This book promises to be a practical guide to crafting an effective marketing plan—but unfortunately, it falls far short. Instead of clear, actionable advice, readers are met with vague generalities, outdated concepts, and little real-world application.
The structure is disorganized, jumping between topics without a logical flow, and key components—like audience analysis, budgeting, or digital strategy—are either glossed over or missing entirely. In a field that demands relevance and up-to-date examples, this book reads like a dusty lecture from the early 2000s.
Worse still, the writing is dry and repetitive. There’s minimal engagement with actual marketing tools or case studies, and many chapters simply restate the same basic idea in slightly different words. If you're looking for a step-by-step, modern guide to building a marketing plan, this book will likely leave you confused and frustrated.
Save your time—and your budget—for something more insightful.
P.S: I work as a marketeer so I know this business very well.

A comprehensive guide to getting started with marketing suitable for any beginner or small business owner. The concepts are broken down and easy to understand with practical steps to follow along with.

As an indie author, the concepts broken down in this book are helpful as a text to plan and execute a marketing plan from the smallest projects and products to an overall business. I will definitely return to this book to ensure I implement the best plan for my business.
Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Full of actionable advice for anyone looking for the information organized for easy consumption. An easy way to get started writing a plan.

It was an interesting read that helped me to understand better how to create a marketing plan and all the lingo used. Is good for beginners like me!

This is a very informative book on creating a marketing plan. As someone intrested in creating their own business but knowing nothing about the marketing part I found this very helpful.
