This was a light easy read. Not sure if it is something I'd want to happen in real life - I don't think I'd be brave enough to buy a flat with a complete stranger but you know, if its your thing, then go for it!

Lucy a workaholic and Zack the total opposite, he's very laid back and chilled. Now imagine them together, in a. flat... you'd think it was a recipe for disaster but somehow, they made it work.

It was a great read, if you are wanting something light, fun and rom-comish then I'd recommend.

Thanks to Netgalley and Danielle for allowing me access to this title.

This book was a very light and easy enemies to lovers read. Lucy being a workaholic and Zach being a laid back kind of person in a way that frustrated Lucy was the first thing that added tension between them which was added by Zach putting in an offer for Lucys childhood home.

This was a fun read although it may have been a bit too elongated and could have been resolved a bit faster it was still nice to read. The characters were interesting and Lucy definitely had a big character arc and Zach character was fleshed out towards the end which made sense. This book definitely uses the miscommunication trope quite a bit but the romance was still fairly good! Even though I really enjoyed it one thing I found a little weird was that Lucy kept saying she felt more relaxed with him or something but she also kept fixating on how big Zachs hand was and how small she felt with was extremely juxtaposing and I found was awkward. The “plot twist” was surprising but a little comical but I won’t say more due to spoilers.

Overall this was a nice read and I recommend of you’re looking for a fun one and a break from something more serious!

Stuck with Him is my first read from author and wont become the last.

The FMC Lucy is a workaholic woman who fight for her own design company. She also dealing with her own busy parents issues. In some points she must slow down and resetting everything. The MMC Zack is Lucy's opposite attraction, his relax and easy to flow personality complete Lucy and together they start enjoying the meaning of love and life. I enjoyed how their relationship is slowly growing and gain friendship.
I enjoyed so much the author writing style. It is easy to follow, full with funny banters, and light enough but fill with relatable modern life issues.

Read and reviewed in exchange for a free copy from NetGalley. This was a light hearted and fairly enjoyable read, although I wasn't too invested in the romance between the central characters and found the opening scenes frustrating. However, I enjoyed the house share premise, and felt that Owen-Jones wrote well.

Stuck with him is an enemies to lovers book with some laughs thrown in to lighten the mood. This is also a pretty spoiler free review.

Lucy has impossibly high standards for herself, and has an instant dislike for her Yoga instructor, Lucy also seems a little too independent to the point it looks like she is overburdening herself for nothing.

Zack who she views as being too laid back, ends up making matters a little worse as, he puts an offer in on her childhood home and she is determined to have it all for herself, she wants no one to have it but her. Zack's solution is to purchase the home together ! Lucy agrees but has a plan to drive him out like ofcousre she does..

The romance in this book was more of a slow burn as the two characters circle each other and get to know each other. I enjoy witty banter in books and this one had it. I also enjoyed watching Lucy come to the realization that work is not more important than her personal life.

I love Danielle's romances and this was no different! Stuck with Him is a fast-paced, easy-to-read rom-com, perfect for the summer or just to lift your spirits. It gives you enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity with a dash of cute romance, a generous helping of banter and all topped off with characters you can't help but love. I really liked Zack's personality - it was different to a lot of popular romcoms which tend to have the grumpy, hot-headed love interest - and I could relate heavily to Lucy's workaholic nature - the two of them complimented each other wonderfully, and I loved how Danielle brought life to each character,

This was a quick and fast-paced read. You will love this book if you love close proximity and enemies-to-lovers romances.

The two characters couldn’t be more different from each other. Lucy, with her unhealthy need to be an overachiever and succeed in her business, and Zack, whose goal in life is to maintain peace and live in the moment.

Lucy was definitely not my cup of tea. We shared similarities, but the things she did for work were a little over the top. Also, it irked me when she kept bringing up her no-good ex for no reason. Like, ma'am, I get it. He was trash.

I think her and Zack's relationship worked really well because he was there to remind her to calm down and breathe and she was there to remind him to take things a little more seriously every now and then.

In my opinion, Kate, Lucy's best friend, was not a true friend. Idle threats do not constitute friendship. I understand she went too far at the wedding, but you also went too far on the bridal party trip. If she were a true friend, she would've found another way to get Lucy to cool it on her perfectionism by not threatening her livelihood.

Thank you, Netgalley and Bookouture, for an eARC of this book for my honest opinion.

This was so cute! A wonderful romance, filled with witty banter, delightful characters, and just enough steaminess. A must read for romance lovers!

The plot of this book was a slight twist on the roommate romance with a house buy will they won’t they.. the writing probably needed to have a little more character exploration within and some further plot depth. It felt like a very basic romcom with which it wasn’t bad but had room to improve

I was so pleasantly surprised by this book! It's the perfect rom-com kind of pick me up we all so often need. It was the most adorable enemies-to-lovers I've read in a long time.

Zack is such a sweetheart, so adorable and nothing like the alpha males I've been reading about for the past 2 plus years. It was actually a wonderful break! Lucy reminds me of myself, always thinking about a million things and scared to just be. I really enjoyed their relationship and felt all warm and fuzzy by the end of this book!

I wasn't totally impressed by the writing. It was quite bland if I am going to be honest. I felt like I was back in my solely reading fanfiction or Wattpad days...and not in a good way. A lot of the time skips were annoying and I wanted more plot development as well.

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and Danielle Owen-Jones for this advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

Disclaimer: I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Lucy Clark is what you can call a workaholic. She has a career that claims most of her time, and when she gets the change to "cut loose" she is still trying to figure out ways to work.

Zack is as laid back as they come. An extremely attractive yoga instructor who is focused on a zen lifestyle and living life in the moment.

These two are polar opposites, but when Lucy's childhood home comes on the market and she needs help getting it, they work together to buy the house... for both of them.

This book is a cute, quick read - an enemies to lovers tale. I thought it was adorable and would recommend to anyone that likes a quick romance.

This book was a very easy read, with lots of funny moments which makes it a perfect holiday book. That being said, the romance storyline felt rushed and started very quickly, meaning you didn't have much time to warm to the characters relationship and the main character wasn't overly likeable..

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and I felt immersed in the characters world whilst reading it.

Lucy is a workaholic. Of the miss walking your friend down the aisle type because she has to take a phone call. It happened. She’s sorry. But she’s not really able to change her ways. She’s Type A. Driven. And knows no other way.

Zack is a cruisey, laid back, risky zen yoga teacher. He gets quite the shock when Lucy walks out of one of his classes because she ‘just can’t’. She’s trying to be calm and relaxed in order to recover her friendship with her best friend after the wedding incident, but it’s not going well. Imagine when Zack and Lucy both try ti buy the same house which happens to be Lucy’s childhood home. When neither can buy it in their own, they decide to buy it together. What could go wrong?

Enemies to lovers
Worlds apart / different world views
And a tad towards grump and sunshine tropes

The premise for this was good. The pacing was particularly slow. The romance is off the page.

This showed good potential but struggled a little in the execution. I didn’t really feel the pull of these two together beyond the friendship, and I tended to feel unsettled by the high likelihood Lucy would become increasingly frustrated with Zack. I felt she would have crushed his gentle soul within an inch of its life.

Danielle’s an author that I don’t even need to read the synopsis, I just know I will love the book. This has been one I’ve been excited for from the very beginning and it really hasn’t disappointed.

Lucy Clark is brilliant, I have loved the journey through the book with her and this is one that has kept me hooked.

I have loved everything about this book. This is one that has kept my attention, contained characters that I have loved and been a book that I have laughed out loud at.

I love how Danielle writes and it flows perfectly. As a reader, it is easy to relate and feel as though you know the characters. The settings are perfectly portrayed and this is one that I have found completely unique.

I literally cannot say anything negative about this book. I have devoured page after page in just one sitting. This is a book worthy of all the stars.

Review:

This book is a slow burn enemies to lovers, a good book, it has it's flaws but still an okay book to read. The book started off just fine and I thought I'd grow to love it but even after crossing the 70% mark I could bring myself to love it but I do like it. I wasn't that into this book because the main character was all work no play, she loved antiques and vintage stuffs and loves thrift shopping. Lucy is a workaholic coz that's what she learnt from her parents she was raised by her grammy who encouraged her love for interior design so lo and behold she's now an interior designer! One night of letting loose makes her career fail and she's trying to put everything back in place years later!
She goes to a yoga class and her regular instructor is replaced and in comes Zack who's carefree getting on every single one of her nerve! And he has the audacity to put in an offer for her childhood home with her grandma! Now she's all set to make rules just to drive him mad and chase him out of the house!

That about sums up the book the writing is okay, the language is lucid, the story and plot seems dragging with top many descriptions, so I'm not happy with it but I'm not sad I lost time either 🤷🏻‍♀️
