Not a lot of plot or character development here. This has the potential to be a good story, I think the author could have done much more with it.

I chose this book based on the beautiful cover without reading the description. Erotica is not a genre I read; therefore, I do not feel qualified to write an accurate review. I DNF this book after 30% because it was not for me. For those who read erotica, sex or sexual tension started on page one. There was a murder mystery as a sub plot, characters were extremely wealthy and that lifestyle with its rewards and unethical behaviors were described in detail. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the Read Now opportunity. I am choosing to not post this review publicly outside of NetGalley since it is a critical review of a book I DNF.

Even though I’m not a great fan of erotica, I decided to give Club Sunrise as try. I’m glad I did.

What I liked about this novel is that it wasn’t all erotica. There’s some nice romance, and even a mystery. The plot twists are built in at the right moments that make for an engaging read that isn’t purely erotic activity driven. Author, Suriano has managed to compile that right amounts of erotica, mystery and romance in an attractive package.

There isn’t much to not like about Club Sunrise except that I didn’t much care for the multiple partner scenes.

Overall, a pretty masterful read that made me rethink my opinions toward erotic novels. Four outstanding stars.

I received a digital copy of the novel from BooksGoSocial. The review herein is completely my own and contains my honest thoughts and opinions.

I think that the book had a lot of potential, the plot not being one that I’ve really seen before. I liked the idea of a book club but for sex but unfortunately, it ended up being quite soapy or cheesy in most parts. I give it 3/5 stars I don’t really see myself reading again. Not a bad book necessarily just not my type.

This one wasn’t for me. Too much raunchiness without enough plot. I hung in there and read it but it was hard to finish.

I was nervous for the rest of the book when I read the "two-salad, two martinis a day diet" line (no thank you to glorifying undereating) and found myself unsurprised when the plot was shallower than a kiddie pool. This book was tagged as erotic romance - it's really just an erotic book from a misogynistic perspective.

This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, BooksGoSocial and by #NetGalley. Opinions expressed are completely my own.

I had expectations for this book, it wasn’t what I expected whatsoever. No buildup to a story, has a great premise quite disappointing.

Book is too soap opera porn for my taste. It could have been written much better and it’s not a book I could have in my library due to the nature.

I can’t finish this. There’s no build up in the story. Can’t throw sex scenes without literary foreplay.

I think this novel has a lovely premise but it wasn't executed properly. The character development is weak, the plot has too many holes and the sexy scenes are very lackluster.

I selected this book because it was tagged as a romance, of which there was very, very little. I typically enjoy a steamy sex scene but I found it to get in the way of the story, which, really, is the mystery and intrigued surrounding Jessica’s husband’s company. Club Sunrise, while the titular subject, has very little to do with the plot twists, making it come across as an excuse to include over the top sex scenes. This would have been much more interesting as a mystery/thriller than erotica. I found it easy to put this book down.

There were moments when I was reading this book when I couldn’t put it down. The author can captivate the reader. I enjoyed the sex scenes but felt it started right from the beginning when I didn’t even know the characters. The plot seemed a bit all over the place and at times i had to go back and reread a few sections. The chapters are quick and easy to read. I give this book 3 out of 5 stars.

Not what I was expecting, but pleasantly surprised with this one! A little bit “Fifty Shades of Grey” mixed in with some financial crime & mystery! Set in Fort Lauderdale & the Bahamas, “Club Sunrise” is a perfect summer escape.

Unsure.
I finished this book last night. I didnt write my review right away because I'm not sure what it was about this book.
I LOVED the idea of a book club disguised sex club. Love the idea of a woman searching for her own. Her own power, her own money, her own respect.
Jessica is a woman who married an older rich man who is searching for power, sex and respect. When she forms this book/sex club, she has no idea what is in store for her and her husband in the future. People aren't always who they say they are, and sex isn't always just sex.

I'm not really sure I liked the ending. With the option of more power and money in front of her, why not take it? But nevertheless, it was a quick read for me. I'd read more from this author if given the opportunity.
Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me an advanced read.

I loved the story in the book about a group of women taking charge of their life. Jessica is married to Al, an older man who is very wealthy. So provides her with everything but her life still lacks the excitement and fun she craves. Seeing a similar need among her friends she decides to form a secret club that allows women to engage in romantic or sexual fantasies.

When Al goes into hiding due to his business, Jessica is left alone trying to grow and her club a profitable venture. There's also a murder of a prominent figure which leaves a lot of questions unanswered.

I felt there were lot of sexual fantasies and encounters in the story and in most.of the chapters that the story became less about solving a murder or doing anything worth reading. All the women cheat on their spouses and rate the young men they sleep with which didn't really sit right with me. It was quite frustrating to see that much sex in a book without any story of substance.

An entertaining read great for lover of erotica which starts as it means to go on … turning the tables on the rich older men parading the young eye candy this certainly provides some eye watering reading

Club Sunrise is an interesting plot which was reminiscent of a Bravo Real Housewives episode gone terribly wrong. This story follows a woman named Jessica who is essentially a trophy wife to a pretty successful business man. Her life seems extravagant but it appears she is bored at home and is interested in having relations with men other than her husband.
She is an apart of a book club which she wants to second as an escort service. In addition to her escapades ,there was also an unsolved murder which happens within the story.

I believe this book is interesting although it would have been nice to get more details on several of the main characters. I do think this would be a spicy book club pick or a great poolside/beach read for spicy, semi-suspenseful novel lovers.

I have been trying to figure out what I didn't like about this book. I am a strong believer that if you have erotica that is not a novella - I think a decent backstory needs to be added. I found sex or sex adjacent occurrence happens pretty much on page one with little context of the characters and their stories.
I found the story a little disjointed with the scandal, the prostitution ring start-up, and the relationship with her husband - I was lost a lot of the time. '
The sex scenes were many however they didn't last too long - that could be someone's personal choice but I would rather lot of dialogue in my sex scenes

A-ok read for me personally

DNF at 59%

When I started this one, I didn't have high expectations. I wasn't expecting it to be a work of art, just for it to be entertaining. Sadly, it didn't end up working out. The writing style drove me crazy, and the word choices were questionable... I gave this one a legitimate chance, but it wasn't my thing.

It took me a little bit to get into this one. I really didn’t connect with the characters and they felt sort of two dimensional. However I ended up really enjoying it and wished for more of Jessica and Pedro’s relationship! So much of the book was focused on the “book club” and erotic scenes which I didn’t hate but I also found myself wanting more world and plot building. There were times it felt like it was just filler to get to more sex. Would probably give it a 3/5 overall as I did really enjoy the second half of the book!
