Well worth the long wait. Levi and Piper were everything i dreamed they could be. Though at one point it was absolutely heartbreaking what they both went through (even though they didn't need to) to get to where they eventually ended up <3

Love love love Suzanne wright! This is the 8th book in the dark in you series and one of my favourites.
Levi has always been a mystery and it was finally time to find out about him and I was not disappointed.
Levi dated pipers stepsister 6 years ago( Celeste hated her) and Piper was instantly into him but unfortunately heard a conversation between the stepsister and Levi and didn't have anything to do with him until they learn they are anchors, I loved how Levi was all in and tried to give piper time to come around ha ( for like 1 day)

I did get a bit frustrated in the middle but I just wanted them to talk and be together already lol

I really didn't have a clue who the bad guy was and was completely shocked, it had a great twist.

The brand omg the brand (all I'm going to say is the death song haha) genius.

I definitely enjoyed seeing all the gang again, hope we get a book about the future kids khloe and Keenan's kids will be awesome.

I’m so happy, Levi’s story is the one I wanted most once the focus on Harper and Knox was finished, Knox will always be my favourite (well actually Harper but as a leading man it’s Knox) but Levi I think it’s that we don’t get too much and he was always intriguing to me. I can definitely say I wasn’t disappointed, this book was everything I hoped for and more, I loved Piper, I dread when I don’t like the one they’re paired with, but she’s amazing, the chemistry, Levi proved to be almost as alpha as Knox, I just loved it. I can’t recommend this enough to everyone

Levi and Piper were straight-up fire! Their story has excellent angst because Levi is the ex-boyfriend of Piper's stepsister (they didn't date for long and he wasn't really into her) and amazing tension from how hard Levi and Piper tried to hold back from each other. Once they gave it, they were explosive!

As this series goes on we keep getting men that give Knox a run for his money!

Levi and Piper are shockingly each other’s anchor. Major surprise considering she has known him for a while. He even dated her slore “sister”. That fact alone complicates things in her mind. Levi’s not so much.

The comedy alone keeps me coming back for more in each book but I also like the suspense and of course the romance.

This book will keep you entertained from page 1. You won’t be able to put it down and be sad when it’s over!

Another fantastic story in this series.

I never thought I’d say it but I think Suzanne has written her first fairly sane female character in this series! I mean, don’t get me wrong there’s definitely a little crazy in there too but Piper is actually really levelheaded. She’s smart, sassy, got a take no s##t attitude but she’s not quick to react and thinks things through. I warmed to her instantly and enjoyed her story immensely.

Levi is pure alpha male, almost at Knox’s level of alpha bada@s. He’s gives off don’t mess with me vibes just with his mere presence.

The story flows really well, I didn’t have an inkling who the serial killer was so that was a surprise. The action balanced well with all the family drama. The chemistry and connection between Levi and Piper was immense. The heat was off the charts and the intimate scenes were original and super spicy.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story from start to finish, definitely one you won’t want to put down.

Levi has lived a long and hard life. It started in tragedy and seemed to steamroll downhill until he met his chosen family in an orphanage for demon children. Work and work are all that have mattered to him and he is good at it. Relationships are a no and everything is surface level. Until Piper came into his life. He cant hace her but that does not stop the wanting. Piper has been attracted to Levi since he was involved with her sister but he is off limits. So when the unthinkable happens and they find out they are anchors their worlds are turned upside-down. Attraction and desire surrounds them, but so does danger. Someone is after Piper and Levi's past has made an appearance. Life for the pair is far from easy and their story is action pact, dangerous and sizzling! You won't want to miss it!

A Suzanne Wright classic. I loved it, and hope to never see this world and its stories come to an end.
Really looking forward to Teague and Larkin's book.

I’ve wanted to read Levi’s book from the very first scene in Burn when it opens with him fighting in the combat ring. He sounded so hot and I just loved his calm, cool, competent personality as we got to know him more. I’m so happy that it was his turn and that he has his happily-ever-after now! Reaper completely lived up to my expectations and I absolutely loved it!

I was excited that Levi’s heroine wasn’t someone that we had really met before other the brief mention we get at the end of Fallen. I liked his fiend Ella, but I didn’t get romantic vibes from them, so I was really happy that the heroine was Piper and I couldn’t wait to meet her, especially with the whole Levi had had a fling with her stepsister thing. Granted, that’s not usually ideal, but it was short, casual, and a good chunk of time had passed between the end of it and the start of Piper and Levi’s relationship. Suzanne Wright handled it so well and it was minimal angst when it came to that.

There was a tiny bit of angst to Reaper, but it was the good kind. I loved when Piper and Levi were together, but I also did enjoy when they resisting each other like fools too. Reaper was such a wonderful, fun time with some fun mysteries, awesome action/fight scenes, and good steamy, sweet, cute moments. I loved Levi and Piper together and on their own — I just really adored this book and I can’t wait to read finally read Larkin and Teague’s book next!

5 stars!!

I love this world, and the characters it was so good to be back in it again. I was hooked from beginning to the end.

Levi was so worth the wait. I think I say this about each character, but it's true I'm never disappointed there hasn't been a book this author has written that hasn't had me glued to the pages.

Piper was interesting. I have been intrigued in the nightmare breed and what powers and abilities they might have, shes perfect for Levi. I like it that they are anchors. She fitted in perfectly with the girls, and it will be interesting what she brings to the dynamic in future books.

These two were fire together; the steam had steam lol...seriously, though Levi is yummy and naughty.

The storyline was gripping; there was a lot happening.

A new character is introduced towards the end, not going saying more because of spoilers.

The only negative thing I have to say is that it ended, and now the wait begins for the next one I can't wait for Larkin and Teague.

I enjoyed my visit to this world

Love, love, loved Levi and Piper’s book. This series goes from strength to strength. The chemistry between them sizzled like hot oil in a pan and exploded in an all consuming combustion. Lots of action, great plot with the villain being someone unexpected which kept you on the edge of your seat. Suzanne is a master at hot, steamy sexy times and Levi proved to be all that and a bag of chips. I loved his inner demon just as much as Levi, it is a hot alpha of its very own. Piper was a confident female main character, I did like the fact that she let Levi take care of her in dangerous situations and didn’t put herself at risk by being a tough woman. I liked that she knew how important his position was and didn’t try to smother him. Loved all the interaction with side and previous characters. Looking forward to the next book.

As with all the books in this series, Suzanne's worldbuilding is incredible! Reaper is Levi and Piper's story. These two have know each other for a long time and just realized they were each other's anchor (the one person who can keep a demon from going rogue). That they both wanted more was one of the internal struggles for both of them. This book focused more on the two coming together and their emotional struggles. They both have a lot of history to wade through. This being said there is still a lot of action - demons are a tad bit crazy.

Of course we get to see most of the characters who have been in previous books. This is always a joy. Asher and Khloe are awesome every time they appear. I hope this series goes on for a long time. Thank you Suzanne for a great read.

This series and this universe in general mean so much to me. I fell in love with this world and it’s characters with Harper and Knox’s story and I never fell out of it. And it doesn’t come as a surprise to me that I still feel the same after this book.
The dynamics between all of those characters, the fact that we keep in touch with all of the previous couples even in a small way, the action, the plot and theorizing, the steam… everything made me enjoy this book and want to know more about everything going on in this world.
I literally cannot wait to find out how Larkin and Teague’s story will unfold.

What a great book. Levi and Piper's romance is a total scream. Levi's anchor is the step sister of an old emitted girl friend, whom he has secretly lusted over for years. Though Piper has lusted and fantasied about Levi for years she has doubts that what they feel is real, after all he did tell her sister that she wasn't his type.

Mixed in with the romance is an intriguing plot of someone trying to kill Piper, someone who has no enemies.

We get flashes of the other couples throughout the book even Devon and Tanner's baby..

Suzanne's characters are as interesting as when we first meet them in Dark in you. She has managed to keep each story line authentic to the main couple as well as intermixing the romance with the threat of murder and magic.
Cant wait for the next book.
Thankyou

⭐️ 3.75 ⭐️

- the characters:

I always liked Levi in the previous books. He was committed to his job, took his responsibilities seriously and was a good friend to Knox, Tanner and all the other people in his life he deemed important.

Piper was quite the sweet heroine. She helped her pride with her abilities if she could, but she did take a little to much shit from other people for my liking. Especially from her step-sister, that woman was just simply narcissistic. She understood Levi and his commitment’s well and didn’t push him to make her his whole world.

- the plot:

I read all of the Dark in You books, but Reaper is the “worst” so far. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a good book.. but I found the previous ones to simply be better. I liked the storyline, how protective and committed Levi was towards Piper, that we got to see Harper and the girls and other characters from the series, but somehow I found it a bit lacking. I don’t know what was missing, but something just did.

- summary:

Will I read the next books in this series? Yes, I will.
Would I read this book again? Yes, I would.
Would I recommend it? Yes, I would.. I love and read all of Suzanne Wright’s books.

With Reaper it’s a welcome return to the wonderful paranormal world that Suzanne Wright has created. Set in Las Vegas where demons hide in plain sight, it’s filled with fantastic characters who are all strong willed, sarcastic females and alpha men with plots that are filled with strong, humorous, family dynamics, witty banter and lots of sexy times.

Knox’s sentinels are falling like ninepins and it’s the turn of reaper Levi to meet in match and in his case he’s hit with the double whammy of his mate Piper also being his anchor but there’s history there after he once dated her stepsister who isn’t going to like her hated sibling getting together with a man she still considers as hers. Thrown in a plot involving a serial killer returned from the grave with a personal connection to Levi and an invisible stalker hunting Piper I couldn’t read this book fast enough. As usual Harper and the rest of the gang are around to offer up their help and suggestions but I have to say I when it comes to the character of Khloe this author has outdone herself. She gets some of the funniest dialogue I’ve ever read even if some of the words are completely made up including pooportunity and constipangry.

Please Suzanne don’t ever stop writing. You truly are one of the few authors that I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve re-read or re-listened to your books so much so I could probably recite huge parts of them from memory but somehow every read or listen is like the first time all over again and they always brighten my mood and leave me smiling if not outright laughing.

Great reading, I loved the story and the plot, Suzanne knows how to maker her readers wants more of her books !!
Piper is definitely one of my favorite character, and it was so good knowing more about Levi, since the beginning, he was such a mystery to me, not knowing anything about him.
Levi and Piper are good together and even if she's a badass on her own, she knows when to ask for help from Levi and I really liked that about her, and also her life hadn't been easy with Celeste.

I think the description of Piper anchoring her stepsister’s ex-boyfriend is a bit misleading. The relationship with Celeste wasn’t exclusive or very long. Piper is a great person unfortunately things in her life have lead to her bearing all her burdens alone. Levi is set to change that. He doesn’t shy away from being her anchor and has every intention of being what she needs.

Even with accepting their bond, things aren’t smooth for them. People want to come between them and Piper has someone trying to kill her. The killer that is being hunted and the person who tried to kill he’d both came as a surprise to me.

As with all Suzanne books, I LOVED Levi & Piper's story. Suzanne keeps me intrigued with the need and hunger that these characters have for each other. I like the push and pull of their attraction and reluctance to be hurt.

Piper, like Suzanne's other heroines, stands on her own, is her own person and doesn't fold under Levi's dominating personality. Levi actually sees her and understands her need to be her own person.

Of course the sex is HOT HOT HOT! The psychic hold, similar to Knox's, is SO 🔥🥵!

I wish I could go back and reread it and be able to enjoy the story anew. ❤️❤️❤️
