The Blood Traitor is probably one of my most highly anticipated reads of the year and good Lord, this book did not disappoint! My heart's been hurting knowing the desperate state that Kiva was left in at the end of the Gilded cage and I've been on tenterhooks worrying about how she was going to cope!

Straightaway, we're plunged back into the savage Zalindov prison, where things have never been worse for Kiva. The action and the twists just keep coming, I was congratulating myself for working out one twist only to be slapped in the face with the rest of those twists that I never saw coming!

Kiva grows so much during the course of this novel. She wants to help her new found friends and make amends for her past betrayals. There are new quests to go on, more heartbreak and adventure for Kiva. I love Jaren! He's such a refreshing romantic lead; not snarky or cruel in the slightest.

The Blood Traitor was an exhilarating and perfect way to finish this amazing trilogy. I already miss the characters and plan on a reread soon! I really recommend the Prison Healer series. Thank you so much to Hodder and Stoughton and Netgalley for providing me with an ARC in return for a review of this brilliant book.

The Blood Traitor by Lynette Noni is the final book in The Prison Healer Trilogy and picks up straight after the cliffhanger events in The Gilded Cage. I read The Prison Healer back in January and loved it but held off reading the second book until the third was closer to release. I was lucky enough to have my request approved on @netgalley last week and so read the second and third back to back!

After the ending of TGC, I’m glad I didn't have to wait long to start The Blood Traitor. With Jaren now all too aware of Kiva’s real identity and his magic now gone he sets off with Cal to reunite with his remaining friends and family to concoct a plan to reclaim Vallentia and defeat Zuleeka. Kiva meanwhile has been returned to Zalindov and must now battle her forced addiction to angeldust whilst trying to survive in the prison she fled from all whilst plotting her escape. There is more revealed about the other kingdoms and some of the sub-characters backstories are explored further which was so exciting!

Caldon and Cresta are easily my favourite characters in this book and their development has so much potential for spin-off books! The slow burn in this book is intense with Jaren and Kiva having betrayed the other's trust their conflicting feelings of loathing and longing is painful to read. This book covers so many of the different characters story arcs and answers so many questions from the previous books that fans of the series will not be left disappointed!

This was easily one of my favourite books of the year and as it was one of my most anticipated releases this year I’m so grateful I got to read this early.

Loved this trilogy. True I seem some of the twists coming but I overall enjoyed all 3 of the books. The 1st book took me a while to get into but the wile story I just loved. The characters relationships and the world building was fantastic. I feel some thing could have been more drawn out but it did not detract from the story. Thoroughly enjoyed and was so glad to get this arc! Well deserved 5 out of 5!

I was scared starting this book. Scared two-fold, because of where the second book ended, and because I love the series so much. Thankfully, I was wrong to be scared, because The Blood Traitor is everything I could have wanted in a conclusion to the Prison Healer series.

I laughed. I cried. I screamed.
The characters were, as always, fully fledged and complex. The places briefly seen seem beautiful and intriguing - I could honestly read a book set in any of the cities mentioned in this novel. The story was fast paced and, while events did seem slightly rushed at points, not having enough time is one of the issues they are contending with, so it fits well into the narrative.

I have adored spending time with Kiva and Jaren (and Tipp, Naari, Caldon, Ashlyn, Cresta… need I go on?), and while I am sad that this marks the end of the Prison Healer, I am delighted to have gotten such a fantastic ending to the series.

These books were published through the pandemic, every one, and they have been something for many of us to look forward to at a time when so much has seemed uncertain. A well deserved 5 stars.

This book and the rest of the series has my heart.

The writing is addictive and entrancing, and the world building is beautiful. I got so attached to these characters and this book really made me feel for them and understand their journeys.

While it’s the third in the series, the whole new branch of plot it discovered was amazing. Sometimes books like these can be predictable but this one still had me shocked at every turn.

What a great way to finish such a beautiful series. It’s my favourite book of the year so far and my favourite series as a whole. Highly highly recommend.

The Blood Traitor is an absolutely incredible conclusion to The Prison Healer trilogy! The Prison Healer series is one of my favourites and I was nervous to see where the story went but it was done so perfectly.

The pacing was great, it didn't feel slow or dragged anywhere. I constantly wanted to know what was going to happen next and was hoping everyone was going to be alright. Some of the scenes were so tense, this book is an emotional rollercoaster!

Tipp is still one of my favourite characters but Cresta also took me by surprise - I found all the characters likeable for different reasons, it's rare that I love every character in a book but this little group is just the best.

The twists and turns were so good, I didn't see them coming at all! There's so much action going on but it was easy to follow and I really liked the direction it went, there's definitely a lot of drama in this book - Lynette Noni doesn't shy away from putting her characters through the worst scenarios!

I'm so happy with the way this trilogy ended, I highly recommend reading it if you haven't already. I'd also love to see a spin-off series set in the same world, there are so many possibilities!

A great conclusion to the trilogy. Fast paced and nuanced with twists and betrayals, and some brilliant moments of friendship. Thoroughly enjoyed.

I’m gutted that this is the end but it was ended beautifully and Lynette did an amazing job writing this book. This has been one of my most anticipated reads of 2022 and it did not disappoint!!

At times I wanted to smash Kiva and Jarens heads together and other times I wanted Jaren to make her suffer even more. The twists in this story are unmatched and just when you think you’ve got it figured out something happens and you’re left astounded once more.

I love the world Lynette has built here and this trilogy is definitely one I will be recommending for a long time to come. Thank you for writing this and releasing during a time where we all needed an escape from our own prisons!!

If there's one thing that Blood Traitor has cemented in my mind, is that Lynette Noni is a master storyteller.

This book was the absolute perfect conclusion to the trilogy that we've all grown to love to much!

I was sooo glad when I realised The Blood Traitor picks off right where book 2 ends (honestly as it should after that cliffhanger!) 😂

It's always bittersweet reaching the end of a series, but Lynette Noni does such a great job with this finale! 😭❤️

It really is an action packed read from the very beginning!
The blood traitor is an emotional roller-coaster that will pull at your heartstrings in the very best way! (no but seriously prepare yourself 😂)

It's so hard keeping this spoiler free, but I really hope you all love this one as much as I did!!

A fantastic conclusion to one of my all time favourite fantasy series!

Nothing could have prepared me for how amazing this book was. After the way book two ended with Kiva ending up in Zalindov again, I was so scared to find out what would happen to her in this book. Kiva goes through a lot of bad things in this book but she handles them with the determination and strength that make her such an incredible heroine.

There were lots of new faces in this book but also a few old ones. Cresta plays a very important part and I was shocked when she quickly became one of my favourite characters. Jaren, whilst hurt from Kiva's betrayal, is still very much in love with her and I loved how their relationship eventually blosomed once again.

The Blood Traitor is definitely my favourite book by Lynette Noni. I loved the high stakes quest, the dynamics between the characters and the plot twists that never failed to surprise me. I'm so sad that this series is over and I will definitely be rereading it over and over again in the years to come.

Thank you to NetGalley and Hodder & Stoughton for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Blood Traitor is the final book in The Prison Healer trilogy and was perfect. I love these characters so much, the growth of Kiva throughout this book and the whole series is incredible. It's not just her though, all the characters have their ups and downs, the relationships are complicated and there are some new characters we meet for the first time that have become new favourites!

The writing is also incredible, the way the story flows and the plot twists!! I couldn't put it down! We see more of the other kingdoms, and they are described so vividly, the world building continued to be perfect! I've used the word perfect a lot but this while series genuinely is perfect. Each one of the books I read in a couple days and was immediately desperate for the next. I felt all the emotions and cried at so many moments, if you haven't picked this one up yet, you definitely should!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was so excited to be approved for this ARC, I have loved this trilogy from the very first book. The characters continuously developed, along with their relationships with each other, but it's also very plot driven, which I loved.

At times I wanted to bang Jarden's and Kiva's heads together and give them both a shake to knock some sense into them. I'll admit I cried many times, as I have in the previous two books 😂.

The plot twists, the scheming, the betrayal were all brilliant and I finished this book in about 7 hours. I'd give more stars if I could.

And yes, whilst I adored this book, I am sad that this trilogy is now complete and finished but The Prison Healer Trilogy has definitely been added to my comfort reads list because I know for sure that I'll be reading these again and again.

Huge thank you to @Lynettenoni, @netgalley and @hodderbooks for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I just DEVOURED this masterpiece of a book in one sitting and my head is still reeling over how epic it was! Honestly I did not think I could fall in love with these characters and this world more but Noni has just battered me with her torturous and marvellous book (am I gushing too much lol).

I'm going to save my full detailed review for my blog after publication, so I'll keep this one to the point. The quest, the betrayals, the longing gazes and the words unsaid - everything about this plot was designed to rip my heart to shreds and heal it whole again with Kiva's power. My only complaint is that this series is now over, however shall I go on (flops dramatically on the floor)

Needless to say, this trilogy is brilliant and everyone should read it ASAP!

Thank you so much to the publisher for an early access copy for an honest review!

Is this the best book of 2022?

YES! The answer is most definitely yes!

This book picks up directly after the events of the gilded cage and is an absolutely wild ride from start to finish.

I loved the emotional journey all the characters go on and the levels of anxiety I had during certain scenes had me glued to my iPad for the whole experience.

This is by far my favourite book that Lynette Noni has published!

5 FUCKING STARS!!!!!
