop.

Honestly, a great start to a series. It's got action, comedy, and heart all rolled in to one. I would be interested in what happens next!

Haruka Sakura enrolls in a high school known for fighting. The students there are known for their strength. Sakura only has one goal: to rise to the top. However, the school is nothing like he imagined. The students there work together to use their strength to defend their town. The townspeople love them and think of them as protectors. None of this interests Sakura though—he's used to being alone.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one! It was a unique take on the "strong shonen protagonist" trope. It was actually a pretty wholesome read for a book about fighting!

Sakura wants to be a lone wolf and is flustered by the positive attention he receives in town. I can't wait to see his character development! I sense found family vibes and I hope I'm right about that!

I haven't read/watched Tokyo Revengers, but this book seemed similar to that series based on what I know about it. There are already some rivalries forming and I'm looking forward to meeting some of the other characters that haven't been introduced yet!

This was an entertaining and interesting read! I will definitely be continuing this series! I'm looking forward to future volumes! I highly recommend this one!

Content: violence, some swearing

This first volume wasn't as exciting as i'd hope for. It was pretty formulaic and ridiculous and the characters weren't charismatic enough to make up for it. I am interested in the overall story, ridiculous as it is it's also fun and entertaining. The artwork was nice.

Overall, I enjoyed it and will give the next volume a try as I do like the story.

I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for sending me an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved this first volume! The art work is great and we got introduced to a bunch of characters and got some information on all the different kings. It's fact paced so it keeps you interested. I will definitely be reading more of this series.

This manga was very mediocre, what you see is what you get. Then to add on to it, the sheer amount of exposition is overwhelming and dreadfully dull.
Dreadfully dull, is what this entire manga is. At no point did I feel like I wasn't slogging through the 200 pages of this manga.

Thank you to netgalley and to the author for allowing me to read and review this eARC of this book.

I want to say from the start that I absolutely adored this manga and series, I will definitely be reading more of this series. The artwork was beautiful and I loved the progression of the main character in the manga, and I cannot wait to see how he progresses in future episodes in this series. I liked the way the main character is progressing from a traumatised background but is still hopeful to others even if the females at this point currently I have not seen as a fighter like the other males but there was foreshadowing for this which is why I am looking forward to this. I liked the sense of community in this book and also the pacing with drawing in more characters.

This was a great first volume! We got introduced to a bunch of characters and got some info on all the different kings. We got a little run in with a team right at the end so I'm curious where that's going to go. Overall, a good start and I will definitely be checking out the next one in the series!

Another manga where a fight resolves everything! That's excellent you guys!
The art it's great, tho
So I would continue reading it but, for starters this is quite nice and good and extremely violent
Tokyo Revengers can relate

So this manga series is pretty typical-- A guy who likes to fight is accepted into a school known for having gangs and fighting, only to find out that the school has taken an oath to only fight to protect the town. The main character has a history of being bullied for his hair and eye color being split (for no supernatural reason), and because of this treatment, he's cautious of opening up to people. He's basically a tsundere. "It's not like I'm your friend or anything! B-baka! >w<" The plot isn't bad per say, but it all feels so typical and formulaic that I couldn't take it very seriously. The characters are lacking a natural charm to them, and I lost interest pretty quick.
All that being said, the art is fantastic and the fight scenes are cool.

Thank you to netgalley and kodansha comics for the e arc!

I was actually so pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this manga. I loved the main character Sakura who turned out to be a big cinnamon roll. I really enjoy the art style as well! But keep in mind this is a Shonen manga so it might not be for you.

Wow! I'm so happy this got translated into English this is a fun series and I can't wait to read the rest. At first, the main character seems selfish but grows quickly as he meets more people at his new school (the one known for how fierce the students are at fighting). The whole cast of this is delightful and fun. Despite it being centered on fighting this is a really uplifting story about helping others and growing as a person (and fighter). You should give Wind Breaker a read if you like Tokyo Revengers, especially the school gang parts.

*NetGalley gave me an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Haruka Sakura just started Furin High School which is known for its brawling strength. Haruka doesn't want to be a hero he just wants to fight his way to the top.

The book gives me Food War vibes without all the fan service. One kid wants to be the best, but has to beat others to get there. The art is really cute and the story has a lot of fast paced action to draw you in. I think it will be a big hit with my students.

Sakura arrives in Furin with the goal of being the Top of the high school. His first day on town he saves Tachibana and soon realizes that the high school and town is not what he expected. Sakura is used to people pushing him away and being scared of him due to his appearance but in Furin they act different. The first day of school he learns more of what Furin High School does for the town.

I ended up really enjoying this series so far and will be continuing it. I like the art, characters introduced, and plot so far. Although Sakura tries to be tough there are moments where he gets embarrassed easily (for example, with a hand shake). I am curious about a couple things like why they can't say that Tachibana was caught up in the fight though.
