Something happens at Elderflower Grove that makes this whole book magical from start to finish. It is wonderful to immerse ones self in the house, the local villagers and Kayleigh and Carey's story, not to mention the surrounding mystery as it unfolds. I already love watching bees so I especially liked the quotes at the top of each chapter and how the story weaves everything together, including unexpected events, plus I have learnt so much about bees along the way. This is a book that you won't want to put down, it will have you turning the pages until late, it is quite simply Jaimie Adman's at her best and I can highly recommend it.

Satisfying. The perfect book. With solid characters and clever plot. Genuine heroine who grows and learns.

Another fantastic read- possibly my favourite yet!
An atypical love story blossoming among the flowers and hives- perhaps more than once?
With a little bit of intrigue and a possible bad guy (or is he good, or a bit of both?) and a mystery to solve this is a lovely summery read- great for a beach or relaxing in the garden.

Oh my days!! Jaimie has done it again!
This book has brought on so many emotions in me, I've smiled, cringed, gasped, laughed, cried and much more. This has been such an absolute delight to read. I instantly fell in love with the 2 main characters in the book. Carey and Kayleigh. I loved the way Kayleigh kept changing her description of Careys aftershave, and I adored the way each chapter started with a bee fact.
I can honestly say that this is my favourite book of the year and I certainly wish I had a grandmother like Gracie.. she rocks!
The estate sounds idyllic and with Jamie's exceptional writing skills, I could picture everything, hear everything and smell everything. I was there. Such a perfect book.

This book certainly brought the sweetness of honey to us readers.
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers and the author Jaimie Admans for the opportunity to read this book for my honest opinion

I loved this book! Another fab Jaimie Admans story, the perfect summer read. I loved the main characters and would absolutely love to live in their village but I really enjoyed the back story of Josie and Guilliame. Clear your diary for an afternoon or two in the garden and get reading - and I bet you look at bees in a different way after reading this and crave some honey 🍯🤣 thank you so much to Netgalley for an advanced copy

I fell in love with this book immediately! The characters are rich and enjoyable, and I really couldn't have liked them more. The dialogue was perfectly written, and I would totally want to live in this town myself. What a perfect summer read!

Kayleigh has moved back home. Her heart broken, she’s looking for a fresh start, and while the empty house isn’t exactly welcoming, it’s a place to stay. When an opening for a beekeeper at Ederflower Grove becomes available, Kayleigh jumps at the chance. The fact that she know nothing about bee keeping doesn’t deter her, the chance to examine the abandoned house and grounds is just too enticing to ignore. The handsome gardner living rough in the ruins is just the icing on the cake. A sweet, high spirited read

I actually enjoyed this one! The story is lovely with someone not knowing about bees and then become a keeper of them! Well written, a perfect beach read

This was a cute idea but the plot was a little too forced for me. Not my favorite Jaimie Admans book. Something about it just felt slightly off. The beekeeper plot was cute. I’m not sure how Kayleigh forgave Carey for what was revealed. It just seemed too out of character especially given what happened in her past.

Jaimie Admans books always manage to grab you from the first page, and this wonderful book is no exception. I was drawn in by the magical, otherworldly atmosphere of the story, and it’s main character - Elderflower Grove - a deserted Manor House, which was partially damaged by a fire and whose elderly owner was believed to have perished in the fire, although no trace of her has ever been found. On top of the house are sixty beehives, complete with bees, and when a beekeeper post is advertised to care for the hives, Kayleigh ( I now have the song of the same name by Marilliongoing round my head!) , applies and gets the post. There is only one problem, she lied and has never looked after bees in her life - and now she has 60 hives to look after and an expectation of supplying honey to the locals! While she is nosing around the deserted house, she finds Casey sleeping in the remains and together they strike up a friendship as they discover the house and grounds together. But the house, as well as Casey and Kayleigh, holds many secrets and as the house slowly reveals them things are about to change forever.
I love any storylines that have a magical feel to them and this has it in bucketloads. Wonderful characters, beautiful setting, ghostly sightings and a long kept secret. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Oh I really really enjoyed this! A classic romantic comedy with great characters and a wonderful romance or two.
The setting was absolutely beautiful and I’d absolutely love to go there. We definitely need a sequel to this one.
The bee facts throughout were such a great touch.

O wow Jaimie Admans has done it again. The beekeeper at Elderflower Grove is a must read. I couldn’t put it down 📖 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So many twists and turns in the book, I loved it from the relationship between Kayleigh and Carey and under covering the truth behind The Nectar Inspectors and the Little Kettling villagers to who was the mystery man that left Josie devastated and desperately searching for him for years and presumed dead leaving behind her beloved bees.

I laughed, I cried whilst trying to work out the mysteries within the story. I can’t wait for Jaimies next book 📚

Kayleigh Harcourt needs a job. She’s back living with her mum after being betrayed by her boyfriend of 8 years. But it’s not easy, she’s not doing well on interviews and that’s why she goes for the job of beekeeper at Elderflower Grove. It’s a place she’s known and felt an affinity with since childhood. So what if she knows nothing about beekeeping- how hard can it bee?

I really enjoyed this book. It has everything you want in a good read - lovable characters, a great setting, romance, intrigue, dastardly deeds, Jane Austen and of course the bees. We all know how much we need the bees and I enjoyed the bee facts at the start of each chapter. The book is nicely paced, a few surprises and portrays a place that we’d all like to visit.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.

If your in the mood for a book that will whisk you away to a place full of magic, beauty and wonder, look no further than this gem of a book by the wonderful Jaimie Admans. Honestly this book was exactly what I needed, without even knowing. The story follows Kayleigh, a newly single 36 year old, brokenhearted and back living with her mum, so desperate for a job that she's having an interview with a bee. Now if that doesn't grab your attention, nothing will! Kayleigh has always been drawn to Elderflower Grove, so much so she's willing to be the resident beekeeper, knowing less than nothing about Bees. Going behind the locked gates opens up opportunities she never would have imagined, including the secretive Carey! Together they start to realise that the big house has stories to tell and its chosen them to be its voice!

It's a beautifully written story, each character felt so real to me and I was happy to follow them through their journey. As always with Admans Books, there was plenty of bee puns, and the banter between the two had me in stitches.

Admans is one of my favourite authors. Her books are filled with love, laughter, a few tears and a story that will stay with you forever....You better BEElieve that this book is the must read book of the summer, and I'm BUZZING for everyone to get the chance to read it.

I am thrilled to have been approved to read this ARC on #netgalley, I just love Jaimie Adman books, and this book here is awesome, I found myself laughing and wondering how Kayleigh would pull off the job of Beekeeper and found myself rooting for her and her mysterious pal Carey as they navigate an order of 500 jars of honey in an old run down mansion that suggests Beauty and the Beast meets IT. Magical, Whimsical and Mystical as well as creepy, scary and bone chilling, with all its shapes and shadows and funky noises. Its overgrown garden also lends itself to the imagination, creepy crawlies meet faeries. I once studied for a certificate in Fairyology. I definitely felt the Dear Jessie vibe of the outdoors, at times I felt Cherish by Madonna could have been part of the stories soundtrack too. By the end of the book I can assure you, you will be wanting to meet your own Carey, dance around in a little Bee outfit and spend many hours enjoying wild swimming and nature parks.
Jane Austin fans will certainly get their fix as some of her books are beautifully woven into the story, The only thing that was missing was the bumble bee from the music video No Rain by Blind Melon.
What of this old house then? Can it be saved? What story does it have to tell, which secrets lie beneath the dust and as for those beautiful and very clever bees. I absolutely loved learning little tips about them during the story.
Thank you Jaimie for another amazing book.

The beekeeper at Elderflower grove

I always get completely lost in Jaimie Admans books and this one is definitely no exception.

The summer setting at the house is beautiful and I learnt so much about bees from this book. Carey and Kayleigh's love story was beautiful and apart from the blip they go through I loved their story and watching them uncover the story of Elderflower Grove. I was really excited and drawn in from the get go.
5 stars

Thank you to Net Galley, the publisher, and author for providing this book for my review. The main character in this book applies for a job as a beekeeper even though she truly knows nothing about bees. As you can imagine there are quite a few funny moments because of this. I really enjoyed this cute rom-com. I love bees and nature so it was fun to read a book that incorporated the importance and love for nature in it as well. This is a great light read for summer. It is so uplifting, funny and sweet. The romance is adorable!
