When Hannah suffers a devastating loss, it acts as a trigger for her to make changes she didn't even know she needed. This is a a gentle holiday read and in many ways a love letter to both London and Dublin. Irish readers will be particularly amused at the accuracy of the SoCoDu setting!

I adored this authors previous book so was excited to read this one! To read this book is to laugh, to mourn, to learn, and to grow…. Brimming with joy and packed with a sparkling cast of characters. Charming and compelling… a beautiful book, wise, heartfelt and full of hope. Witty and delightful, this story is a salve to the soul.

A Heart-warming, poignant and funny five-star read. I don’t want to put anything down about this story, as I won’t do it justice, Hannah is lost and it’s a difficult place to come back from, but with help she tries and that’s all we can ask for in life isn’t it. Get your pen ready as I think this new year you will be doing your own list; I know I will.

After the devasting death of her best friend, Celeste stumbles across Hannah’s new years resolution list that she will not be able to complete. Celeste resolves to complete the list for her friend in the hope that it will help her come to terms with her huge loss.
With the help of her friends, Celeste starts to live her life through completing these monthly tasks and taking huge leaps outside of her comfort zone.
I really enjoyed the character development in the book and the range of emotions that they go through, lovely read.

Your best friend of more than half of your life suddenly dies and you feel totally adrift. The group meets up and still feel the loss but finding hananah list of new year resolution that she never had chance to do gives you a spark. Follow the list and the group as they move through the year, seasons. Group dynamics change sometimes for the better.
A poignant book that will make you think of your own true friends.

Read and reviewed in exchange for a free copy from NetGalley. This was a delightful read and one I went through in a day. Bell created engaging, well-written characters and wrote an excellent and enjoyable story, coloured by beautiful descriptive imagery which really set the scene. I was invested and engaged with the characters and storyline.

This is a nice book, sad in places but also heart warming and funny.

Celeste is grieving after losing her best friend Hannah, everybody seem to be moving on but her. On the first New Year without Hannah she's given a list of things Hannah wanted to do and decides to do one every month.

She pushes herself to do the challenges, things that are out with her comfort zone and with everyone she reconnects with her friends and family finding a new perspective and purpose.

The characters are relatable and likeable which really draws you into the book.

Another good book from the author, so if you haven't read Baby it's Cold Outside put it on your list!

Thank you to Netgalley and Penguin Books for the ARC.

In equal measures heartbreaking, uplifting, beautiful and romantic. I completely took all the characters in the book into my heart. I wished all of them the very best. It is written with such beauty and with such grace and tackles such a complicated topic with such delicacacy and grace. It's a really lovely touching read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Michael Joseph, Penguin Random House for this ARC.

This book was beautiful - it made me laugh and cry. It’s truly a story of grief, love, friendship and learning to move on. I read it in one sitting and despite its heartbreaking premise, it felt like a warm hug.

It did remind me of P.S. I Love You, but I loved that it was about a friendship and not a romance.

I would definitely read this again and would love to read more from Emily Bell.

This Year's for Me and You by Emily Bell is an engaging story of a year in the life of Celeste. Her best friend for half her life, Hannah, is killed in a tragic accident just after new year, leaving behind her list of resolutions. In an attempt to kickstart her life, Celeste decides to fulfil Hannah's list. Along the way she re-connects with friends and her own past self.

I enjoyed this very much. The characters were real and rounded and the descriptions of London and Dublin brought the setting to life.

This Years For Me and You is a nice read for the most part. It does deal with grief and loss as well which could be hard for some people to read. I thought it was a good book, I didn’t love it but it kept me reading.

Ok so I was a little worried about reading this in July especially with the heatwave we are having here in the UK. I tend to only read Christmas romances in December but actually the story spans all months of the year so please don't let this put you off.

We start off with a story of friendship between Hannah and Celeste which felt genuine as the two meet and become friends in an interesting and realistic way. Emily Bell wrote their friendship beautifully and it was very believable, there's nothing worse than being taken out of a story due to unrealistic interactions between characters. We get to experience along with Celeste how she has to navigate through her life after tragedy. Although I would have preferred more romance in the story it still kept me hooked and hopeful for our main character Celeste to find love or even just happiness. It was beautifully written, genuine and realistic and I would love to pick up more of her books in the future.

Oh my heart!!!! I don’t think I’ll get over this book for some time!! It was absolutely beautiful and I couldn’t put it down! My heart was broken and then it was forged back together again! A stunning novel

I loved this book! Once I started it I found I was sat late into the evening devouring it.

It didn't feel entirely original - it had a similar premise to Ceclia Aherns P.S I Love You, albeit with a list from a friend rather than a lover.

I also got elements of storylines from a 90s/00s TV show BUT is any story ever truly original these days?

I'm hoping that the eARC I received will be going through another edit as it was littered with spelling mistakes and some continuity errors e.g she orders a tea, next paragraph picks up her coffee to take a sip.

I would still recommend it as a fantastic, lighthearted read.

This is a really lovely story about two best friends who’s bond runs deep. Hannah and Celeste have always lived closely together with their lives running parallel but one of the girls dies unexpectedly the other is left to cope alone. An uncovered list of New Years resolutions helps the grieving process and givers Hannah the ability to move on. Shades of PS I love You in here and all the better for it. A really great read!
