This was a well written story with a great storyline that I found enjoyable. I loved that I could just sink in to the story and escape. A welcome continuation of the Chicago Bratva series

Oh my... Hello daddy issues!! Kateryna is loaded with them and it's a little bit unsettling but once you move on from that this is actually an entertaining read!
I'd describe it as filthy with feelings which I appreciate.
It's technically a dark romance and a mafia romance but compared to most mafia and dark romances it is a fluffy bunny! It touches on messed up and serious issues (people trafficking, sex-trafficking, drugs etc) but all the nightmare material is background. It's not focused on or dwelled upon. It's not handled lightly but the book focuses on Kateryna and Adrian's relationship and not on mafia politics or darkness. It's low drama and low angst. Adrian and Kateryna have amazing chemistry and banter that I found highly entertaining.
I adored how Adrian was a mafia "cleaner" but was such a (relative) gentleman when it came to Kateryna. He had a moral code and I loved his burly, protective, demeanor and how he looked after her.
Kateryna... Well, I've already said she's a messed up puppy but I love how she found a home and someone to actually love her in Adrian.
It was fast paced and not overly long but despite this it took me a while to get through the book as I just didn't have much motivation to pick it up. It was enjoyable but it didn't grip me. It didn't make me want more, to read the others in the series, or read more from the author... I could put it down and forget about its existence.
If you're looking for a "gateway" book into dark-romance or mafia romance this book may not be a bad place to start but if you enjoy either of the sub-genres on the regular I'd skip.

Adrian wants revenge for the torment his sister Nadia was put through by a mafia boss. He decides to make the daughter of the mafia boss, Kat pay for her father's sins. Kat is already broken and damaged from life. Adrian never expected to catch feelings for his captive. Will the two be torn apart or stay together?

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley.

I liked Adrian. He was looking for a family remember and overall it was a great book. That being said I thought a bit more detail and a better plot would of done wonders

While I usually enjoy this author’s books, I struggled with this one. In the beginning, we follow Katerina to a night club. I found her actions almost cringe worthy since she makes some extremely reckless and dangerous decisions. I also felt Adrian, while filled with righteous anger, was reckless and naïve. His friends were correct in worrying about the blow back from Adrian’s actions. I did enjoy watching Kat and Adrian’s relationship develop; both with Adrian coming into his dom personality and Kat finally trusting someone with her body and emotions. (Prepare for some kinky scenes!) But then I felt the ending was rushed. Not my favorite from this author.

Adrian has the perfect plan to avenge his sister who had been sex trafficked...kidnap an innocent young woman and use her against her slimeball sex trafficker father. Probably not the best plan because Adrian kind of became the thing he was trying to get revenge against. Kateryna the young woman is kinky and all kinds of messed up with her father being a terrible person and her mother disappearing when she was young but she and Adrian connect. Adrian realizes that what he is doing is terrible and won't bring him the peace he thinks it will and he has fallen for Kateryna but he feels that he has ruined his chance with her with the whole kidnapping thing. I liked it, it was spicy but maybe not very realistic as Adrian had gone rogue and I am not sure the Bratva would appreciate that and the heat it could bring to their organization.

The book opens with Adrian looking for revenge against the man who took his sister. Though he rescued her she is not the person he remembers before the kidnapping. Now Adrian is looking for revenge and he thinks he has it in the form of the boss's daughter. He watches her, and gets her routine down, and yet when he thinks he has the right time to take her he is actually saving her from a date rape situation.
Is nothing like he was expecting and is finding it more of a problem to even now take her. Kat is having fun tormenting Adrian who is older than him and loves calling him “Daddy” for she knows how upset he gets. But she thinks he is handsome, and sexy and does not understand at first what is actually going on. As the story moves along more is revealed and the back and forth between the two characters is really what makes this book. The ending is good but this is really a good book with wonderful characters.

This story starts with a desire for revenge but she isn't quite what he expected!

A naughty school girl with attitude who winds him around her finger and in the end he can't walk away because, like his brothers in arms, he has a thing for naughty girls.

Loved Adrian's story, he and his Kat are perfect for each other. Excellent writing as always! Can't wait for The Player!

I can’t help but give this guy five stars. He completely one eighty- ed me. The story took on a new direction almost immediately! Flove the cover!

What did I like? This is my first of the series but easily a stand alone. Adrian is so not what I expected. Kay either but the story evolves so well I just didn’t want to put it down. They were just perfect for each other.

Would I recommend or buy? I enjoyed it and loved the cover so I would definitely add it to my shelves. The whole series looks pretty sweet. I don’t get much free reading time but I’d definitely love to read the rest! Five stars!

Thanks to the publisher for an ARC to read and I voluntarily left this opinion!

This book was alright. I liked the characters but the plot seemed to not be paved very well. It was an interesting read but I’m not sure I would reread it

❤️❤️❤️
💋💋💋

This is a steamy, Bratva romance.
Some triggers here, kidnapping, trafficking, drugs, tied to a bed, attempted forced sex by a group, violence.
Probably a few others too tbh.

The storyline was decent, very good characters too, I felt it was all put together a little bit easy.
It felt almost like watching amateur dramatics ( not quite up to what you expected for the content)

I did enjoy it though, pretty quick read around 4 hrs, and as I said it did hold my attention, just felt something was missing, tension was one of them.

I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

This book is the 7th book in the series (8 total). You don't have to read any of the previous books to understand what is going on (from what I could gather this is a standalone and it was really easy to follow along if you have not read any of the other books) but it doesn't hurt as some of the characters do cross over from the prior works.

Ok this book surprised me. I have never read anything by Renee Rose and I was surprised to enjoy. This book follows Adrian in his attempt to get revenge for the wrongs that have been committed against his sister by using the daugther of the man who committed these atrocities, Kateryna, as bait.

I loved Adrian as a character. He starts off as this morally grey character (he does have a violent plan to avenge his sister) but as the story progresses, you get to see a softer side of him and his eventual turn to a somewhat moral highground (or as moral as a Russian mobster could get). Kateryna was also fun to read- she is a little hellcat, full of fire and spunk and a penchant for being bad. She knows what she wants and she is not afraid to pull out all of the stops to get it. The romance between these two is spicy despite the fact that I kind of feel like it was not hidden very well from the beginning (there was no way Adrian wasn't going to fall for Kat) but it wasn't rushed like it could have been for a book that is on the shorter side and it was fun to read.

I seem to love reading dark books and that is what this drew me in, but it is not as dark as some other books I have read. There are trigger warnings of sex trafficing and sexual assualt that should be noted so this book may be touchy for some. That being said, if you are into reading mafia stories with morally grey characters that touch on some dark material, this is an easy read and keeps you hooked from start to finish.

While Mafia and a romance, Adrian’s kidnapping of Ukrainian crime boss daughter Kateryna was more of his story of learning to forgive. A quick read and while my not usual type of book, older man, younger girl, I did like it.
A worthwhile read for this book and the series.

Thank you NetGalley for providing an ARC in return for my honest review.

I've previously read Renee Rose's Bad Boy Alpha series, the Vegas Underground series, as well as her previous books in the Chicago Bratva series and can say that this book didn't disappoint.

I really appreciated the pacing of this story where we were introduced to Adrian and Kat, and very quickly got to learn the dynamics of their relationship. Adrian wants to kidnap Kat and use her, in order to get to Kat's father who is the man responsible for hurting Adrian's sister. Adrian and Kat's banter was always entertaining, and I appreciate that this was more of a 'light' dark romance. This story is fast paced and has a lot of drama packed in, along with some signature Renee Rose spiciness.

I thought that this was a raunchy and sexy read and it was fab!

I thought that the book was very well written and it had a great storyline that was enjoyable and very well developed. I loved that I could just sink in to the chair with the book and escape from the day to day – the book is slightly different from ones I would normally pick up and I embraced that and it has certainly made me look at other mixes of genres for my future reads

It is 4 stars from me for this one, a well-developed story with some great characters!

Highly recommended and certainly one I will be recommending!

A surprisingly sweet dark romance that had me hooked. I really enjoyed this and would look for the author again.

Soooo… Kat was a bit too immature and reckless for me. Besides her looks, I can’t see why he would be interested in her. Maybe it’s just me. I thought this book was okay. I had to skip around a lot to finish it though. It just didn’t capture my attention very well.

Adrian, the mafia cleaner, is out for revenge for his sister. He kidnaps Leon Poval’s daughter Kateryna. Adrian was expecting to treat her the same way his sister, but he has a conscience and a heart. She thinks he’s just a guy she picks up at a bar who’s into the same Daddy kink she is, but she soon realizes her mistake. She soon finds out her father has been trafficking women for sex. A good story with great chemistry between the characters, but will they find their HEA after the revenge, will their new love mean anything? I voluntarily read and reviewed this wonderful story.

Poor Adrian He assumes he knows what he is doing kidnapping the crime lord's daughter, Kat. Boy, is he in over his head. Kat is a strong willed, sexual woman with what could definitely be called abandonment and daddy issues. She is a masochist, who immediately wants her kidnapper.

Kat uses sex with strangers to make herself feel good and less alone in the world. On the night she and Adrian meet, she should be at home ready for a history exam tomorrow, but instead Kat is out at a rave dressed as a naughty schoolgirl.

Adrian just wants revenge for his sister who was trafficked by Kat's father. This book has a lot of emotion, and its interesting to see inside both their minds as this journey continues. I really enjoyed this book and the author's writing style.
