I really enjoyed this book. I connected well with the characters and was somewhat invested in their individual plights. This was especially helped by the rarety that is getting to read about a plus size female lead - and one in touch with and flaunting her sexuality as well.

I think most women would be thrilled by the idea of having a chance at love with the boy and member who's face they plastered all over their walls. Bea is living all our best lives!

Much spicier than the cover suggests, which was pleasant surprise!

This was really cute and had moments of humour but it lost me at a couple moments so as not to be a perfect holiday rom com

A merry and bright book with just the right amount of humour I did like the characters and appreciated the plus women side of things but I found the plot overall to be lacking something that held my interest.

Absolutely adored this book. Everything you need from a festive romance and more.
The characters are endearing and equal measure, the setting is utterly perfect and the laughs just kept coming. I will definitely be looking for more books by this author and recommending this one far and wide!

A nice easy Christmas read with some great topics covered such as body positivity and female empowerment. I wasn't overly in love with the characters and feel if the spice was taken away there wouldn't have been much of a storyline but all in all a good read.

Not 100% what I expected but I think the themes were handled really well. I loved the plus size rep and thought the discussion around female empowerment was great.

The cutesy cover doesn’t let on to how spicy this book gets at all!

I enjoyed this book but wasn’t blown away by it. The main characters weren’t anything special really but likeable enough to carry on reading.

A body positive and sex positive romance with a fresh concept and intriguing characters. Perfect for Christmas if you’re after some romantic reading!

If you love your Christmas romance dipped in a bit of spice, this book is for you. Bee is a porn star who gets hooked into a real christmas hallmark film. The only people who know the truth about her are the director and a few behind-the-scenes people...oh and the hot lead actor who is starring opposite her! Thi book gave me some real laugh-out-loud moments and may have become a regular on my Christmas reads.

I absolutely adored this book. Bee and Nolan's story was so good and I really loved the side characters too. I loved the writing from Julie and Sierra, and the spice was perfect. I can't wait for more stories from A Christmas Notch.

If you’re expecting your typical sweet Christmas romance then this book will be quite a shock. Bee is a plus size sex worker who gets the chance to be in a mainstream film with her teenage pop idol. No-one is supposed to know her secret, but as things heat up with her dream man the inevitable happens and her secret comes out. A very different but entertaining Christmas read.

I did enjoy this book, however if the spice was taken out there wasn’t really much to it.

A lot of sex (possitive) not alot of Christmas (negative)

Bee is a successful plus-size adult film star. She gets the chance to start in a Hope Channel's Christmas movie. She has to keep her other job secret as Hope Channel is a family TV channel. Bee is staring alongside ex-boy band member Nolan Shaw who is working to rebuild his career. They are playing a couple in love but soon the on-screen romance becomes an off-screen romance.

I really enjoyed this. I thought this was a lot of fun and a perfect festive read. I would say don't let the cover fool you as this book is quite steamy in places. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a festive read. I hope these two authors publish more books together in the future.

It's an easy Christmas read.
I wanted to love it I REALLY did but the cringeworthy sex scenes and the main characters always being reduced to their trope left me disappointed because it had the potential to be flipping awesome.

I love this book. It was cute, quirky, Christmassy, but also with a little spice. The characters were relatable and harder on issues that you could understand their motives for what they were doing the character arcs and a miscommunication between social media and someone’s actual life was very impressively laid out, I think both the main characters were relatable and had a lot of deep emotions to not only the family but friends and their connections with other people were very warm. I also liked how the female lead come from the porn industry but she’s not ashamed about it, she’s not doing it because she needed money she’s doing it because she enjoys it and she enjoys her body . I also love the Christmas aspect of this book. This may be now a autobuy author. The ending was great, and the pacing in the book was dead on.

Thank you to @Netgalley and Harper Collins for this arc in exchange for an honest review!

I've been waiting to read this since September for Christmas time so I could finally read it, and I really enjoyed it!

There's some things in this book which I simply adore - a plus sized female lead in a romance, a bisexual male lead character?? Who knew these things were allowed in m/f romance books. There needs to be more rep like this, and I'm here for it!

That being said, it isn't really a Christmas books. It could've been read any time of year which made me feel a little let down with just how long I'd been waiting to read this one. As a general romance, it was good! There was some tones of insta-love towards the middle of the book which did bore me a little, but if that's something you enjoy, this would be perfect!

I did like the concept of the main female love interest being a adult film star and how that dynamic would work, but I did feel it got a little repetitive towards the middle of the book - it sometimes felt as though that was her only personality and in a book that felt as though it was supposed to be based on positivity, the shame that was directed around Bee being an adult film star, did seem a little contradictory.

A gorgeous, fun, flirty christmas read! Devoured it in a couple of days! I’m a big julie murphy fan, she is the queen of plus size female characters so combine that with some sierra simone spice and you’re onto a winner!

Wanting some Hallmark Christmas goodness but with steam, steam and more steam? Then look no further than this gem!

Ever since reading The Intimacy Experiment I've been on the look out for adult film actresses who want to try something outside their known job.
Just like the above this was an overall winner that contained the following:

Ex boy band member ✔️
Plus size representation ✔️
Body worship ✔️
Confident heroine ✔️
Hero smitten from first IRL glance ✔️
Mental health representation ✔️
Cosy Christmas vibes ✔️

It really was Christmas in a book and I for one would love to see this adapted into movie haha
The side characters especially Nolans ex boy band members are ones whose backstories and future lovestories I'd adore to see.

5 candy cane stars

The chemistry between these characters was phenomenal, I could feel their desire for each other from the moment they met, which I find unusual. I think it helped that there was quite a bit of lust in the beginning. I wasn't so keen on the long sex scenes, they were a bit too much for this asexual but the rest of the relationship was fantastic.

I was very happy with the body positivity in this book. I should have expected no less from Dumplin' author, Julie Murphy, but Bee is fat and proud of it. The book was also very gay with the two Bisexual main characters and numerous side characters being LGBTQ+.

If I could sum up this book in one word, it would be positive. It was sex positive, body positive and diverse. It was a joy to read because it unashamedly championed all of the above and more. It left me feeling like the world could be changed into a more positive place.
