This is a good and interesting interesting introduction to a series that could be pretty popular.

The art style is both detailed and minimalist. There’s a mix of interesting characters in Talli’s group of “tagalong’s” who all have their own motivations (or are being held against their will).

I’m hoping for more backstory on Talli herself, as well as her group.

The plot seems fairly solid so far, with a good hook at the beginning, and plenty of potential in the story.

Super cute! I really loved the art style. It was so much fun to read a comic/graphic novel that was based on a medieval style adventure.

This graphic novel has beautiful art that is very reminiscent of retro manga and anime. The story was interesting too, with some political intrigue and mysteries yet to be uncovered. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

The story follows Talli, an exiled princess with secret abilities, her guard, and a quirky old man and his brooding grandson. The plot is easy to follow and the art style does an excellent job of keeping a quick pace during the fight scenes. The art style is fun and well done as well. Beware, it does end in a bit of a cliffhanger! Overall, I quite enjoyed this graphic novel and will definitely be looking out for future installments!

Talli is the story of a girl who is blessed with a magical power that allows her to summon mystical beasts with her blood. She is the last of her kind, and is being hunted down due to this power being dangerous. For her entire life, Talli has been hidden in a castle with her adopted father; but now someone has figured out about her power and she must flee with her guard Alan to save her life! Along the way, she meets both friend and foe. There are many who are called heretics, that wish to help her due to their belief in her powers, but also many people of power who aim to kill the heretics and Talli due to her power.

I thought this was an interesting premise for a fantasy story. I originally thought this was a manga, and tried reading it left to right panel, but apparently, it is just in the style of a manga (this confused me!) While it wasn't a personal favorite of mine, I can definitely see the appeal to readers who enjoy a fantasy world and following a character who has a special power that is passed down through blood. The story was fast paced, full of adventure, and well thought out. Everything made sense, including the world building and the plot. I can see this series having a good following!

Talli, Daughter of the Moon, Vol 1 is a French medieval fantasy comic about a young woman named Talli being hunted down by a rival of her father's, Lord Ulric, and the forces he's sent after her.

Talli comes from a long line of magical women know as Summoners, women who summon chimeras through the power of their spent blood, who were servants and descendants of the Moon Goddess. Hunted down into obscurity, Summoners are perceived to be a threat of everyone around them, and anyone aiding and abetting them risks the threat of being labeled a heretic and punished accordingly. Genuine heretics, few and far between, still worship the Moon Goddess, and it's through their aid, and the help of a peddlar and his grandson, that Talli will live to see another day as she and her only living servant and protector make their perilously long journey to their safe haven.

Talli, Daughter of the Moon is a beautifully drawn nod to both manga and Western comics. The lines are crisp and delicately drawn, and the character design is varied and unique across a bevy of background and recurring faces. The plot is fairly quick paced and entertaining, and there are tropes in it that fans of both Eastern and Western media will enjoy.

I thought it was a very solid first volume, and I'm looking forward to reading and reviewing the second.

I really enjoyed this graphic novel! The art was really fun, the facial expressions were hilarious, and the storyline was very intriguing! I appreciate the fact that menstruation is spoken about very matter of factly and not like it's a bad thing, but I also find it really over done and tiring that she gets her powers when she's on her period. I'm just sick of the trope where a person gets their powers as soon as their first period hits, it made me roll my eyes a bit lol. Other than that, this was great!

This was a good read. The characters, plot, and artwork outdid and are probably my favourite in this comic. I look forward to the rest of this series. Thank you to the publisher for the copy.

I typically love graphic novels and this one pulled my attention from the title and description alone. However, I felt the plot was lackluster, even though we started off with a high-speed chase/run away. The action continued throughout and this novel is certainly fast paced. Around the 60% mark, we got more explanations and more of what the plot points are/will be, but for me, this is a bit late in the story! Though learning and gaining that information made the story fascinating, and I was compelled to keep reading.

The novel itself is easy to read and understand, the writing and art styles are very accessible. The art style is not my favorite for graphic novels, but I can appreciate its accessibility.

Overall, it was an entertaining and easy read, much quicker than originally thought, with an interesting premise. I'm not sure I will continue with the series, but it may intrigue other readers!

I loved the art style and story narration. Talli was a very fun character to follow. It'll be interesting to see how the plot plays out over the course of this series.

Talli, Daughter of the Moon Vol. 1 by Sourya was an exciting and fantastical graphic novel about a secret princess with magic, an escape adventure, and the friends met along the way.

The drawings had this almost soft, sketchbook feel that was really appealing, and the images were fluid and made it easy to grasp what was happening.

The plot was fast paced, action-packed, and intriguing, and the characters were unique and interesting.

All around, I had a really good time reading this volume and I hope to continue with more when it's available.

'Talli, Daughter of the Moon Vol. 1' with story and art by Sourya Sihachakr and translation by Francois Vigneault is a graphic novel about a princess on the run and the allies she makes along the way.

Talli is an adopted daughter of Lord Koska who has hidden her because she has a dangerous hidden power. An enemy named Lord Ulric finds her and she flees in the chaos of battle with a knight named Sir Alan. Along the way, they pick up other allies, discover some of Talli's secrets, and meet the relentless Captain Nina, who may be a match for Talli's new friends.

The art is a pretty great manga style that I quite liked. The story doesn't complete in this volume, but it is a tight plot and an interesting world so far.

Very expressive and gorgeously detailed art sets the stage for what has the potential to be a solid epic fantasy story.
We only get little glimpses into the characters and the world they inhabit in this volume, but it's enough to really show how big the story can get while keeping the humanity of the characters center stage.
I'm looking forward to seeing where future volumes take this.

This was a cute and fun little graphic novel and the art style reminded me a lot of manga, stunning! Sadly the story felt a bit blunt being very generic to me. her powers are interesting but the rest felt a bit less explored or developed and brings a bit down the story for me

I could also not quite figure out the personalities of some of the characters and found them acting weirdly at some points in the story.🤔

I am torn with this one. I might give the second one a chance, but I am not yet sure.🧐

Absolutely loved this manga/graphic novel! Reminded me of Yona of the Dawn, with a beautiful fantasy/adventure plot, engaging and fun characters, and a blossoming romance in the works. Super entertaining and perfect for reluctant readers!
