Great book for children to better understand masking and why it's important, as well as to not feel singled out for wearing a mask. Great book for younger children and includes child friendly illustrations.

I understand the need for this story. Masking has declined and there will come a time when it needs to heat up again. I like the artwork; it’s bright, it’s colorful, and grabs your attention. The book rhymes but because of the way the stanzas are written on the pages it doesn’t facilitate those rhymes very well. Some of the rhymes are spot on, some are harsh, but overall it’s not too bad it just needs an adjustment and text layout.

It's great to have books for kids that can be used as guides to explain why and how they may need to do new things for their safety and for the safety of others. This book shows clearly how to wear a mask the right way, and helps young readers to feel good about doing it.

It was such a good idea and the need for a mask and handwashing is well presented with delightful illustrations. But. It would have been SO much better if it gave credence to the need to utilize for colds and flu as well as Covid. This BSN/mother/grandmother requested and received an ebook copy from BooksGoSocial via NetGalley.

This is indeed a timely book during the global pandemic. Hopefully it will make mask-wearing a little more fun for young children who might otherwise feel embarrassed or hesitant to wear a mask. I would recommend that parents read this book together with their children to help them foster regular mask-wearing habits, even in crowded public spaces after the pandemic.

A cute book encouraging kids to wear masks and practice good hygiene during the Covid-19 pandemic. The simple language and playful tone is great for kids who may feel confused or scared in this strange time.

The book follows two siblings learning about why they are seeing people with parts of their faces covered and why they are being asked to do the same. It's written in a non-fiction style, with a rhyming, omnipotent narrator.

Throughout, the art style is bright and engaging with full-colour pages that have a good amount of depth and detail to be captivating for the target audience. However, (I say this as a primary school teacher) the virus visual is too striking and rather unsettling to some young readers. The tone it portrays is one of fear, as opposed to encouragement, which is notably more appropriate for the age range.

The font used for all of the text is aesthetically pleasing but unsuitable for children to follow, particularly with the capitalisation of some letters and the bold format. Also, periodically the text is moved to accommodate the illustrations, making it difficult for children to follow a sentence. It utilises a decent, two-line rhyming structure, although this occasionally stumbles, and introduces some new vocabulary to young readers.

That the book includes general advice for being healthy is appreciated as, again, it better suits the target audience.

The writing style makes this suitable for reading to five to seven-year-olds. From the vocabulary used and how much of it is phonetically decodable, a child would be about seven years old to read this independently or with minimal support. However, I disagree with the tone so much that I would not share this with the children in my classes.

A fun and informative book for kids on wearing masks as we continue through dealing with COVID19. I think books like this are important for children since masks can seem annoying or scary, but are important to use.

The discussion about not only wearing masks, but social distancing and making sure you're keeping your hands clean and covering your mouth when you cough is important with kids too!

Wear Your Mask With Pride is a quick story that really talks about the importance of COVID protocols and even just hygiene that would have been important before COVID.

What I loved about this was how the virus was really drawn as this lingering villain which really captured the young one's attention as they were eager to figure out how to fight the villain off. With the main characters dressed as superheroes too really helped get the message across of how important it is to follow everything to protect not only yourself, but those around you.

The illustrations are fun and bright which really captures the young ones attention.

This rhyming picture book tells about the importance of following mask, distancing and personal hygiene protocols during a pandemic in a way that is easy for young children to understand. The practices such as hand sanitizing and coughing into an elbow are helpful and important even when there is not a pandemic occurring, and are just important health practices that children need to be taught. I think that it is important to have lots of great books out there for kids about personal hygiene and PPE like masks, even as mask requirements are being lifted in many places. I would recommend this book to parents and teachers of children in the age 3-8 range, or children with developmental disabilities who would benefit from social stories about personal hygiene practices for keeping healthy. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book!

This was a cute quick read about the importance off masking up during the pandemic. Young readers can easily follow the logic behind the importance of wearing a mask and washing hands to keep yourself and those around you safe. The illustrations are great (especially loved the little germs) and the rhyming words make it a fun read.

Wear Your Mask with Pride is a great book for this current climate. I liked the bright, cartoon-like illustrations. The type was easy to read, and wasn't too scary in what viruses can do.
