This was a story with not much of a storyline or meaningful characters. It is basically all about kink. This was not a book I could sit and enjoy.

Wow! Loved this book as much as the first, it had just enough of everything going on, it made me cry, it made me fall in love, it made me feel angry, but it also made me laugh out loud! Such a roller coaster but what books aren’t amazing with out the highs and lows….

Loved reading the entertaining and engrossing romance story. Adrian wants revenge against the man responsible what happened to his sister and puts his plan into action: kidnap the crime lord's daughter, Kateryna (Kat), and make him pay for what he's done. Adrian and Kat's chemistry is explosive and passionate. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, riveting storyline, and a must read love story.

The Cleaner should be called Beautiful Ambivalence. Adrian Turgenev needs to kidnap and pretend to defile Kateryna Povala. He seeks retribution for her father’s sex trafficking that resulted in the kidnapping and rapes of his own little sister. He’ll kidnap Leon Poval’s daughter and use her as bait to kill him.

“Kat” pegs Adrian as a cinnamon roll almost immediately. Whether, he’s just rescued her from being gang-raped at a rave, playing dom to her sub, or carrying out his nefarious revenge plot, she can’t see the worst in him when he is making her feel so seen and alive. Having lost her mother, receiving next to no attention from her father, and having no friendships whatsoever, it’s no wonder the poor girl latches on to the first man who shows her kindness and vulnerability.

Kat and Adrian demonstrate a very weird and kinky captive/captor dynamic that is fun and sexy to witness. Renee Rose does a sweet job combining forbidden and true love, as usual. This a welcome and fitting continuation of the Chicago Bratva series!

I could not connect with this book very well. I think if the characters were both American, I would have been able to enjoy this book more. However they were not. A Russian and Ukrainian main characters, a kidnapping plot - despite a happy ending, I disliked the main alpha male character instantly because of the Ukrainian war. I might not done it last year, but I struggled with this book because of the events in Ukraine.

Continuing in the pursing of a woman, The Cleaner is about Adrian and his thirst for vengeance. Adrian is the first one we met at the beginning of this series. He burned down a factory and needed a defense lawyer. As a secondary character, 7 books in, his story is finally told.

What do we learn about Adrian? Poor planning and even worse impulse control. Good lord this boy is going to get everyone into trouble with his hot head. He is not a bad guy. He is immature and lacks understanding of how his harebrained schemes can backfire on not just him, but everyone. The fact that he thinks he can carry out his plans solo so that it won't impact his "brotherhood" just shows his stupidity. I guess it is good that he is The Cleaner. It is a focused role in that he basically makes sure things are clean by blowing things up. I like Adrian. His heart is in the right place. His head is screwed on backward. Bless his heart, he's sweet and honourable just not the brightest bulb. His poor boss has his hands full.

Kateryna is unexpected just as Adrian notes. She is my kind of girl. Her lack of maturity matches Adrian's and perhaps her wild ways will help temper Adrian and get him to be more responsible. Kateryna is described so well I can totally see what she looks like in my mind. Dirty school girl outfit with overly make up mascara that runs around her eyes. She is a walking billboard asking to be sexually violated. She's just looking for the right Daddy dom. Adrian isn't into the Daddy dom thing but he'll definitely punish her for bad behaviour.

The storyline in this book is a bit weaker than the others. I'm amazed how things turned out because it is completely ludicrous what Adrian planned. On top of it, the rewards they reaped are completely unbelievable because all bank accounts would be frozen, including Katerina's... Suspending my disbelief aside, the erotic parts of this story are delicious. I mentioned the Daddy kink. There is some rough play as well as spankings. Happy happy joy joy! Kateryna is a bit of a brat but a cute one. She does have daddy issues and finally acknowledges it. Overall, this is a fast sweet read. Recommended to kinky readers who love their mafia bad boys.

Kat has some daddy issues, real ones, causing her to lash out and make poor decisions. When Adrian meets her for the first time he thinks she’s the typical spoiled rich girl with too much money to make good choices, making her the perfect pawn in his plans for revenge against her dad. Unfortunately this gentle giant soon realizes his plans are for naught as he is in no way prepared to become the dark and evil man her father is. Their relationship may start off on the wrong foot and it’s kinky nature at some points seem tainted by Adrian’s revenge plot the internal struggle he faces soon show Adrian’s true character. Warning: This book may have some dark triggers that prove to be too much for some, so reader beware but in the end show how some non traditional relationships may be just what one needs. There is kink and heat to a high degree and the lead relationship does happen a bit fast but Kat and Adrian seem to blend well together. This is part of a series, and there are many familiar faces as the stories intertwine but you do not necessarily need to read the others to enjoy this one, although I recommend you do. It is enjoyable just buyer beware about it’s dark undertones. 4 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed an arc copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The tables are turned in a heated romance that surprises both - and brings out some hidden desires - to their own surprise. A bit of BDSM, but not extreme, and actually well done - along with a mix of Russian mafia, family ties, betrayal, and gee - who are the good guys and bad guys here? Fast read - and good storyline along with the heat.

Adrian is out for revenge after his sister was kidnapped and sex trafficked and now, he plans to get that revenge by taking the daughter of the man who did it. He kidnaps Kateryna but soon sparks are flying. This is a fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. The chemistry is intense and the scenes are sizzling. I really liked it.

Despite never having read any of the previous books in the series, I actually really enjoyed this book. It was a lot like the darkest temptation/stolen heir and I think it did the whole kidnapper/kidnappee thing really well. I'd definitely read it again, so give it a go!
4 stars, I thought it was great.

I read the first two book in this series, so I recognized some names and it was nice that other couples were explained.

This book is about Adrian, the Cleaner for Ravil and Kreml resident for the Chicago Bratva, and the kidnapping of the daughter of his nemesis, who ruined his younger sisters life.

Kateryna doesn’t want to fall for her captor, but she’s drawn to him and when he threatens her with spankings, all bets are off.

Some twists and turns, but in the end insta-love wins and more school girl outfits need to be bought ;-)

Moving to the US, Adrian came with the hopes of finding his sister who has been taken by a Ukrainian sex trafficker. Finding her and managing to inflict a small segment of revenge against Poval. But he wants more, he wants to take him down and his solution to that lies with the girl he has been watching and following around Liverpool – Poval’s daughter Kat.

Her therapist would tell you she has daddy issues and in part, Kat would agree. But her biggest issue has to be abandonment. Using sex to make herself feel good and less alone in the world. Whilst she should be at home ready for a history exam tomorrow, Kar is instead dressed as a naughty schoolgirl and out partying. She meets a handsome stranger who appears to blow hot and cold with her but comes to her rescue and offers to take her home.

Bringing the timeline of his plans forward, Adrian finds it hard to resist Kat tied to the bed in the small rental apartment. Unwilling to be like the scum who abused his sister he tries to keep his hands to himself, even if Kat appears to be a willing participant. Finding out the reasoning behind their meeting Kat doesn’t know what to believe anymore but there is something about Adrian that makes her hope he’ll stick around – but will he?
