Une lecture vraiment parfaite. J'aime tout de suzanne wright et à chaque fois l'attente en vaut la peine. Elle ne déçoit jamais.

I really enjoyed this book.

Suzanne Wright is an instant-download author for me. I love everything she writes, and this was no exception.

Things That Stood Out:
- The author typically writes her characters to be alphas in every sense of the word. The men are always beyond powerful, alpha-male hard asses who would die for their women. The women are always sarcastic, extremely self-aware badasses with extra powers that make them stand out.
In this case, Piper wasn't. She was still a badass and extremely sarcastic and fun, but she was what I would consider a typical demon, without an extra oomph that made her stand out from the rest. I really liked this about her. She was different in a normal way (well as normal as an entity that shared a soul with a demon could be). Piper had to rely on others to save her in the end, and I could get behind it. I get that some readers found her to be boring, but I found her to be more relatable.

- The plot. This read more like a mystery/who-done-it. It kept me guessing the entire way through and I was 100% wrong in the end.

Another great addition to the Dark in You universe. Seriously Suzanne can do no wrong here, I love getting to revisit the world and characters and I really loved getting to know more about Levi and meeting Piper. It was another fun read with the perfect balance of action and spice.

Suzanne Wright writes top tier paranormal romance and this was another solid entry in her Dark in You series. I loved the sister’s ex-boyfriend twist and I can’t wait for more books to come in this world.

Thanks to Piatkus and NetGalley for the copy to review.

Great addition to the series, love the characterization and world building. In particular, I think doing a slow burn romance was a nice change from the style of writing that typically occurs in Wright's books.

As always another great book by one of my favorite authors! Her books are always on my must get pile. Cannot wait until the next one comes out!

I’ve been waiting for Levi’s story!!! It didn’t disappoint! I love him even more now. Pipper is an awesome heroine! I loved how she fit in with the gang perfectly!

Another 5 star book in the Dark In You series. SW is batting 100 at this point.

If Piper Winslow was asked to predict who her anchor could possibly be, she never would she have guessed it would be Levi Cutler. Being used to coming second and putting other people first, Piper doesn’t want the headache that will come with an unrequited attraction to an anchor that also happens to be her stepsister’s ex. But that attraction is anything but unrequited and when danger starts swirling around Piper, Levi is determined to keep Piper safe at all cost.

Piper was such a great heroine; I knew I would love her but I was not expecting to adore her as much as I did. She had this layer of vulnerability borne of her upbringing that we don’t see as much with other SW’s heroines and I loved that about her; especially because it did not once take away from her strength.

Levi always peeked my curiosity in the previous Dark In You books. As Knox’s right hand man, we got to see him give Knox advice here and there on his relationship, acting as the voice of reason sometimes. I was interested in seeing if Levi would be as reasonable and insightful when roles were reversed. Spoiler alert, he was just as possessive as Knox. He had that single minded focus of putting Piper first and eff everything else. I really enjoyed diving deeper into his character and learning about his past.

Not going to lie, I was little apprehensive about the whole stepsibling’s ex situation, cause I’m not that much of a fan of ex’s anything, but I need not have worried. The chemistry between Levi and Piper is evident from the get go. Though they both try to fight it and reduce it to just a physical one, their connection continues to grow. I liked that they both had things to overcome given their past, giving a more organic feel to the growth of their relationship.

The book had the classic SW mystery threaded throughout as Levi and Piper tried to figure out the threat. It was action packed, well written and just an all-round a great read.

I love that we get to keep up with the other previous characters and see where they are in life; I mean Devon and Tanner having a baby *wipestear* and my little man Asher is growing up so fast! We also get littler taster scenes for Teague and Larkin, that had me that much more intrigued for their book, thank god its the next book in the series.

I still can't quite put my finger on what made this installment one of my favorite books in Suzanne Wright's "Dark in You" series, but I was hooked right from the start! I think a part of it was the fact that Piper's character was new and not someone we'd met in books past (wait - did we meet her before?? Oh geez...now I gotta go re-read the others to check). The introduction of Piper, who had somewhat of a 'history' (if you can call it that) with Levi, was refreshing and brought a new dimension/flavor to the Dark In You world and the characters therein. As in her other books, the chemistry between the two main characters (Piper and Levi) is explosive and I really enjoyed how their relationship evolved throughout the book.

And giiiiiiirl... lemme tell ya', homegirl sure knows how to write some hot, steamy, down and dirty sex scenes - I mean, damn Gina!!!! Got me all hot and bothered!!

Highly recommend this book to those who are fans of Suzanne Wrights and/or new to the author. She rocks and this book did NOT disappoint.

Read all the other books in this series first… in order… because while this book technically can be a stand alone, there is no reason not fully enjoy all the characters this book has to offer. Seriously. And then buy all her other books too. You won’t regret it. Happy reading!

4 ‘My Anchor. My Mate. My Everything’ Stars

HOT D@MN!!!! Suzanne Wright sure knows how to simultaneously surprise and enrapture us! Levi and Piper’s story was as steamy, sexy, funny, action and suspense packed, and addicting as it’s usual in her Dark In You series, my all time favourite PNR. I can’t get enough of these guys!!!

Piper being Levi’s anchor and mate sure was surprising, given she was a new character, but I loved that, just introduced some new freshness to the series and a new dynamic. I wished though that she was also new to Levi’s life, because her being his ex’s sister is one of my PERSONAL pet peeves, but well, if someone could make me love a book aside from that it’s Ms. Wright.

As usual, I DEVOURED this book in one sitting, it’s THAT addictive! Levi is of course, an alpha with capital L, and I adored how obsessed he was with Piper. Yes, I wish he had opened his eyes sooner and gotten with the program, lol, but hey, at least he realised in time all she was to him – His Everything.

Of course I got my fix of this gang, who I adore so much, they are the most kick@ss bunch of all time, so to say I’m dying for not only Teague and Larkin’s story, but also all these intriguing Ancients in Devil’s Cradle!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

LOVED!!!!!!! HOLY MOLY HANNAH MONTANA!

I enjoyed this book so much. I absolutely loved Levi and Piper's relationship and how it progressed. It was beyond perfect and I seriously cannot get enough of how amazing Suzanne is at staying true to her characters throughout her series.

This wonderfully wicked lady never fails to deliver the absolute best always. I'm equal parts envious and in awe of her mind. Bahaha.

Finally we get the quiet brooding Reaper. And he was not at all what I expected but not in a bad way. Just different. I was surprised.

Levi is like all the hero's suzanne write, a force to be reckoned with. However he isn't as in your face overwhelmingly alpha like I anticipated. I mean he does have his sneaky moments but as a whole he's far more chilled than I expected. His outwardly nonchalant act was EVERYTHING. He for sure played down his dominance but in a way that made it seem he just didn't care enough to show anyone just how lethal he was. He was funny, and oh so sexy and surprisingly unprepared for how to deal with his need for Piper. I enjoyed the hell out of a perplexed Levi.

Piper was a no nonsense go with the flow kind of gal. If I were to say who she reminded me of most I'd probably say Raini just simply because she just hung back and appeared pretty chilled. However her wit was perfection. I loved that she was very self aware and not afraid to seek help when she needed it. She wasn't overly pride full or in your face dominant but she had a quiet strength and an ease about her that made her fitting in with these huge crazy characters super organic with her trying. Oh and I just love me a woman who stands for her self and she did that and then some.

Levi and Pipers journey is definitely the most laid back of all the strories in this series and by far the most frustrating. I kind of wanted to bang their heads together a few times to shake off their stupid. But it was also refreshing to see a different dynamic that wasn't all push and pull but instead flowed naturally until they were just them. Plus the chemistry is HAWTTTT. Factoring in past relationship/sister angle definitely made is all the most intriguing. Levi definitely made his mark being a total book boyfriend alpha when he stood for Piper for sure!!.

As always with this crazy bunch of characters, you laugh till your guts hurt and they make you want to throttle them dead but nevertheless I was completely consumed in their world. In the characters and what would be. Character development and plot progression is always superb with a suzanne wright book and this is absolutely no different here and she definitely had me surprised a time or too along the way with the directions she took.

Levi and Piper had me feeling all the feels and then some. I love the connection between the Anchor bond to mating, Its my FAVOURITE thing because it feels right between the characters and it means there is already a foundation to build from.

I am so excited for Larkin and Teague's story. I have a feeling its going to be one filled with a whole lot of love to hate and Teague nearly being murder more times than loved on and I am so ready for it!!.

You when you read one of these books it's going to be a hot mess in the best ways. Also I do love a hot drop in from Lou!. I'm now wondering when Mrs Suzanne is going to stop teasing us and give us a book with him and Jolene... Lord knows all that hate to love energy is giving us LIFE and they just need to do the horizontal tango.

I LOVED IT. Now I'm going to slip into a massive book depression waiting for her next release. The bookhangover is REAL.

Another great book by Suzanne Wright. She is able to create new storylines and interesting characters, and give you enough detail so that you feel like you’re in the story.

Reaper is the latest, eight book in The Dark in You series. Story focuses on demon Levi, whose past begins to weave into the present. Levi tries to find out who is killing single mothers in his lair, and discover his passion for tattoo artist Piper, harassed by stalker.
There s a lot of good stuff in this book: I liked Levi a lot, his posessivnes, dominancy, Piper was strong and independent woman, someone doing a lot of good despite being Nightmare demon. All mentions of old characters from previous books was great, like meeting like long unseen friends
Perhaps some readers will be disappointed in some of the threads, the books in these series have some recurring things. I have to admit that I don't mind it, I really like Suzanne Wright's writing style and I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

*thank you to the publisher for giving me this arc in exchange for an honest review :) *

i didn’t mesh with this book and i’m bummed because i’ve loved all of the books in this series (i’m even pumped for the ones after this book)

my main concern was the lack of “oomph”. i couldn’t get myself to stay interested and the characters weren’t strong enough for me. they read as side characters and there wasn’t enough personality nor passion for each of them. well…levi had his moments but even then i felt as though we were missing parts of levi being a badass. i still felt like i didn’t learn much about him.

2/5 stars

Well worth the long wait. Levi and Piper were everything i dreamed they could be. Though at one point it was absolutely heartbreaking what they both went through (even though they didn't need to) to get to where they eventually ended up <3

Love love love Suzanne wright! This is the 8th book in the dark in you series and one of my favourites.
Levi has always been a mystery and it was finally time to find out about him and I was not disappointed.
Levi dated pipers stepsister 6 years ago( Celeste hated her) and Piper was instantly into him but unfortunately heard a conversation between the stepsister and Levi and didn't have anything to do with him until they learn they are anchors, I loved how Levi was all in and tried to give piper time to come around ha ( for like 1 day)

I did get a bit frustrated in the middle but I just wanted them to talk and be together already lol

I really didn't have a clue who the bad guy was and was completely shocked, it had a great twist.

The brand omg the brand (all I'm going to say is the death song haha) genius.

I definitely enjoyed seeing all the gang again, hope we get a book about the future kids khloe and Keenan's kids will be awesome.
