Reaper is the eighth installment in the Dark in You series by Suzanne Wright. This one features Levi-one of Knox’s sentinels and Piper- the step sister of an ex bed buddy. I have some pretty mixed emotions on this one.
I was quite surprised to see how different their story was from the previous couples. Yes I can always count on Suzanne to deliver possessive heroes and badass heroines. However, this felt more like a suspense novel with some steamy romance thrown in. So much time was spent trying to figure out who the bad guy was. In regards to Piper and Levi forming a close relationship- it was more tell, less show. It was just no comparison to the relationship we got to see build between Knox and Harper or Tanner and Devon for that matter.
Piper has to be one of the most relatable heroines in this series so far. Despite being a literal Nightmare, Piper is a people pleaser. She voiced a lot of doubts and fears going into her relationship with Levi that I could also completely relate to.
One of the things I love about this author is her imagination when it comes to the demon brands. Every couple has the branding come up in interesting and very sexy ways. Always surprises me and I love that! I wish we got to see more acts of possession in this one but they can’t all be as intense as Knox.
I loved that we are still kept in the loop with the past couples and of course Ash!
I loved hearing more about Larkin and can’t wait to read her book! Teague will make one hell of a mate❤️My only fear is that it will feature a lot of Khloe. Probably my least favorite heroine since I had such a hard time connecting with the character.

I love this book. Suzanne does a great job of making every book in a series different without losing what makes the series special. I really liked how the characters interact and you can see some growth from characters from previous books. Some of the book I spent shaking my head at how determined Levi was to deny the obvious. It was great to see Suzanne name one of her characters after a big Levi fan and make her his friend even if we only heard about her.

Thank you NetGalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK for this tree read.I loved this book. Both Levi and Piper were amazing. It was nice to get to know about a new character Piper.I am a big fan of Suzzane Wright books and I am really excited about the next book in this series.

I loved loved loved this book!
Piper and Levi were fabulous together, and watching them figure out their relationship to each other was highly entertaining. The book was great in that the storyline didn't go exactly as I expected and there was a bit of a whodunnit element. All in all, it gave you romance, humor, suspense, mystery, and some steamy bow chicka bow wow.
Two thumbs way way up!

Suzanne Wright does such a good job of writing angsty romance with a decent suspense that deals with some heavy, intense topics but also gives us a lot of levity as well. I really enjoyed all aspects of Reaper. Levi and Piper are a good pairing and their romance is exactly the kind of angsty romance I enjoy, you know everything is going to work out in the end, but their road to their Happy Ever After isn't an easy one. I also loved that guessing the "bad guy" in this one was not obvious and I was able to be surprised by who it was and why. Suzanne Wright consistently writes books that I love to lose myself in for a few hours - they have everything I could want in a romance!

I was provided with an arc of this book by netgalley.
Let me start off with saying I have been waiting for Levi's story since the first Dark in me book and it did not disappoint. Levi and Piper might be my second favourite couple (no one beats Harper and Knox for me), their story is so amazing, at first I thought it would be another anchor-love story but it's so much better. I have over 250 highlights in this book because there were so many cute scenes between them. I absolutely love Levi's demon and how possessive it was over Piper, Levi really took no shit. Piper is an amazing heroine, I was hoping Levi's mate/anchor would be strong and she really is.
One of my favourite quotes is " He gripped her chin. You're not gonna die. I'd never fucking allow it."
I lovedd seeing the gang again and their partners, Asher is still adorable and I really hope we get his book, I need to see how powerful he becomes and what demon will make him obsessed... secretly hoping Maddox and Raini have a girl later.
Suzanne Wright kills it with her series and I cannot wait for Larkins book I'm so glad we finally saw more of her in this book.

Completely Immersive Storytelling!📚👿💍🔥💥
A 4.5 Star Read.🌟
Reaper (Dark in You #8)
I'd like to thank #Netgally and #LittleBrownBookGroupUK #lbbguk for this advanced readers copy of #Reaper #DarkInYou8
I really fell for both of the main characters. Levi is a Reaper Demon and Sentinel and Piper is a Nightmare Demon and Tattoo Artist.😍
She's had the hots for Levi since he briefly dated her self centred step sister six years before. They've been in the same circles rarely since, but she always feels a tug of instant attraction whenever she lays eye's on him!🔥 Levi has wanted Piper since he first met her, when he was unfortunately tangled up with her manipulative step sister, Celeste. He's kept his distance because of her age and the family ties it would complicate for her. His Demon isn't happy about the situation! Then he's on duty as the Prime's bodyguard when they bump into each other, he can't tear his eyes away from her and as she's saying a casual goodbye to his entire group then him, their minds briefly connect. Time seems to stop for them both as they realize what they are to each other, they're their Anchors!💥
What follows is the building of a secure friendship and more, eventually much more!🔥 Along side their budding relationship is the backdrop of serial murders that have a very personal connection to Levi from his childhood! Other things are afoot, Piper seems to be being targeted by vandals and then it's physical attacks. Both things start escalating side by side!
I absolutely loved this story. I was swept up in all of the threads, I enjoyed how immersed I became. I'm so happy to report I had no idea who the 'baddy' was, my guesses didn't come close for once!👍 It had good world building and fabulous side characters. I loved Khlöe and Larkin.😍 This Author is pretty new to me, this is only my second book by her, it won't be my last.🌟

Reaper is book 8 in Suzanne Wright's Dark in You series and it might be her best book yet! Just like the previous books in this series, Reaper is the perfect blend of romance and plot with characters you're bound to fall in love with and humor woven throughout. I admit that this book didn't go the way I expected it to but I adored it nonetheless.
Piper was an excellent female main character. She is smart and strong and yet knows when to accept help from others, which is very refreshing in this genre. I really loved Levi in this book and think that he and Piper really compliment each other. As always, Suzanne Wright's characters are beautifully written with realistic flaws and strengths.
I never want this series to end and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves paranormal romance!
Thank you to NetGalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. My review will be posted on Goodreads on the publication date.

The most anticipated book on my TBR list is finally here and it was everything I was hoping for and more!
Finally finally we get to read about Levi and his anchor and wow this book was so worth the wait since we got introduced to Levis character.
Piper has come a long way since she had her crush on her step sisters ex boyfriends Levi. She knows that She is definitely not his type. When their minds touch for the first time and they find out that they are anchors, she flees. But Levi isn’t a person who gives up on what is his.
Chemistry between the two is through the roof in this action packed PNR by my favorite author Suzanne Wright. She sure knows how the make the males all alpha, possessive, protective and amazing.

I’m so excited that Levi’s story is finally out and it was beyond expectation!
Finally!!! The 8th book of the dark in you series is out and it’s all about my favorite dominant male, Levi and his anchor Piper.
Piper is one of Levis exes stepsister and finding out that she’s his anchor was a surprise to both of them. With it comes a ton of other drama from Pipers step sister who is known to cause drama.
While Piper and Levi figure everything out, there is someone out there who’s put a target on Pipers back. Levi will do anything to protect his anchor.
This book has it all, an alpha male who’s protective and possessive over what’s his and the steaminess of this book is off the charts, I think Levi might be my favorite alpha male yet in this series.

Another great book by Suzanne Wright, I love this series and this book was a great addition to it.
Loved the sassy female lead and developing relationship between the two main characters, the story was great and I really enjoyed revisiting some of the characters from the rest of the series.
I will definitely be rereading this book and can’t wait for the next it the series to be released.

I'm a big fan of Suzanne Wright's paranormal romances, most especially the Dark In You series, so I was overjoyed to receive a copy of the latest tomb via Netgalley. This is Levi's story, and it was a great read - it had a similar feel to the other books in the series, what I would say are similar obstacles the couple have to face, and we of course get glimpses of the other couples and Asher (who I absolutely adore). Knox and Harper remain my all time favourites, but it was nice to see Levi get his happy ending - I liked his love interest and it was nice to see a new girl coming into the group who we don't know much about at first, and it was also fab to learn some more about the world they all live in and how it all connects together. I'd recommend this series to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance and alpha males, and this book in particular to anyone who has read the other books in the series as it doesn't feel complete unless you read them all!
Thanks to Netgalley for this copy!

I’m so thankful to have received an ARC for this book! The Dark in You series is one of my favorites and I LOVED getting to read more of Levi, who since the start has been one of Knox Thornes’ sentinels.
It was so good to go back to this world in a brand new book. Even though I have monthly re-reads of this series, it was amazing!
Thank you to the publisher for granting me an ARC!

I have to say I was a little uncertain about reading this one as dating a sibling/step siblings ex is a bit of an ick for me. However, after reading and loving over 32 books of Suzanne's I decided to trust her process and I am so glad that I did.
This book was amazing in a totally different way than the others in the series, there was a lot more internal angst in this book than in previous ones but it fit perfectly for these characters. I personally think that Suzanne's ability to create such strong, unashamedly flawed characters is her greatest gift. The secondary characters are more than props used to add a line here and there, they are just as pivotal to the story as the main ones.
As for the main characters I love Piper, she is strong but has no problem accepting protection when she needs it, and she fit in perfectly with the rest of the crew. Levi was the perfect blend of possessive but not controlling and whilst they both needed to work through a few things I think that it made their relationship feel more natural and nuanced.
I have to say that I did NOT see the bad guy coming, but looking back there were a few small hints along the way so it didn't feel like it came totally out of the blue either. I am so looking forward to Larkin's story, I think that she is going to be such an interesting character.
**I was given this ARC for an honest opinion by NetGalley, thank you so much NetGalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK for the free read it was amazing.

It's finally time for Levi's story. I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I'm for this. Suzanne Wright can pull me into her stories and I don't have any other option but to read the book all in one sitting. Every. Single. Time. Her writing is magic and I cannot recommend her enough.
Levi is the leader of Knox's sentinels, but when he finds his anchor in Piper, the step=sister of one of his ex bed buddies, he won't stop at anything to have her. Piper knows Levi, and she has been attracted to him since she met him years ago, but never pursue him. However, now that they know they are each other anchors, Piper can't leave him out of her life. And when acts of vandalism start happening around her that escalate into physical attacks, Levi won't leave her side not only because she's his bond. Well, to get their happy ending they need to put their reservations aside, and Levi is a mean MF who knows how to get what he wants.
The book is not out yet and I'm already begging for the next story in the Dark In You series. How will I be able to last until the next book is out? I really have no idea.

I absolutely love this series and have been impatiently waiting for Levi’s story. Piper’s character is great and such a perfect foil for Levi’s personality. It’s so interesting to discover the different skills each type of demon has - Piper’s nightmare abilities seem to blend weirdly well with Levi’s reaper gifts. The death song brand was especially inventive, I thought! It was fun to catch up with other characters and also get to know Larkin a little better in this book. I can’t wait to read her and Teague’s story! Reading this book is wonderfully escapist, you can’t help but chuckle and get caught up in the story right from the first page. I know that I’ll be rereading this one for many years to come and can’t wait for the audio version to be released.

Reaper, the eighth book in the dark in you series is yet another exciting action packed rollercoaster of a story, full of the previous brilliant characters and snappy humorous dialogue.
This is Levi and Pipers story, Levi a sentinel and personal bodyguard to Prime Knox Thorne was six years previously dating Pipers stepsister Celeste, a catty selfish woman who hates Piper. Piper had always been attracted to Levi but knew he didn’t think much of her. When they come into contact again they are hit with the fact they are each other’s anchor.
As they navigate this new knowledge they have many obstacles to overcome, not least Celeste’s overblown reaction to this news but the fact that someone is trying to harm Piper, as well as Levi having to investigate murders of single mothers who have been killed the same way an aunt of his was when he was a young child.
Here we have the usual gang and it’s great to catch up with their lives, the squabbles, humour and close friendships that encircle Piper and bring her into their fold.
There is a lot of action in this book and I didn’t see who the culprit was so it was a real surprise. The relationship between Levi and Piper is beautiful they are truly made for each other. A wonderful read, bring on the next in this terrific series.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly.
