My kids absolutely loved this book. I will be purchasing these for Christmas presents for the nieces and nephews. Keep up the great content!

A fun book that helps children have something to do while in the restaurant, and also hone their observation skill. They can also imagine what can happen in the restaurant while savoring their meals. Overall, this is a good book to keep children busy while waiting, and gain some more knowledge in return.

Love this series and our toddler loved this activity book. I think as he gets older too it will be even more entertaining.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. A great activity book to take to a dinner out, but since it is an activity book, it's not a great book for the library.

Great idea perfectly executed. This is a fanoulous idea for a book and the activities have a nice range to keep kids engaged.

A great book full of activities, I will be taking this with us on our holiday when we will be eating out a lot, fab ideas.

This book is far more than what I expected it to be. It's not a simple activity book to entertain kids whilst at a restaurant but a comprehensive activity book full of interesting and fun activities based on restaurants and the dining experience.

The activities are really varied and encourage a range of learning areas such as creative writing and problem solving.

This would be a fun book for any primary school aged child.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for giving me a free digital copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review.

A great screen-free activity for kids! The activities in this book are all food/restaurant related and have a nice mixture of creative drawing prompts, puzzles, mazes, and other activities. This activity book would probably be best for the 2nd-4th grader as an independent activity, but younger children would enjoy it with some adult support!

Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for the advance digital copy in exchange for an honest review

What a fun book to keep the kids entertained while they wait for their food!

Bound to keep them occupied and tolerant especially if you want them to behave and the food may take a while.

This book was perfect for us over the weekend. While we waited to get lunch I gave my phone to the kids (digital ARC) and it kept them busy until out food arrived.

I like the varsity of games such as fill in the word, matching, coloring and draw a picture. We have an age range of 3-11 and this had something for each of the kids.

The illustrations are colorful and fit the book really well. I will get the actual book so we have it for our travels.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

If you *have* to take a book to the dining table, make it this one – it is at least themed with restaurants, eating, diets and so on. Each page has something to do, from a task where we design the look of our own restaurant, to mini, infant sudokus and word searches but with numbers. It's all been judged well, and whether the young user prefers to think or to craft they should still get a fair bit out of this. I think the people seeing something lacking will be those wanting something a bit more Reithian – there is a true/false test about superfoods, and something about food deliveries and food miles that results in two simple maths sums for us to do, and that's it. This could easily have taught more nutrition, even in an underhand way, and even for this young an audience, and it would have been great. As it is it's a decent spread of activities with an important linking theme, but one that clearly overlooked its own potential somewhat. Three and a half stars.

What an awesome activity book perfect for restaurants! There is a huge array of colorfully illustrated activities and logic games for kids about restaurants, food, and cuisines.

I would suggest this for children around 7-10. I would also love a book like this targeted to younger children as they tend to have a harder time at restaurants.

Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group-Wide Eyed Editions for providing this ARC.

The skills within the pages include many life skills, like knowing your address, how to fill in an invitation. It gave many creative opportunities too. I want one for myself!

This activity book is perfect to occupy children while waiting at a restaurant. I originally thought the book would be aimed at very young children, like a colouring book, but I think that it would probably be a good fit for children who can read and complete the activities more independently, likely around age 7 or 8, give or take a few years depending on the child. There are several different activities that have to do with a restaurant/food theme and are sure to keep children interested for longer than those colouring mats lots of restaurants give small children! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to check out this book!

So many fun activities in one book! The illustrations are really colorful and eye catching too. It would make an excellent teaching tool on F&B to occupy a child at a restaurant or anywhere else, for that matter.

Highly recommended. I wonder what else is in the series!

5 stars.

Thank you Net Galley for an ARC of At the Restaurant Activity Book by Alice Hobbs. What a wonderful, fun, non-tech activity book to occupy elementary age children at a restaurant or anywhere. There are 58 different activities to keep any child engaged. I really like that the activities are varied and combine fun and learning in a delightful way. No matter if your child likes to draw, do puzzles or mazes, match items, or color there is something for everyone. There are a few pages that involve some math, science, and health concepts but those activities are designed to have fun first with learning as a great alternative outcome. Throughout the book, there are 21 word searches, spot the difference, and other games and at the end there is an answer section for children to check their own answers. There are three other books in this series that I will be exploring as well. I wish my son was still the age for this book because I would definitely be getting it.

I didn't realize the book would be so restaurant oriented, I just thought it was something to keep the kids busy while at a restaurant, but I love it either way. I think it would be a great dry-erase book so they can work through it repeatedly. The different activities were very diverse and something that could involve the parents as well as the kids. Great way to keep kids busy while out and about. Thank you #netgalley for a copy of this book.

This book is a really good idea, there is a great mixture of activities, math puzzles, riddles, word search, that could be done at home to prepare a little one for going to a restaurant or while out at a restaurant. I’d say this book is suitable for children age 5/6 up. There is great art work though out which are diverse and inclusive ,parts are informative and all tasks require a bit of thinking presented in a number of ways . I really the liked the tasks that required a bit of imagination and creativity, design your menu,.
I’d buy this book for a big family meal out for children of mixed ages, the very little ones would enjoy doing this along side older children. That would be only note of caution, children who are more likely to need a distraction in a restaurant might find the book to tricky to do without help. That being said this book is a great idea and fun.

This is a very cute book for partents/ babysitters to take along with them to keep children entertained during a dinner out. This activity book can replace the cellphone or tablet that the children would normally be holding and gives them some creative space to draw and write.

A really cute activity book for children about food and restaurants! I love the variety of activities included - there is some coloring, but there are also things like I spy, mazes, connect the dots, and more.
