I really enjoyed this. I love a contemporary story yet one that is also charmingly sweet and pure - and this totally delivered on that. For example, it starts with main character Kayleigh being interviewed online by a computerised bee. There's lots of banter, humour and cult references as an 80s kid (ie Fraggle Rock) but its also about beekeeping, rural crafts, kisses (not sex) and community. The little bee facts that start each chapter were also a really nice touch ie dud you know that bees communicate through dance or beat their wings 12,000 times per minute. It's a bonkers story - a 'talking' house, a missing octogenarian and dastardly villain - but its fun and easy reading with the modern day romance playing out against the history of the house and its previous inhabitants.

This is a sweet book about starting over and giving grace. Both of our main characters have had some tough luck, and made bad choices, leaving them feeling a bit outcast. They work together to rejuvenate Elderflower Grove, with some hard knocks along the way, and end up discovering new perspectives. One star removed, however, for the lack of realism in the beekeeping aspect. There's little chance that a newbie apiarist would pick up on beekeeping, and have no fear, just through reading a quick book.

I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book, exactly what I needed in my life right now. A wonderfully written story full of love, laughter and a hint of magic. This is most definitely a book that you must read for yourself

I love Jaimie Admans books, they are always so wonderfully uplifting and utterly feel good.

In this book we meet leading lady Kayleigh who is desperate for a fresh start. She had just had to move back into the spare bedroom in her mum's house after a horrible breakup.

Desperately in need of something new and completely different than what her old life held. Kayleigh sees an advert for a new beekeeper at Elderflower Grove and literally jumps at the chance even though she doesn't know anything about bees.

Elderflower Grove has been a highly talked about manor house, always the talk of the towns history as they have invented multiple stories about why happened to the previous owner of the manor who magically vanished. Kayleigh has always been a curious person and so decides that she has to explore inside the grounds and to see if she can solve the mystery. But the house isn't empty like people believe as the gardener Carey has been living inside.

Carey explains that the manor and land is at risk of being demolished which would put the bees in danger and he has been living there to try and protect the bees, the manor and the land.

Kayleigh knows that she has to join the fight too and Kayleigh and Carey form a bond.

Could this be exactly what Kayleigh needs to put her life back on track and lead to her happily ever after?

Another gorgeously uplifting utterly romantic book. Loved it.

What a great, read. Written with humour and it’s always interesting to learn something about such things as beekeeping, allergies, and the secrets an old building can hide and reveal. The love story from the past and the present love story were well described with feeling and care. Whilst many may describe this book as a light weight ladies book, it was well written and the subjects covered should be of concern to all..

This was a lovely summer read but, quite quirky at times. But I’m giving it five stars as I really enjoyed it. I learnt a lot about bees in general which I didn’t know before so, this book was an education. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

Kayleigh needs a new start. Her life has fallen apart and she's desperate for a job. So she applies for beekeeper over 60 hives, and is hired, despite the fact the closest she's ever gotten to a hive is to notice the jar of honey calcifying in the pantry. She discovers a man living in the abandoned mansion and falls in lust, but this goes on forever while their romance "progresses." They "smile," "grin," and "laugh" a total of 248 times (Kindle search) in this slow-moving story. I got 2/3 of the way through and couldn't finish.

Such a good book, I was hooked and could t put it down.
Kayleigh has had her fingers burnt and comes home to her mum and her old bedroom in the village she grew up in. Lying to get a job in the ruins of her local country house she is interviewed by a bee!
She sets about trying to cram in how to be a bee keeper.
Carey Is a mysterious elusive man she meets whilst working with the bees. They meet and then cover a mystery and a passion for wildling.
This is a lovely book.

Oh wow!! such a fantastic uplifting read. A great summer holiday read . Which makes
you actually belive in magic. Sit down and and escape for a few hours to Elderflower Grove.. You certainly will not be disappointed. I just didn't want this book to end. Cannot wait to read more books by Jaimie. Gets 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Jaimie has done it again!

Reading this book, I’ve laughed, cried and felt so many other emotions.

The book was an absolute pleasure to read, I loved the main characters, Carey and Kayleigh. I also loved how each chapter had a bee fact at the beginning. I also loved Gracie, the setting, which sounds beautiful. The way Jamie described it, I felt as though I was there.

I highly recommend this book.

The beekeeper of Elderflower grove is a romance book with a bit of mystery thrown in as well, which kept me hooked to find out what actually happened to the previous owner and if Carey was actually her grandson. I feel this gives the relationship between Kayleigh and Carey quite magical and also special as they investigate together. 
 
I thought the bee enthusiasts were brilliant characters to help the story, especially Gracie who shows how much she loves the bees and also the environment within the village.  
 
 
I found myself so anonyed with Kayleigh with the big white lie she told during her job interview (I'm just a sucker of honesty) but it just shows how much I was drawn into the book straight away. A very cute book for a summer read.

Kayleigh gets a job as a beekeeper at an abandoned manor house. Despite agreeing not to enter the house, she does, and does so on her first day on the job and meets Carey and the story evolves from there. This is a romance and pretty predictable. There were loads of holes in the story but it was still quite a good low key romance. The mystery around the previous owner of the manor was a nice additional storyline and kept my interest. I also quite liked the beekeeping side of the story and impressed with how quickly Kayleigh picked up the art of beekeeper......

This book will have you laughing from the start, I don’t think there has ever been a more hilarious opening than Kayleigh’s job interview with a bee!!

Jaimie Admans has a wonderful storytelling style that is so easy to read. I read the whole story in 24 hours.

I loved the bee storyline as they are so topical, and I wish I lived somewhere where people dressed in such bee related attire!

The characters are wonderful. I loved Kayleigh and her attempt to bluff being a beekeeper! Carey is a complex character who has great taste in t shirts.

I loved the interwoven love stories and the library!

A brilliant read (for me I think postbox at the North Pole tops it, but this one will have you laughing far more).

I totally loved this book. I found all of the bee facts really interesting. I loved the characters. I fell in love with everything bees! I even went to the bee section of our County Show and had to buy some beeswax lip balm! Also my next read is obviously Pride & Prejudice!!! This is her best book yet. I love this author.

If like me you are scared of bees, then be warned this book contains lots of those black and yellow stripey buzzy monsters!

I'm aware I should have guessed that from the title but honestly I see this author's name and know I want to read it regardless.

And although I'm never going to be a fan of bees, I do appreciate the level of detail and research that must have been carried out, in order to give us a great overview on how to be a beekeeper, and just how amazing these little monsters really are.

But what really caught my attention was Elderflower Grove itself, the grounds, the mystery, even the potential of ghosts initially, all of which is what made this book so so special.

And the further into the story I got the more hooked I was, and the last quarter was fabulous and everything that I needed it to be and more. With plenty of completely unexpected revelations, I hadn't guessed anything correctly!

I loved the setting and the characters, well all the human ones at any rate, give or take the obvious villain, and was always happy to be back between the pages of this story, snatching a few mins here and there as and when I could.

Although not my favourite by the author, on account of far far far too many buzzy bees being alive, although it was interesting to hear how honey comes out of the hives, it is still a fabulous story from her, and I look forward to her next book.

You're usually guaranteed all the feels when you read a book by Jaimie Admans. The Beekeeper at Elderflower Grove is no different. Seeing the relationship between Keyleigh and Carey grow throughout the book was just wonderful. I laughed so much at the cheesey bee and well jokes and was looking forward to seeing what character was going to be on Carey's T Shirt. I did think that the main twist was a bit obvious but there were a few surprises thrown in that I didn't see coming. All the references to Disney films and Jane Austen made my little heart happy. I also need to attend a Regency ball as soon as possible. I feel a little bit sad that I'm finished it now but I'm sure I won't be waiting too long until there is a new book by Jaimie.

A true feel good read, perfect for the summer! I loved really getting lost in the setting. The house and grounds of Elderflower Grove felt almost ethereal. I loved the little facts popped in about bees and really enjoyed the elements including the beekeeping and gardening. They are two of my favourite things, so this really was a perfect read for me!
It's hints of magic and fate really made this special, I loved the idea that the house was another character in itself, it made this. I love the unravelling of mysteries and the two story lines together meant there was plenty of intrigue and plenty to keep you guessing throughout.
This was a real pleasure to read, it's light hearted, funny and a brilliant sunny read.

What an absolutely wonderful story this was, I enjoyed every moment of being at Elderflower Grove especially in the company of Kayleigh and Carey as well as the villagers and the bee puns were fantastic!

Loved this and as it got further in I couldn’t put it down. At one point I was expecting Carey to be a ghost but didn’t see it coming as to his true identity. I had a very late night when the fire broke out as I had to know what would happen. Brilliant from start to end.

Loved it!!! Such a cute and magical story. It's the perfect summer read. What could go wrong when Kayleigh is hired as beekeeper of Elderflower Grove? Did I forget to mention that Kayleigh has never been a beekeeper and uses "A Complete Idiot's Guide to Beekeeping" to help her keep the bees alive. I knew Carey was keeping secrets when he met Kayleigh and I suspected she was going to be angry when she finally learned the truth about him. Kayleigh and Carey were exactly what each other needed. Loved the relationship they had together and the banter they had back and forth. The scene in the kitchen with Kayleigh and one of her mom's "boyfriends" was a little unexpected. He didn't seem to care that he was naked. Loved the mystery about what happened to Josie and Guillaume. Elderflower Grove sounded like a bee-utiful place to live. There were enough bee puns to last a lifetime. The villagers sure loved those bees. I was sad to see the story end. Would have loved to see where everyone was a year later.

Definitely recommend the book. Would love to live at Elderflower Grove, especially if it came with a cute guy who made friends with foxes and wore Gremlins and other fun T-shirts.. Loved the story, characters and writing style. I pretty much had a smile on my face throughout the book. The section about the author is the best, which makes me love her even more. There's definitely not enough time to read all the books that I want to read. Look forward to reading more books by the author. Love the cover of the book. The covers get me every time.
