Any child of the 80's will appreciate this blast from the past. such a sense of nostalgia from this story. The addition of the time travel aspect was a stroke of genius. A lovely light hearted read. Will read more by this author in the future.

Time After Time by Louise Pentland is a delightful journey that explores the themes of self-discovery and the courage to step out of one's comfort zone. The story follows Tabby, a character who finds herself at a crossroads in life after a bombshell revelation from her father. Living in the familiar confines of her small hometown, she yearns for a change but is uncertain how to break free.

The narrative takes an intriguing turn when Tabby encounters Bea, a captivating free spirit with a distinctive sense of style. Through this newfound friendship, Tabby discovers the opportunity to revisit the past, finding herself transported back to the 1980s. Pentland weaves a charming tale as Tabby grapples with the chance to reinvent herself in a different era.

The author skillfully captures the essence of self-reflection and the desire for a fresh start. Pentland's writing style is engaging and filled with warmth, making it easy for readers to connect with Tabby's journey. The exploration of time travel adds an exciting and unique element to the narrative, offering a fresh perspective on the age-old theme of second chances.

Time After Time is a heartwarming and uplifting story that encourages readers to embrace change, take risks, and discover the strength within themselves. Louise Pentland's storytelling prowess shines through, making this novel a compelling read for those who enjoy tales of self-discovery with a touch of whimsy.

I love Louise and the premise of this book sounds so good. It's nice to have some real life characters in this one.

But I have reached 22% and I don't feel the pull of the time travelling ring. I'm sure I'll come back to this one in the future.

Definitely recommend to anyone who likes a light hearted book with some deeper things going on too.

I love Louise- I grew up watching her on YouTube.
This was a quick, entertaining and heartwarming story. Tabitha lives an uneventful life. She isn't super unhappy with her routine, but she does occasionally wish there was a bit more excitement in her life. After some unexpected news from her father, she finds a ring in the vintage shop which allows her to travel back to the 1980's. I love this time travel aspect in books.

If you're looking for your next beach read (or listen) then look no further.

Tabitha is a 20 something lady living with her boyfriend who makes no effort to spend time with Tabitha and her family and set expectations of her duties in their shared home.
Tabitha doesn’t mind though, disappointed yes but she’s secure that he must love her. Tabitha is in a comfortable routine, who doesn’t take comfort in routine, with her job in a vintage shop, her home and her regular Sunday dinner with her parents. One Sunday whilst at her parents without her boyfriend as usual, her father drops a bombshell which no one saw coming.
This bombshell, sets about a massive change to her father’s life and also in turn her mother’s. They seem to be taking it in their stride.
One day whilst in the shop, she tries on an item of jewellery that has caught her eye. Then she realises everything is different. Very different, 1980’s different. She makes a friend in the 1980’s whose outlook on like is much more confident than her own and makes her think more about her own life.
An easy to read book and a fun look back over the 1980’s. When you live through change, you forget how different thing’s really were.
With thanks to #NetGalley Bonnier Books UK for the preview read of #TimeAfterTime

I’ll admit something here now, I actually both read and listened to this book. I read it, got halfway through, then realised that I was actually going to be travelling a lot so began to listen to it on audiobook.

In either iteration I absolutely adored this book so so much! Is it a story of Tabby who manages just the most perfect vintage shop that seems to have everything in it including a very special ring. From the off I was with the lead as she navigated some changes in her life including a big one that was world changing.

I wondered about her boyfriend and also about how unfulfilled she was. I waited with bated breath for her time travelling and also to find out the big mystery of the book. The setting was brilliantly done, the magic and time travel perfect, characters so lovely, warm and this book had fab comedy too! The narrator was stellar- absolute perfection and I can’t recommend enough! Thanks so much to the publisher for the book in return for an honest review.

Time After Time is a unique and original read. It's very different from anything Louise Pentland has released before but it's utterly delightful and will have you reaching for the tissues.

I have loved all of Louise's books and this one didn't disappoint.

It wasn't the usual chick lit book - it had more of a magical twist to it. But I loved how it went back in time. Definitely made me feel a bit nostalgic. An overall great read.

I'm glad I got the chance to access this book however, I read it on an alternative platform but still felt it was important to leave feedback on here. It was relatable as I was a teen in the 80s and made me reminisce. I would definitely recommend it.

I'm a sucker for the 80s so this title had me from the off, add in time travelling ring transporting the protagonist back to 1989 and you are on to a winner! The premise is far-fetched but it works beautifully with a great cast of characters, past and present and lots of eccentricities. This book should not be missed. Thanks to negtally for the advance copy.
