I love that there is a book about Marie Curie that youngsters can enjoy. She was such a smart and brave scientist and doesn't always get credit for her discoveries. I will be getting this book for my classroom.

This was a great whirlwind of knowledge about Marie Curie.

Easy to read with great images to accompany it too.

Perfect for children aged 7-11 or even adults who just want to inhale a whole breadth of knowledge in a quick and digestible way.

5 stars.

I thought I knew quite a bit about Marie Curie, but this book was great and taught me lots more!

I loved the layout and the information given was written in a kid-friendly way that will keep them interested - perfectly pitched for the suggested age range. There was a great mix of images - photos and amazing illustrations, which were bright and colourful. A definite winner for me!

This is by no means the only young readers' biography of Marie Curie, the stony-faced Polish mastermind, double-Nobel winner and Kraftwerk inspiration. But it certainly is a good one, and should be flagged up for many an adult for having the breadth to cover all they would need to know about the subject for everyday life, as well. A distinctive style, where the illustrations are red and yellow and nothing else, a highly pictorial approach, and a very well-delivered lesson in the woman's life and times and achievements, all go to make this a very accessible yet comprehensive volume. Never patronising, always helpful, I have it that as it's a book many school pupils' parents should be happy to learn from, it's a huge success. So, kids, remember to ask for this – and take it home for your parents' homework!

I really enjoyed this book, it was well written, brilliantly set out and pitched perfectly for the target age group. I thoroughly enjoyed the book as an adult too!

I loved the mix of images - it has some photos of Marie and also some illustrations and they really do bring the book to life. Marie was a fascinating character and her determination to succeed was simply outstanding, she wanted to be a scientist and she made sure that was what she became.

Her discoveries were life changing and her legacy is amazing, she was a truly remarkable woman.

The book was easy to follow and understand, there is a key at the end of the main people in her life and also a glossary too for those not fully aware with some of the terms.

It is 5 stars from me for this book - a brilliant read - very highly recommended!!
