Wanted to find this funny and heartwarming and uplifting as advertised but unforutnately was left totally cold!

I really liked the premise of this book, however, I found the main character insufferable. I couldn't relate to her and I didn't like the style of writing. I had to DNF it at 25%

This was a good read, funny, romantic and lovely characters that were relatable. Really nice and easy read. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest opinion

This is an absolutely gorgeous rom con that you won’t be able to put down.
If you have a summer holiday planned make sure to add this book to your holiday packing list as it’s made for reading poolside!

I was drawn to this book by its resemblance to my big fat Greek wedding, one of my favourite movies. This was an okay read, enjoyable but forgettable

This book was a follow-up to the first book, The Man's Diet. It was a nice sequel and plays again in my beloved Italy. A chick lit 1st class for the summer. Read the 1st part first, although it can easily continue as a standalone. Thanks Netgalley for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

DNF. This was a re-release of an older book, and the dialogue felt that way. I thought it was going to be very Under the Tuscan Sun, and it wasn't. I didn't enjoy the small bit I read.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
I enjoyed the first book in the series, and I was looking forward to revisiting these characters in their new life in Italy. Everything has not gone according to plan with the B&B, whilst Julian's new career is taking off at a rate of knots, putting strain on the perfect relationship Erica had found after her first husband. Erica continues to struggle with her weight, and the description of seeing the older woman in the gym class was hilarious. The wedding planning has the reader on a rollercoaster of will they / won't they, and there are quite a few surprises on the way, whilst Erica's family rally round to support her.
I loved this book as much as the first, and am looking forward to the next!

A bit too much for me, it's a fun read but OTT in many ways. If you like big, splashy romcoms, this is for you.

This was an easy enough book to read, medium-paced, in a beautiful setting, however I wasn't a fan of the way Erica kept mentioning her weight and using degrading language repeatedly about herself. I also felt like the plot was quite unbelievable, which made me struggle to enjoy the book.

I don’t always have a hard time getting through a cute, contemporary romcom, but I did with “My Big Fat Italian Break-Up.”

The second in a series, this book is the continuation of Erica’s happily ever after with Julian, the former principal of her children’s school. Now, she runs a B&B in the Tuscan countryside while Julian pursues a prolific writing career. When they set a date to tie the knot, life finds a way to throw everything off balance and (maybe) pull them apart.

I thought this would be a fun read, but within the first few pages I already disliked the main character, our narrator for the plot. First person POV usually doesn’t bother me, but hearing some of Erica’s internal monologue I wanted to follow anyone else’s thoughts. There was just something that made me instantly dislike her.

The constant personal commentary on her weight and projecting her own issues on the other characters, even in the first chapter, made me nearly give up on the book immediately. So many of them made me uncomfortable and annoyed. And then they kept coming in the subsequent pages. I almost started rooting against her.

On the other hand, I did enjoy the author’s skill in depicting the setting. Sometimes I felt like I needed to take a huge leap and head right out to the Tuscany and forget the rest of my worries, perhaps without all of the worries that accompanied Erica’s plunge into Italy.

This was a perfectly average read, definitely not an OMG amazing groundbreaking everyone needs to experience kind of a read

This book is perfect for fans of the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I loved reading about Erica, but I also found her to be a little frustrating at times. Overall, this is a fun book!

Instead of my big fat Greek wedding you get My Big Fat Italian Break up. And I loved it. Italian families always seem to be slightly on the crazy side as well as being extremely loud. Or at least mine tends to be. So this one was a fun read.

Though I liked the premise for this book and was interested in the outcome for the characters, for me it just didn't quite hit the spot. I felt some parts were undeveloped while others were drawn out. The setting was idyllic and the writer did a brilliant job of inspiring wanderlust. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the advance read copy.

The cover of this book really appealed to me, it grabbed my attention and I was looking forward to reading.

It is very rare for me to dislike a book - my NetGalley review history confirms that point. However, this book just wasn’t my ‘cup of tea’.

The weight/size related comments and focus were difficult to read. As someone who has struggled with their weight and dieted through life (both successfully and unsuccessfully) it is emotionally painful to read such descriptions and use of language.

I am always open to reading new books and appreciate the time and effort that authors put into writing. My review is personal to me and may be different to how others feel.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for my advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review 📚

A very fun, quick read - I didn't realise it was the second in a series but, I don't think my reading of it suffered too much despite this. A well developed cast of characters.
