Very young science book for the early years of primary school. Each double-page spread presents an aspect of our world – farming, weather, animal categorisation, riverside life – and gives us highly pictorial word lists, with some leading questions to be asked of the young student to get them thinking about the planet we call home and what we’re doing to it. It’s not all ecological doom and gloom, of course – this instead gets us out of our rooms and into the nature around us to appreciate it more, without hammering into young heads its fragility.
