Marlee is an introverted librarian who has been invited to a destination wedding. Matteo is the best man. Marlee hates weddings after being dumped at the altar. The bride is the typical bridzilla making the event even more stressful. Matteo helps Marlee through the event. The reader can see Marlee come out of her shell and her character develop as her confidence increases. An enjoyable light read.

I really felt for Marlee in this story, she seems like she doesn't fit in with her friends, she seems very genuine and caring and they came across as not caring at all, I get that they were portraying her friend as a bridezilla but didnt really see any redeeming features to her.

I enjoyed the story of Marlee and liked how she came into her own and realised her own self worth. This was a enjoyable read.

Bridesmaid Marlee hates weddings after being left at the altar. Billionaire best man Matteo avoids love after a devastating loss. But at a wedding in the Bahamas they find themselves giving in to their unexpected chemistry. Only when the ‘I do’s’ have been said, and their different worlds beckon, will the magic of the island make separating impossible? I went into it expecting a romance story and got so much more. It transports you into another land where you can forget your real life worries.

I would like to thank Netgalley, Mills and Boon and Cara Colter for the E ARC of this book.
Marlee has been asked by her best friend to be a bridesmaid at her wedding on a destination island. The only thing is Marlee hates weddings and she is not getting to see her dress until she arrives. Her friend has had the dresses made to suit the personalities of her bridesmaids.
Matteo is the best man, he meets Marlee on his first night on the island and they share a lovely time on the beach. They are drawn to each other and both need someone to help them through the wedding.
I liked both main characters, I loved seeing Marlee come out of her shell and grow. Matteo was such a nice man and as he got to know Marlee he wanted to help her. Their friendship was so nice and the fact that they wanted to help each other enjoy the wedding was endearing. I found the bride a pain, she was so overbearing and demanding. I didn’t like that she wanted Marlee to do everything and she just took her for granted. I liked that the story carried on after the wedding.
A nice read and one I enjoyed.

A perfectly pleasant read, but I really disliked the bride and the way she treated everyone - especially the heroine.

Given an ARC from NetGalley and the published. My review is honest and sincere.

Such a feel good romance. Set in the Bahamas on a beautiful island, Marlee and Matteo meet as part of an island wedding. We read how buttoned up librarian Marlee learns to undo a few buttons and like and feel proud of herself. The freedom of the island doesn’t work so well for Matteo and their future isn’t certain. The loved up donkeys, alongside the neurotic bride add great character and humour making this a fun, lovely read.
