This had a pretty good starting but it was hard for me to read in the third person and have so many switches between perspectives.

What In The Cherry Chocolate Trifle! 😳😯🥺🤧🤧

This is a strong, utterly moving & deeply heart-felt story that makes you think & feel so deeply about a thought-provoking topic. It will cause you to smile, cry, break your heart, give hope, solace and ultimately warm your heart. I loved, loved, loved this plot and how beautifully Downing knitted it together.

Mყ 𝐒ყɴ𝐨ρѕιѕ: Eve has been brought into an ER after a near fatal accident and she's watched the doctors work on her and save her life. But Eve is in a coma. Her spirit struggles during this time watching and seeing all the interactions from her family and boyfriend, Nathan, without them being able to see, hear or feel her. She meets another spirit, Luca, to help her with using her new abilities to give comfort to others. As Eve tries desperately to reunite with her body, she'll wonder if it's even worth it.

Because of my faith in God, this book truly resonated with me far deeper than I could imagine and I'd like to believe and hope there's some truth to this, as it gives comfort. My own personal experience of a close family member who had been in a coma years ago, this gives me such solace to know that maybe it was the same for them of knowing and hearing me. I adored this novel so much - just be prepared with the tissues!

Thank you to NetGalley & Quilla Books (IBPA) for this ARC!

A contemporary tale of tragedy, selflessness, love, and renewal. Best read with a great big box of tissues… a wonderful tale that is hard to forget... it will leave readers with severely bruised heartstrings… outstanding.

I let you fall was a truly unique and intriguing read. although the beginning was a bit confusing and I do believe some of the chapters could have been reordered a bit differently to help the plot flow more seamlessly but by about 40- 45% everything began to all tie together and I found myself unable to stop turning the page to see how the story would unfold. I don't usually pick up paranormal books but I let you fall has me reconsidering and eager to read more in this genre with its concept of where we go after life and/or when people are in a permanent or temporary vegetative state and déjà vu.

This emotionally charged and touching novel follows a young woman as she lays in comatose in a historical bed while at the same time, is stuck in the in-between. There she meets, Luca, another comatose patient in the hospital. Together they tackle the hard questions...Why did this happen? What Could they have done differently? What can they do now?
.
While the plot itself was a little mild, the ending was, in my opinion, perfect. I loved it. It felt like a romance movie where things perfectly loop around and you just know things are going to be okay. A unique, fast read, perfect to snag on a rainy day this summer when you want something with a *little* heavier topic!

BLURB:
On a summer night in London, art teacher Eve Chapman finds herself in a hospital emergency room. She watches surgeons desperately operate on a young woman with a terrible head injury. But when the bandages are removed, Eve is horrified to find her own body on the operating table.

Trapped in a coma, Eve struggles to cope with the fact that no matter how hard she tries, her family and friends cannot see or hear her. But then she meets Luca Diaz, a handsome and comatose lawyer who can see her. He takes Eve under his wing and teaches her how to use her new abilities to help the living.

As the weeks pass, Eve struggles to find a way back to her body and to Nathan, the man she loves. But the more time she spends with Luca, the more she wonders if her old life is worth going back to at all.

I must admit that I was a bit confused at times while reading this book.
I enjoyed the two timelines as in the live stories told by the characters and how they feel and what goes through their mind at all times. There are quite a few scenes that broke my heart but it’s beautiful written and it made it all more interesting.
As for the overall story line , I can’t say much because I couldn’t find any conflict that hasn’t been solved or that took too much to be solved better said. Nothing unpredictable though.

Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy

This is a short and sweet book with not much to offer. It lacked depth all round and was rather pointless in my opinion.

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest review --
A girl jumps in front of a motorbike to save the children and ends up in a coma. Nathan, her boyfriend can't take it and finds someone else.
In her coma state she meets Luca who teaches her how to help people.
Will she ever revive? What will her life be like?

This book was well written with beautiful and evocativeprose, a compelling storyline and well developed characters. It was such a powerful read that was way more emotive than I thought it would be. I loved it.

This is a story about the intermingling fate of an art teacher and a lawyer, who meet under interesting circumstances. They work to figure out why they are in this situation and what it all means. An unbreakable bond is formed between the two and we are taken on the ride with them.
We get to read from two perspectives of the MC and I think that is a unique feature of this book. I liked how the author develops the two romantic relationships experienced by the MC-the decline of one and the building up of another.
However, I would have loved to see more done with the plot as there was barely a conflict. Nevertheless, I did like the intertwining of stories and the outcome.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

I just finished reading this beautiful book and I cannot be more grateful to have discovered NetGalley last week. This book tells the story of an art teacher, Eve, who one day found herself in the ER witnessing a patient’s surgical procedure not knowing that she was actually the woman in the coma. She then finds out that she’s not alone in this. Luca is another lost soul in that hospital and he is determined to help her see things differently. What happened? How did it happened and why? All these questions are later answered throughout the chapters.

What I really loved about this story is the humanity and the compassion held by Eve and Luca and how they give us an objective insight into hope and despair. We are now the third party, watching from afar and acknowledging other people’s pain and joy. This book helped me appreciate everything I now have.

If you are a fan of “Just like Heaven”, and looking for an easy light read, this book is for you. It has given me the exact same vibes.

Thank you NetGalley and the sweet author for giving me the opportunity to experience this beautiful story.

This is a poignant story about an art teacher, Eve, who finds herself in the ER. She’s in a coma but doesn’t realize it and wonders why others can’t hear her. She meets Luca who is also in a coma and he can see her and even hear her. He helps her come to terms with her condition. This book gave me “all the feels” and made me think of what does go on after going into a coma. Can you really hear everything they say? Can the others hear you? Can you give little nudges to people hoping they’ll do something? I found it all fascinating!! I’m not sure why this book has very little reviews. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release in exchange for my honest review. Looking forward to more books by this author. To be published June 20, 2022.

This was a quick, easy, light read. I was expecting it to be a little more dramatic and emotional given the premise which is why I didn’t rate it higher. However, it was still an interesting enough story, albeit dragging in some areas. I thought the ending was sweet and would have loved an epilogue.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A sweet book about finding live somewhere between life and death. The dialogue jarred with me a little. Otherwise a pleasant read. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for letting me review this book.

I really wanted to love this book. I do like the writing which I find so easy to get into the book.

However, with such an intense premise I was expecting a more intense read. It maybe due to my high expectations. How the story proceeds in the later half quite disappointed me.

I would say the book won't take time to read. The character development could have been much better and the plot more intense.

The ending was a bit disappointing.

Thank you, Quilla Books, for the advance review copy.
