Slightly predictable in parts but enjoyable overall. Nice beach read with mostly mature well written characters telling the story of divorce fall out.
Thank you netgalley for the advanced copy

Another interesting book by Debbie Macomber about a family breakup and the consequences. This book has a real feel good factor about it and I felt so engrossed in every page, as I needed to know how the storyline would develop. An easy book to read and a lovely heartwarming book, as Debbie has a reputation of writing books with a special underlying message which is relevant to us all. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and looking forward to the next one. I hope that I will be successful in being chosen to read and review many more books

This book was a very enjoyable read as I’ve come to expect with any Debbie Macomber book. The main characters are mature and prove that there’s life after divorce, despite families and ex partners being difficult. A lovely gentle book which was a perfect read for a lazy day.

Firstly thank you Netgalley for this ARC. Another good book light hearted reading but really true to life This author is so brilliant love her books and they just can't get any better

Although not Debbie Marcomber's best work, It's Better This Way is a definite 4 stars, would be 4.5 if that were possible.
The story follows Julia who is divorced from Eddie and, although not wanting a relationship she meets Heath. But there is something about Heath that causes problems in their families. What's the problem and can it be sorted out?
As always with Debbie, this was a nice easy read, ideal for a day on the beach. The writing is engaging and the story gripping. Definitely not a book you can put down, so be ready for a few hrs to read in one sitting.
The characters are believable and easy to relate too.
Overall a highly recommended read.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
The story was lovely to read. It’s main characters were strong mature characters.
Julia, is a divorced mom, she has to daughters. After a difficult divorce, she loves her happy single, semiretired life. Soon, her daily routine is cut through by a neighbour, she talks to him politely. As time goes on, they begin a friendship which leads to them having feelings for one another.
For she’s worried that what she feels for Heath is "too good to be true". All she’s doing is protecting herself and her heart, abs it seems what she was thinking was right. Their feelings will be put to the test.
I was unable to put this down as I wanted to know, how it ends and does Julia get a happily ever after……..

I loved this, just the right amount of sweetness and romance set alongside the bitterness of an affair and a divorce and the mess of step siblings hating each other. Julia and Heath are both divorced and not looking to find a new partner, but they do and it seems to be something worth fighting for. Their respective divorces cut deep though and might be too much for them to put to one side, especially when their respective children also hate each other. A very enjoyable mess that needed sorting out.

As always I just love Debbie Macomber books and this did not disappoint. Julia gives in and signs the divorce papers and starts to live her life again. Not looking for romance she meets Heath but of course it’s not plain sailing . Loved the story and finished it in no time.
My thanks to NetGalley and Little Brown Book Group UK, Sphere for the read
