Kayleigh Harwood’s life is in a downward spiral and she’s hoping a job at Elderflower Grove will help her live again. She lies to pose as a beekeeper to get a job there while living in her childhood Hampshire village. She’s lost her business and her boyfriend and has moved back with her Tinder-loving mother.

The mysterious bee manager, the fire damaged house you’re not allowed to enter, the villagers who believe the rumors of ghosts. It was a lot to buy into. And it was tough to believe anyone would be accepted for a job that’s completely outside of her abilities…and she just wants it for the sake of being at a house out of a live-action Disney movie (her words). You have to get past a few things to get to what the description promises.

I was distracted by the emphatic italics and was shocked when I read this character was 36. She sounds like a confused teenager. I never saw growth from Kayleigh who alternately thinks she’s Belle from Beauty and the Beast or Jane Bennet visiting Netherfield.

The dialogue didn’t sound believable, the character development was nonexistent, and I just couldn’t care about Kayleigh, Carey, or the house. The subtitle says romcom but I didn’t laugh once through this slow, fluffy read.

I absolutely love this authors books and they just keep getting better and better. The beekeepers at elderflower grove was a beautiful poignant read which encapsulated lots of elements which combined the past and the present and also was a story of romance and mystery and intrigue and how events of the past could shape the future. It also showed that with community spirit and a little bit of hope and optimism that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

I loved that it also brought out the importance of looking after bees and nature throughout the story too.

There is so much more I want to say but hard to review any further as I don’t want to give spoilers.

I would love a sequel to this to see what events happen next at elderflower grove and where the next steps of Kayleigh and Carey’s life takes them.

Highly recommend this as a
Perfect escapism read once I had started I couldn’t stop and read it in almost one sitting.

I am obsessed with anything bee related so it was a given that I wanted to be part of this tour. What I didn't know was how much I would love this book.

This is the second of Jaimie's books that I've read and her style of writing is just so heartwarming and she makes you feel like you are one of the characters within the book.

This book really captured my heart and filled it with so much joy, I just couldn't put the book down. I can't wait to get stuck in to more of Jaimie's books.

What a fab story. I learnt a lot about bees. A intense love story held the book together . Carey and Kayleigh were amazing characters.. I loved the description of the old house and gardens. I read it. In one night. Brilliant. Jamie Admans writes amazing books.

This book was pure fluff. I am interested in bees and bee-keeping but sadly there wasn't much information about that. Instead it was a very slow, boring read.

Thank you to NetGalley for the advance read.
