A cutesy romantic get-together, and made even more enjoyable because it's the man's son who is trying to find love for his Dad! A proper beach-read that will warm your heart all the way through.

An entertaining tale of love, family and friends. Easy listening, great for a sunny day in the garden.

I listened to the audiobook version of this story.

A pleasant listen about Emily, a journalist, that reunites with childhood sweetheart Calvin.

Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins for letting me review this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Brilliant Narrator and fabulous book, how life can play out sometimes but we always end up on the right path.
Sometimes we don't get straight to it as we have life to live and experience. This book is a wonderful example of that. I definitely recommend this book.

I walk everyday for at least a mile. This has been my companion for the past month. I am sorry to say goodbye to Emily, Calvin and Isaac. This audio book was such a joy to listen to.
Calvin and Emily both were chickens. And because of this they missed out of a wonderful chance of happiness.

Isaac, Calvin's son, knew just what he had to do to make his Dad happy again. Calvin could either clobber him or go along with his plan.

The characters were wonderful and so realistic. I would love to move to their small town. Yes, everyone knew everyone's business but they loved and cared for their neighbors. A real sense of community.

I highly recommend this story. It was a joy to listen to.

I have heard quite a bit of chatter about this book and getting the opportunity to listen to the audio version I can see why.

The story is so beautiful, coming from the loss to finding the happiness

The narrator beautifully told the story and I felt the emotion from the voice.

My first book by Rachel Dove & I thoroughly enjoyed. Really fell in love with the main characters from the off. A real feel good rom com - chick lit. Loved the easy flow of the story.. Many, many funny laugh out loud moments. I have even bookmarked several sections to revisit!

Narration is superb & i listened to this book in 2 days!

My one query that caused me confusion and loses a star for me is the title. I could not see the connection ?

Thanks to NetGalley& Harper Collins for the advance copy of this audio book.in exchange for my honest review.

Oh I did enjoy this audiobook!
The narrator was great too.
The story was a romance which had a history and the problem that we all have of not telling people how you feel, been there…

The writing was very down to earth, no amazing prose, just a great story written with lots of love in it!
There were some fabulous one liners which I wish I had written down to use as they were hysterical!
Already downloaded a previous book by the author!
Highly recommended for a weekend treat.

A feel good story especially the scenery was a wonderful in the cottage. I love this scene.
Story was refreshing about Emily , finding a warm romantic relationship. Has ups and down and story wasn’t as orig, but well written. Really great ending too.

I absolutely loved this story, couldn't stop listening. A heartwarming story of grief, heartbreak and moving on. Lovely characters, all really strong, and a great story of unrequited love from years gone by, can it be rekindled? A joy to read/listen.

Narrator 5 stars

Story 3 stars
The opening to this book was 5 stars. I absolutely loved the 11 year old and his idea of how to help his dad. I thought this was going to be a new take on Sleepless In Seattle, but unfortunately for me the story didn't really focus on the opening but instead two old friends.

**For publisher only, not my public review **
While this story was ok, personally I wouldn't recommend this book to someone who reads more than 20 books a year, but I would recommend it to the people who read on holidays once or twice a year.

This is a sweet, feel good romantic book about Emily and Calvin, who are drawn together when they meet up again years after they knew each other as children. I found the book to be uplifting and easy to read, and it helped me to feel better for a few days while I was doing the school runs.

The narrator of the book had a nice voice, and she was easy to listen to. Highly recommended!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

Clavin Albright has returned to his hometown with his son Isaac for a fresh start after losing his wife. He bumps into his highschool best friend Emily. Emily is engaged but clearly rethinking her life and choices. Little Isaac decides to give his Dad a helping hand to get him back into dating and uploads a video putting his Dad out their. He gets Emily to help him and she writes a newspaper article that leads to Calvin becoming the latest hot gossip among the ladies.

A really fun and quick listen full of romance and laughs. Once you start you don't want to stop. You get pulled in by these loveable characters and it has such a good storyline. One to get your heart bouncing for love for sure!

Thank you Netgalley and HarperCollins UK Audio for the opportunity to review this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

A lovely story, beautifully narrated. This book covers many aspects of human feelings and with the addition of a small boy to help romance along, is an absolutely charming story.

The Forever House by Rachel Dove
Narrated by Emma Wilkes

I received an advance review copy for free thanks to NetGalley and HarperCollins UK and I am leaving this review voluntarily

Emily Hendrickson is tired of being the wedding guest and never the bride. Working at her local paper as a wedding columnist, she can’t wait to write her own happy-ever-after.

When she bumps into her childhood sweetheart Calvin Albright, her world is knocked off balance. Calvin has returned to the quiet town of Hebblestone desperate for a fresh start. After his wife tragically died two years ago, he wants nothing more than to find a new home and settle down with his son, Isaac.

Isaac can see how lonely his dad is – he’s determined to help him find love again and complete their family…

First, let me start by saying do not judge a book by its title - this is not about a house. A lovely read about a second chance at romance following the death of Calvin's wife. An enjoyable, heart-warming read ideal for a lazy afternoon of reading. I listened to this as an audiobook and it was very easy to just listen for hours on end.

Rating 4/5

I can not connetct the story to the title. It was an intersting read about a woman searching for approvals and a woman needed lovea woman giving so much love that also hurt but was all nice at the end. We all can be there wishing for something that is unreachable. I still belive that things happen for a reason on the right time.

Thank you Harper Collins audio and Netgalley for the audio copy.

Looking for an easy summer read I think this is perfect. The characters are so relatable, I mean don't we all want to be noticed by our true love? I love the childhood sweetheart /second chances angle to this, its a romantic and beautiful storyline. #netgalley #TheForeverHouse
